1:02 childe's jp va really popped off in this scene. gave his all for that one scream. it really gave the impression of his bloodlust and battle maniac tendency, but also how he sounded fed up and exhausted. love it so much

9:40 this scene just always brings me chills and tears, furina stepping out slowly realizing that her sacrifice has finally paid off and the music intenses. Oh God hoyo you did great

Thank you for sharing this version! Childe's fightscene with the Narwhal is so much more intense with KimuRyo's voice acting, and I've been searching for a clip ever since I finished the 4.2 AQ!
Furina stepping out at the end of it all, was the closest I ever came to crying because of this game.
For me it was the first time I ever cried in Genshin Impact

Man... I just want to say that I feel bad for having the slightest doubt about Neuvillette's JP voice at the start.
I rmbr when I first heard Neuvillette's JP voice, (even tho I really LOVE Kamiya's voice) I thought it didn't quite fit my impression of him, a daddy-looking judge. I was surprised Kamiya used a gentler and normal pitched tone. I was expecting a deeper and serious voice like Levi's, so I thought CN and EN sounded more fitting. But after playing thru the archon and chara quest, and watching various vids of diff dubs, I realised JP dub actually portrays Neuvillette's character the most accurately. JP voice rly brings out the fact that Neuvillette is a sensitive being who does not know how to express his emotions well while the other dubs tend to be way too expressive with emotions. Neuvillette was on a journey of self-discovering and as opposed to his cold exterior, he empathised well with others and are very kind at heart (him bringing in the Melusines and always protecting them). From talking non-stop abt water tasting to internal crying everytime smth bad happen to someone, HE'S BASICALLY A BABY rather than a daddy. And all these traits are really well expressed in the JP dub. It's like the dub is not just a voice that "fits his appearence" but rather, the character as a whole.
And same as Furina's JP voice. Inori Minase is a genius. How she uses multiple types of tone and voice for a single character and is able to accurately express each of the diff personalities is really insane.
Exactly my thoughts. I tend to prefer JP dub as a whole because they rarely actually fail with casting (although I have certainly seen it a few times), and the voice acting is just so well done. Japan has one of the most competitive voice acting industries so it's only natural they have to be good. The way they are able to portray emotions in sometimes subtle, and sometimes strong ways is something I admire and respect so much. Did you hear Neuvillettes voice shaking at 5:08 ? Like it's so subtle but the amount of emotion that one breath gives is so impressive to me.
The music where Furina and Focalor dancing scene just melts my heart. ❤😊
Furina may be a mere mortal in the body, aside the curse she has, but in the mind, she undoubtedly an archon.

Bruh English dubs don’t fit everyone as they force their voice profiles and have 0 emotions. Very unprofessional

Japanese dub always has a special heart in my heart especially half of these fontaine cast VA are my favourites. And since I'm a die-hard Attack On Titan fan and seeing my fav VA voicing these characters made me happy (Although i prefer the English dub sometimes bc Levi's voice didn't rlly suit Neuvillette LMAOO)

Levi doesn't fit neuvillete or bc you are dumb or because you stick with appearance and thinks that every man talks that deep
@@djampoucheukap1742 I have listened to the diff dubs of Neuvillette and after playing through the stories, I think JP Neuvillette rly brings out his character the most accurately. I initially was also surprised that he doesn't sound as deep in JP but now I just love his gentle and calm voice. It expresses his "difficulty in expressing emotions yet sensitive" personality so well.
archon quest keeps improving in every archon, version 4.2 is the proof that genshin cant be killed anymore yet the best game ive ever seen FOR ME🎉🎉🎉

This is only me, but as much as I like fontaine's en dub, en focalors really didn't give me an impression that she and furina are still the same entity. En focalors sounds too mature and her vibes felt too different with furina's.
But with jp dub my impression is totally changed. Jp dub allows me to picture focalors and furina as the same entity, like focalors is just furina with full memories (or consciousness) as an archon. Jp focalors still sounds as playful as furina.
Fontaine is the AQ that I did with en voice. I'll be back using jp dub when natlan comes. I hope they give lumine more lines because I want to hear Aoi Yuuki more haha.
Edit: this is by no means a slander to amber lee. She is very talented and I love her as furina! Maybe she just didn't get a right direction from the voice director. We all know en voice directions is...lack in directing, if I say so myself.

