But let's be honest here. Kalstit is practically in her own archetype.

just got her today. i was aiming for her anyway so im really happy. if i got kaltsit instead i would have like "oh ok nice, im strong now". morale of the story, meta operators sure are really valuable, but waifu/husbando operators will give you that happy feeling you cant explain

Anyways, I heard shinning’s skin will get a rerun soon so start saving for that, it’s a really cool skin

Imagine we got Shining'alter as a Art guard like Surtr.
After all she does have a sword, but doesn't use it.
No one can outstanding Surtr as Arts Fighter
I prefer her as Reaper or Liberator
or maybe as Swordmaster she can make this class useful again
And what if they make new class just for her? Like Healing-Guard???
She'll be the true harmacist.
No one knows what shining was ... she is stronger than surtr
(she is once the strongest swordsman in whole arknight but decided to sheath her sword to heal)
She's not really a must-have but she really helps out your team a lot even when starting out.
As my first 6* operator, the times when I didn't bring her to a stage is when I realized I've been taking her for granted, her talent to increase defense is really great especially if your team is still relatively low leveled
She was my "first" Six Stars too, got her when I was trying to get Schwarz on the Standard Banner
She is my first 6* and probably only reason i clear a lot of stages underleveled

Kinda sad to see her now is less used, since most enemy now deal with arts damage(i think) and for future event they will be an enemy that deal element damage, but overall, she's really good operator, that skill 3 def buff is no joke, blaze, thorns, and etc can be a "defender" with that, even defender operator can be more durable

She was my first 6 star and carries me so much. She's just a really simple but reliable unit to have in the game.
my Arknights story goes as follows:
started playing cause of some "cultured" art of shining (her swimsuit to be pricise) , got her as my 1st 6*
, second E2 (after exu) , First M3 , used her in almost everything i ever did in the game,
never regretted a damn thing , i love her to death.
Build Shining > Get Swimsuit = Free skin selector when guard shining comes out. Hopium
Shining was always by my side whenever i trouble the any boss that has a high physical attack or a difficult enemy
I use Shining all the time. Even if I have the "better" healers like Warfarin, I would still stick with Shining.
Man, can't wait for her alter version if Hypergryph release it. My two cents is that she would be a 6 star variant of La Pluma or maybe a good old enmity guard with a twist.
My first 6* Operator, and she's still in every team I have.
I have a strong feeling that she will have her own Alternate self, considering the potential on her story...
thank you sir, this is just the push that I need to continue building her. She's been stuck in Elite 1 for 5 months since I realize I'll barely use her and then suddenly her skin becomes buyable a few hours from now so I've been anxious wether I should build her or not.
Edit: guess I need to wait for skin a few more times...
She is my first 6 star in my account, and since then become my main medic. Her defense buff made my ranged operators have higher chance to survive against physical damage
I jus pulled eunectus 1st pull and Shining within 4 pulls , I am very satisfied
I've bought her skin since the first siesta event, I'm just glad that I finally have her in my squad.
I got her in Recruitment yesterday. My favorite ASMR medic.
She's among the earliest 6* I got in the game and also the earliest op I'd built. I use her from the start till today and I could say that I had quite amount of experience using her. But, nontheless I still watch this video, simply because I like the way u explain things. Concise and coherent
I need to E2 her. I just managed to get her potential up to the max and her trust is at 200%. It would be the first operator that would be fully maxed out for me upon E2 and then only would need to master her Skill 3.
Best pair for Mountain litterally indestructible, or stages with avengers and those big dude with axe, and her atk speed like schwing schwing but healing
Got Shining on my birthday last month with a Top Operator + Medic tag. She was exactly who I hoped to get, as I love healing/medics even though they're not "meta".
I love shield healers (I main SGE/SCH in FFXIV), so I got her to E2 immediately. As good as her S3 is, I'm infatuated with the way her S2 works - just wish the shield lasted for 5 seconds instead of 3, that way you overlay shields if they don't fully break. When it comes to her second talent, I found that it becomes really impressive when paired with Silence's global Medic ASPD talent. Generally I bring Silence and Shining everywhere together, they're great.
As for Kal'tsit...well, I already got her during Under Tides and E2'd her before that event finished. Can't wait to use her together with Ling lol - that'll be fantastic.
Hopefully, we get a Shining Alter, where she is a Guard that uses here sword again.

i've been using her on pair with warfarin for a while now and she's pretty good honestly, tho its still hard to cope with her single target mechanic, since i got used on using gavial and silence before, but overall not that bad. I'm waiting for her coral coast skin rerun.
In my opinion, Shining is an amazing operator full stop, sure there are better medics out there but she still heals and buffs well.
Her S2 is really underated as it works really well on squishy allies surviving tougher enemies.
My first 6* the one from the tutorial, has been taking care of me since the start I'm grateful for her help

