      4 million isn't really that much for a high end sports yacht. Go check out the Aquaholic channel, and you will find several similar yachts at 5-10 million range.

      Boat shown in the video is Pershing/Viking size, so a sport yacht. There is no defined number between what is and what isn’t, but a super yacht sweet spot is within that 40-50m, and is the most popular segment in yachts. A Conrad 133 is a perfectly sized and designed super yacht

    • @JamesTheCaptain
      @JamesTheCaptain 4 ปีที่แล้ว +5

      @@tlamy121 Yacht then Mega Yacht then Super yacht. People calling 80ft boats "Super yachts" is just a new fad. But hey to each their own. But generally captains refer to boats over 280' to 300' super yachts. And then say 180' to 280' is a mega yacht. And then just under 180' is a yacht. Calling an 80' yacht a super yacht because it's fast or looks cool is just not correct. But to each their own....👍

    Nice Video. So a yacht becomes a super yacht when the water line length is greater than 24 metres. Super Yacht is 24m - 3000GT then a MegaYacht is 3000GT-10,000GT and a GigaYacht is 10,000GT+

    I love your videos, Jeff, especially the time-lapse parts. I often wish my father could have seen them. He was in the U.S. Merchant Marine as a young man (like 18-19 years old) in 1945-46 or 47 on a T-2 tanker. I know that he always wanted to have the opportunity to get back to sea, but never quite managed it before cancer took him in 2001. Later I joined a British ship and the tour of duty was 3 months on/1.5 month off. Captain was 3 months on/3 months off. I stayed there for 3.5 months and I got extra compensation for the additional 0.5 month of stay. Then I worked on an oil tanker flying Liberian flag, and basically you can work there as long as you want to but most people spent 9 months or less there.

    Love watching the night skies on your travels....best of luck with the health scare going on at the moment....just keep making sure you wash hands thoroughly and don’t touch mouth, eyes of nose...wash hands thoroughly......

    Nice video. These ships provide world wide link for products. Truly amazing, just like trucking and truck drivers in every country world wide. Ships, trucks, trains and airplanes connect the world.

    Always beautiful footage! Very interested in the corona procedures. Also interested in day-to-day activities on a ship, and when you're in port, if you're allowed to show/discuss. It's a different world that's very interesting!

    Ive done that dive work before. They actually have a few purpose built ships for moving yachts. They are semisubmersible and pretty cool.

    Great video! I have watched a lot of your videos, not all, and they are excellent. If I could request one thing, I'd love to see a video focused on or featuring the job the tugboats do for you when you get into and out of the ports. If you could. Thanks for sharing!!