Sooo, considering fontaine is on a higher elevation that the rest of teyvat(?)... What happened during the flood? Invisible barrier keeping the water from going outside fontaine? Or did barbara in mondsadt also went swimming?
Even if Fontaine is elevated, the defeat of the whale that triggered the flood happened there. Things need a certain time to move, so I think it went like this: Whale defeated -> a lot of water is released in Fontaine -> Fontaine is flooded -> the water naturally flows to a lower place -> since Fontaine is elevated, it is no longer flooded.

It's a lot sadder when you think that her sacrifice is not really necessary. If Nahida is correct that the Heavenly Principles is currently incapacitated or asleep, then the sacrifice is unnecessary, but yes, Focalors doesn't know that the Heavenly Principles is asleep.
Even if the Heavenly principle are asleep, people of Fontaine will still dissolve to the primordial water. There's no other way than Focalor's brilliant strategy to give the authority to Neuvillette. 5:02 This scene is epic.
@@hijosalih I agree the people will still dissolve, but she doesn't need to deceive the heavenly principles, because they won't even be watching. But of course we know Focalors doesn't know that the HP is currently incapacitated, so we got the archon quest.
We also don't know if destroying the hydro throne would require the death of its current archon. Could it be possible that it could be destroyed without the archon dying? But we know that it requires a huge amount of power, the accumulation of indemnitium to destroy the throne, hence why it took 500 years to realize.
@@hikari9262I think it was still necessary. Foçalor didn't have to deceive the HP in the present but in the past. Let me explain: The way I think the prophecy works is that the person who made it could only see a few images from a particular person in a particular moment in the future without context. That's the only way they wouldn't have seen other people being alive in the water, Furina getting a vision or other things that wouldn't make sense in their interpretation of the future. In simple terms: they see a few things and those things are set in stone, they WILL happen, but the interpretation the visioner gives to those bits of info might have flaws.
Assuming they only saw the four images, then the interpretation they came up with makes sense: The people of Fontaine are judging the hydro archon (Remember, that's who the oratrice sentenced), so that girl named Furina must be the hydro archon; then Furina is all alone in the same room while everything is flooded in primordial sea water, people of Fontaine dissolve in PSW, and this reinforces the idea Furina is the hydro archon since she isn't disolving, so "all the people dissolved and only the hydro archon remained is a logical interpretation". Thats why Foçalor passed a sentence for the hydro archon and why the deception and the sacrifice was necessary: The sentence to reinforce the idea that Furina is the hydro archon, the deception so they think the humans dissolved when they were seeing a human not dissolving, and the sacrifice to save the humans from dissolving in the first place.

normally, the soundtracks in cutscenes will be released later in an album… the cutscenes are literally videos so the soundtracks themselves will not be in the game files
3:30 is a version of the Fontaine main theme, that's all I know XD so @nguyennhathuy6473 is right.
Is this a good summary of all happened in the fountain archon quest or should we watch something else

I don't want to hate on anything, really, but is it only me or the sudden appearance of Skirk kind off, made things... unsatysfying?
Like, we had this entire thing with a prophecy being set up for 3 months now, and just after we got to know the struggle to which Furina had to resort to keep the prophecy from fullfiling for 500 years, a new character appears out of seemingly nowhere and treats the entire thing like... just a tiny problem. You know, the tiny problem that was A GIANT SPACE WHALE THAT COULD ENDANGER ALL OF TEYVAT?!
Also the idea that apparently, full power of a dragon sovereign is on a LOWER scale than that of an APPRENTICE of a witch... feels just, kind of bad :/

I’m a big fan of jp voiceover all of my games are in Japanese but in this archon quest they sounded weird ish, Kamiya Hiroshi sounds emotionless and it’s like he’s just reading from a script without any emotions in his voice…I had to change my game into English Voiceover for the quest and turn it back into jp afterwards ☹️

That's how he's supposed to sound like tho... Did you read the quest? Also, you should have chosen KR or CN if you didn't like JP for this quest. I don't know if you read the quest, but I'm certain the EN team didn't, the amount of mistranslation and mischaracterization there is in the EN translation and voiceover for Fontaine quests in particular can only be explained that way

neuvilette has mentioned multiple times that he isn't great at expressing emotions and is learning the way of humans, so i guess that's why he sounds a bit more emotionless in his speech. I think the JP voice fits his character perfectly
