If Nintendo used this to promote the WiiU by giving it away like they did to WiiSports, it would do SO good for sales they have no idea... multiple friends of mine said they'd buy a wiiU if it came with this....
Genuine likelihood they would not spawn that idea for it being 'inappropriate'. We know it was originally possible, but Nintendo have become stricter with their morals since.
Oh my god, this looks so freaking awesome. I can not wait for this, what a creative way to use old games. They may be old, but their gameplay is timeless.
RedSupernova64: First, there are a ton of challenges. Over 200. For each you either have to do a set of 3-5 things in each game quickly, or do some slightly longer thing. The first Donkey Kong Stage has you jump over 2 barrels, then smash 2 with a hammer, then reach the top platform starting from 2 floors down in the game's first stage, then breaking the last brick in the game's final stage. One of the first Super Mario Bros. stages is to speed run level 1-1. Then there are remix stages that change something about the original level. Examples are playing Excitebike at night where you can only see the tiny bit in front of you that your headlight illuminates, or collecting coins in Mario Bros. while controlling two characters at once, playing Super Mario Bros. in a snowstorm that ices over the entire stage, or playing Donkey Kong Jr. and having the platforms occasionally turn invisible. After completing each, you get a rating of 1, 2, or 3 stars. If you complete the challenge really fast, you get rainbow stars. For me, getting rainbow stars on ever level has been really addicting. I think I have 90 or so levels worth now. As you play more challenges, you unlock more source games (you only start with challenges from 6/15 NES games featured) as well as stamps you can use on Miiverse. These stamps are NES sprites that you can paste into your posts. The variety of games and challenges keeps things from stagnating, and it's totally addicting and a blast to play.
RedSupernova64 Michael explained it well, and it's the kind of game you can play in spurts. You know, between your Pikmin 3's and Super Mario 3D World's and COD sessions or whatnot, you can play a string of these here and there. First day I bought it I got sucked in and played like three hours straight.
If they will make a SNES Remix, they should have a Boss Rush challenge as well. My guess for challenges for a Boss Rush: Super Mario World: Defeat Bowser! Donkey Kong Country: Defeat King K. Rool! The Legend of Zelda: A Link to the Past: Defeat Ganon! Super Metroid: Defeat Mother Brain! Kirby Super Star: Defeat Marx! Yoshi’s Island: Defeat Baby Bowser! Star Fox: Defeat Andross!
I've been playing this for a few hours now and I think it's very good (even though I'm not an avid NES player) NES Remix reminds me of an extended version of the ultra rare Nintendo World Championships.
Would also like to see an SNES Remix for the Switch or Switch 2. My guess for games that can be included: Super Mario World Yoshi’s Island Donkey Kong Country The Legend of Zelda: A Link to the Past F-Zero Super Metroid Kirby Super Star Star Fox
Nintendo should make a new game with the Super Mario Bros. graphics. It could have a few more abilities, and it could try some weird hit-or-miss stuff they don't want to try in a mainline game. More themes like the ice and silhouette themes in this. Also, Luigi.
If I were playing this....1:00 "OK in the dark. That's not too hard...1:12 wait what? Where is the rest of the world? 1:20 Oh God, ice! Don't get hit, don't get hit! 1:25 *throws controller*"
There is actually a retail version of both this and the sequel coming in April of this year. But it's only in Japan so far. I would LOVE to buy this game along with the sequel attached because I dislike digital only games and I want to hold my game and view it like a trophy.
Only challenges, but in NES Remix 2 you can play Super Luigi Bros., which is just Super Mario Bros., but you play as Luigi and go left instead of right.
If only they made a 3rd one with the ability to play each single game (maybe with in-game coins you get from the challenges, then you buy the games in the store)
This actually looks pretty sweet.
Man love it! Now I have to go play mario all Starr's lol
@RoFunk lol

The Nintendo community was so much more wholesome 6 years ago
Right under your comment is someone saying they should have included a minigame where you shoot the Duckhunt dog, but I see what you mean.
I think the word you are looking for is suicidal
cause nintendo was better before iwata unfortunately died
@@luginess0 that was john stossel.
@@MickeyMouse-lm6zj I do wonder if Square Enix's president caused Iwata's cellphone to emit cancer causing sonic radiation.

