The Sierra fanfare activates the best memories in me. What an important part of my life they were. As a teenager I remember I said I'd clean their floors if that meant being in that company. But alas I was in the wrong hemisphere and I didn't even speak this language. Which, by the way, I learned mainly because of their games.
At least from the greats like Sierra, Lucas, and others anyways. There were a few that tried to ride off the success of the genre. Every generation has their shovelware!
I loved this game. Those Sierra point and clicks were amazing. I can't tell you how much time I spent on those Kings Quest, Space Quest, LSL series gamesin those days.
I just saw too, cam clarke is even the voice of CORRIN, that's right. Corrin from fire emblem and the super smash bros series, I was like astonishing!!!!

I played the old dos version with floppy discs. It just had midi sounds/music and text and 1 sec sound clips. I had no idea their was voices to this game. Nor did i understand the jokes at 10 yo.
Loved playing this game in the day but the only thing that let it down was the lack of a map spent an age clicking everywhere they could has at least put an arrow cursor to indicate where you can walk to progress to the next screen. Still a decent point and click game.

Especially since a sequel had been foreshadowed. Personally, in my head-canon, After he revealed his true identity, Freddy Pharkas was made into the new Sheriff of Coursegold.

(BTW, Version could add other stuff, Additional deaths, Narrator saying stuff after you die, and others!) Deaths: Take off pants, walk off edge, walk around the old Bridge too much times, shoot aces, )
Were you playing the CD version? In Win98, I think youd probably have to boot into Dos and setup up the game's sound settings to get it to work properly. Sierra's Windows games could get pretty glitchy on Win95/98

Scanned VGA images sucked and were very pixelated. FP is good example: it was drawn on papre and then scanned into VGA, but it always resulted blurry pixelated images...
Having worked on this game, I can tell you, this was one of the BEST development teams EVER! Josh Mandel and Al Lowe? They were AWESOME and still are!

Tried playing this on a win 98 in 1999- 2000 but instead of voiceover there was just a textbox.
