Models are placed in .HOG archives which stored in Game root\HOG\levelname.HOG, inside those files, models stored in .HMD format. SF2-3 has a folder named MPLAYER - there is a models files in .HOG. You can download recreated Gabe Logan model here: syphonfilter.3dn.ru/publ/other/interestnoe_raznoe/gejb_logan_iz_pervoj_chasti_syphon_filter/19-1-0-59
.HMD and .TMD inside levelname.FOG files, you can check it via WinHex, open any levelname.FOG file and type .HMD in search. In Hex Editor every .HMD has name - exapmle - GABE.HMD, MARA.HMD - these a char 3d models.

In sf1 I don't see any.hmd files, I only see.emd files, but there are a lot of them. Is there any trick to know which is the good one?

And changing the name gabe already works? I just wanted to change the files manually, but there's no decompressor to unpack those files.