What was Nintendo thinking, not including a Duck Hunt challenge where you can shoot the freaking dog?!
laughed so hard at that. (dog giggles*)
***** ...No, it was a NES game. Everyone knows that.
That is pretty funny!
NOOOOOO! WHY WOULD THEY NOT DO THAT?!
Genuine likelihood they would not spawn that idea for it being 'inappropriate'. We know it was originally possible, but Nintendo have become stricter with their morals since.

This game, it's friggin' GOLD

I own it physically!
Anyone else caught off guard by Link in Donkey Kong?
He doesn't seem to have his sword. That old man DID tell him that it was dangerous to go alone.
aMAX yep
And to make matters worse, this is not Super Smash Bros.
Pure genius Nintendo. Take my money. #ChallengeAccepted Game On!

AG Entertainment 3 hours? Pssh. The day after I got Super Mario 3d World, I played it for more than *seven hours straight!* Wow... where is my life?
"What Nintendo World Championship should have been but wasn't."
Now that mentioned it...
Welp...
10 years and one nes world championship game later, this comment is still true.
0:21 That infamous one-up glitch from the original SMB; good to see this as a challenge or sorts.
*Goes on Wii U gamepad and buys it* Thank you for making me relive my childhood again Nintendo had a ruff day and this helped out alot.
Did you complete it? Miiverse Stamps and all or just casual?

Been playing this all afternoon. Its like a NES version of WarioWare. Its fantastic fun
so...9-volt.
NES warioware does exist it’s called 9-volt
Nintendo, what madness are you up to this time! I love it.
With the Wii U eShop closing, we're gonna lose this...
*physical copy*
Even though I’m tired of the Switch ports, I think we need this one.
We need that on the Switch
A challenge, is it... you.
Are.
ON.
Is.
Life.
MultiYoshiman I ment to reply... Not make another sentence... I ment it IS a challenge (to me at least)
I did not expect you here

Awesome!! but really remixing Nes games almost 30 years later is really random but very cool!!
This game is pretty damn fun.
Link in Donkey Kong, disappearing platforms! This looks awesome!
Anyone remember this in 2018? If anything deserves a switch port, it's this
we are SO back
Been playing this all day long.
I bought NES remix pack a month ago and i FINALLY got 50 of the stamps in remix 1! i wish they made a SNES remix pack.
I Hope this Goes to Nintendo Switch someday❤
THE WII U INFRAVALORED
Now all we need is SNES remix and N64 remix and were go to go :)
If they will make a SNES Remix, they should have a Boss Rush challenge as well. My guess for challenges for a Boss Rush:
Super Mario World: Defeat Bowser!
Donkey Kong Country: Defeat King K. Rool!
The Legend of Zelda: A Link to the Past: Defeat Ganon!
Super Metroid: Defeat Mother Brain!
Kirby Super Star: Defeat Marx!
Yoshi’s Island: Defeat Baby Bowser!
Star Fox: Defeat Andross!
i just got thise game i gave it to my dad for fathers day where gonna play it together later
You're a great son! Get him a NES classic too in November. c:
No se me ha acusado a
I was disapointed, wish I would have watched the trailer, I just want to play the game, not do the challenges.
Haha! that is such a great present idea since he probally grew up with a NES or a genesis
Mario Gaming Roblox and more yjzkdjxjjxjxxfkf
I'd wish Wii U could come back , it had so much potential 😢❤❤❤😊
Wow, that looks simply amazing. I want it!
Looks great :D I especially like the one where you play Link in Donkey Kong
When is SNES Remix coming out?
I made myself an 80's playlist just so I could get the full experience playing this game. I regret nothing.
Hmm pretty cool, I bet all the retro loves are gonna give this a buy!
Retro, challenging, and FUN!!!!
I Love the old games *.*
I’d love to see a port of this to the switch
@Inbar Shemesh I second this
There's a 3DS version that takes content from both 1 and 2, although a lot of it got cut.
me too!
Wellllllll
DuckHunt:The dog laugh at you since the launch of NES(dog giggles)
I've been playing this for a few hours now and I think it's very good (even though I'm not an avid NES player)
NES Remix reminds me of an extended version of the ultra rare Nintendo World Championships.
this would be a cool switch online bonus
looks like a lot of fun, checking it now.
Get ready for some nes-tastic challenges
This looks pretty hype! This is definitely going to be something I need to play with my brother when we're together for holidays lol
Huh, no Metroid? That one would seem like a no brainer...
Retro gaming on a modern console. I'm sold!
my childhood, ITS COME BACK!!! with a twist :D
This is a cool idea, I think I'll be downloading this one!
Love it bringing back all the old original release titles for the nes the black box games hold some true memories for me
1:04 Limbo XD
This is pretty cool, the challenges and remixed levels and all in many of the coolest old-school games.
does anyone else want this on switch?
I'm still play this amazing thing
This is a must-have game for any retro gaming fan. So much content and really really fun with buddies who grew up with these titles!
This is great! already looking forward to SNES Remix ;)
Link in Donkey Kong, the new challenges in some of the games, upgraded graphics, ability to play the classics..... I really need a Wii U man.
Genius. I will buy this. Once I get a WiiU. When Smash is out. And I have money.
You ever get one?
I'd like to know what kinda tree sap Mario was sipping to dodge that! 1:18
Love the new challenge to a retro game very interesting
If only they port this to switch 😉 or make a new one
Seems like they are
I love the idea of link being in donkey Kong
Would also like to see an SNES Remix for the Switch or Switch 2. My guess for games that can be included:
Super Mario World
Yoshi’s Island
Donkey Kong Country
The Legend of Zelda: A Link to the Past
F-Zero
Super Metroid
Kirby Super Star
Star Fox
I loved when I was a kid playing NES...and SNES
Dat song. Where do I get it??
Yea this is better than that nintendo world championship nes edition

