Can totally imagine David playing this out in the field, or in Solomon's Court...brought tears to my eyes! One of my favorite hymns!
I taught myself how to play "Little David play on your harp" on my 26 string harp I made...
The first time I heard this, I ended up in tears. I hadn't heard this hymn in so long and you played it so beautifully. The very next day, I bought my own Lyre! I'm learning to play it now! thank you so much!

I just wanted to say thanks, because your videos stopped me from making a big mistake ordering my first lyre online. I didn't even realize until watching you play that some lyre designs block access to several of the strings from behind. I definitely want to be able to learn to play freely with both hands, like you, and being able to play all the strings seems important. So, I ordered a style of lyre like yours instead, where all the strings can be played from the front and back. Now, I am super excited to start playing with it once it arrives. Thanks so much!

How many strings does this lyre have? Please make an accompaniment version of this recorded in a better recording studio. I love to sing with this kind of accompaniment. It inspired me to learn how to play the lyre.

Are there any good instruction books available for the 16-atring lyre? I am having no luck searching. I can pick out songs, but I want to learn so much more!
I myself am unsure Ma'am where to find good resources for the lyre harp. I only had some background with the concert harp and then tried to incorporate the technic to the lyre... you can see other people hold and play the lyre very differently from mine... I hope you can find a good resource soon!