She was my first 6 star and honestly she cared me hard in first stages. Like her heal is amazing!
I literally just got her. After throwing a yolo single to maybe get Mostima-. Purely cause I had extra tickets from going all out for Nalter-. She knew I was simping for that swimsuit skin-.
She is my first 6* operator. Her s3 is so crazy making almost all operator became defender. She is not a must have but if you get her its recommended to e2 her.
I got lucky early on and got Shining and Nightingale near the game’s EN launch. They were my only 6 stars for a very long time!
Very useful with Aak, love playing her S3 for Aak S3, wasn't interested in building Aak but here I am, watching my cute reaper swinging too fast
If you manage to pull her early in ur career she is amazing. Max out s3 for rly hard content and s1 if you don’t have the resources for another healer. S1 will give you actually really good healing amount (not as good as the heal only specialist, tuye and suzuran) but will be a very good investment if you want to rely on her for raw healing.
(S2 is meh only really useful against high consistent arts or pure st damage. It comes up rarely now and then but not many.)
just got her from doing a single 10 pull on the current Shining and Weedy banner I had a metric fuck ton of Orundum I've stockpiled for months so I though why the hell not. Like her design and I'm glad to know shes good especially since I have the other 6 star st medic Kal'tsit. No I just wait for Thorns in the shop with my 300 distinctions.
Yea guys the fact she used to be a sword user that mean that in the future we will get her guard version so get her level up,buy her skin and wait till HP feel like it
I got so damn lucky again. My fifth draw in the event pull is the event 6*, Eunectes.
Shining was my first ever 6 star, from 3 weeks ago, when I started. I honestly got very lucky overall, I now have 8 6*, although I did spend 20€ because RNG loves me, but still said I shouldn't get Chalter. I no joke drew Mizuki 3 times before even getting LaPluma and Chalter. Otherwise my first 10 pulls of the previous operators had Passenger, and the one before my first pull had Angelina. I also got Hellagur and Nightingale from the Chalter pulls. I consider myself lucky overall, besides the Mizuki pulls that were sadly a waste.

I've build shining since the first time I got her (pretty much on the 20 pulls Guaranteed Newbie banner). Now I'm just waiting for her Knight Alter. And I swear if her Alter's not as good as HolungDay Ch'en or Radiant Nearl.........

Just started out, got her on newbie banner and bought her summer skin. Worth the prime.
She was my first 6* and I ditched her completely once I got one of the 5* healers (which were abandoned in turn when I got Saria and Skalter). I regret not rerolling for someone else.
Just got her from recruitment and honestly. I'd rather use Warfarin than Shining. But I already have Aak. So now I can buff my low hp operator's atk speed
Remember she skilled with a sword she could be an alter in the future like chen is an alter 6 star so yes for free upgrade and mats

She was one of my first 6 stars, along with Seiba.. i mean Siege. I E2 Shining like around December last year.
I will finally give her the swimsuit I bought a year ago.
This could have been the pink Lupo but instead against all odds I get an off-banner when I already have single target healers fully built.
Her theme song is in Latin, as a long time gamer, this makes me very nervous.

I always bring her to any stage no matter what stage it is just because I love her, I really love her calm and careful personality and her voice is so beautiful💖, currently my Shining is lvl 90 M9 P2 and she's the only ops in my squad that is lvl 90 and M9, still hoping to get P6 of her though.

Just got her Summer skin. Can confirm that Shining's skin is one the prettiest out there.

Me: litterally the last operator I've got from the original batch of 6*, and it happened only a month or so ago.
I had her day 1., 7 months later i decided to E2 her for more advanced strategies with Aak. She is unique in her niche, thus a valuable addition to any team. Just not a high priority.
"Easy to get since she's in recruitment" - that is pointless to say, since recruitment is 100% RNG.
Like I got Saria within weeks of playing, but never got Shining after a whole year, had to buy her for golden certs now.
Also I never got Manticore via recruitment, and still don't have Nightmare, and these are 5* operators.
I've never seen a Top Operator tag in like 4-5 months.
Im new and I have her and Ptilopsis and they give good healing
She saved my ass so many times, that i can't ever imagine a team without her
I'm relatively new to the game (lvl 60), having picked up the Shining and Nightingale at the beginning of the game helped me a lot, the sad thing is that they are very expensive to put in elite 2 😢
Use myrtle(vanguard) as your dp printer and all will be well, i recommend to e2 her first as she will make your game easier as faster dp regen means the faster you can deploy your operator.
well shining spooke me in surtr banner in when i use one ticket headhunting and cost all my orundum to get surtr and i didnt get her,i dont regret to build shining even she spook me in surtr banner she is very beautifull tho and i
love her so much

Defense buffs are rarely needed in the game to be honest. Even skalter who has a permanent duration buff, people usually mention her atk buff and heal.
Even for Franka and Monst3r outside of Kal'tsit's range, skalter is able to boost their defense to a few hundred instead of 0, but very rarely do people mention that even, which tells you how niche defense buff is.
So shining is essentially a very niche operator, and really not worth E2ing unless you have excess resources.
Btw for aak S3 I heard Shining's S3M3 is needed for some ranged operators. Really not recommended unless you have too much excess resources to splurge.
I know frostbyte is trying to encourage the use of all operators but I feel relative comparisons are needed because Shining has one of the worst utility skills for a medic in the game.