Nintendo...... Thank you.... This looks like days of fun! :D
i'm reminded of the nes characters in tetris ds. I hope we have another one of those
Yo quiero este juego en mi Wii U, es perfecto para revivir viejos recuerdos de mi vida de videogamer
Hey NSO, take a look at that
They should of put this on the switch
There should be a SNES Remix in the future. That would be neat.
Anybody else thinking of the Nintendo World Championships or... dare I say it...
*The Wizard?!*
🙂
Having a blast with this game. Well worth it.
can we have this on switch
So, basically, this is like just one of the sections of WarioWare?
no it's different and not always timed
Great, great, great! This game is BEGGING for DLC content!
I got this game on my 3DS and it is amazing!
Sounds cool! I need to get a WiiU!
Me 2
Wii U's getting all these awesome games and I'm just sitting here with my 3DS.
Then go get a Wii U, Don't have money? Then save.
Brilliant idea. I'd love to, but one main problem. I haven't a single source of income.
Could you port this game to the Switch? Thank you :)
nintendo please open wii shop again pleaseeee :(
awesome trailer nintendo of america
I like this idea a lot, I want to see a SNES and N64 Remix games be a thing too!!
Babysteps yay!
If I were playing this....1:00 "OK in the dark. That's not too hard...1:12 wait what? Where is the rest of the world? 1:20 Oh God, ice! Don't get hit, don't get hit! 1:25 *throws controller*"

This is actually such a great idea!

What ever happend to donkey kong jr?
can you actually play the full games or is it just the challenges?
Only challenges, but in NES Remix 2 you can play Super Luigi Bros., which is just Super Mario Bros., but you play as Luigi and go left instead of right.
Just 3 stared everything. Awesome! Awesome game. Huge surprise.....keep up the good work.
Imma play this all day err day!
If you thought NES was hard enough
Startropics and Duck Hunt please! And Bubble Bobble
Maybe in NES Remix 2.0
Nintendo does not own the Startropics and Bubble Bobble franchises.
Tranceplant82 Nintendo made Startropics :| They own it.
If only they made a 3rd one with the ability to play each single game (maybe with in-game coins you get from the challenges, then you buy the games in the store)
Nintendo reminding everyone what hardcore gaming really means. This is brilliant.
gotta love the remix.
They're starting to bring it.
Inject into my brain now! This and M2's excellent Sega 3D Classics line is the direction Nintendo's virtual console should be evolving into!
