Would love to see a tiered driver bracket this year- a bomber bracket (110+ mph), an everyday player bracket(100-105mph), and the slower speed/draw bracket(90-95 mph).
Interesting comments on Aerojet not being up to the standard of LTDx. The testing results across the board didn’t reflect that at all. Even TXG/CC videos it was clear that Aerojet was among the top 2-3 drivers last year for ball speed, and narrowly lost to TSR3 in the bracket.
Yeah to my mind if you could deliver a club consistently that would have been option two. Eric Compton plays one by choice, and that dude has the best taste on Tour (plays Vega irons 🤌)
Great video well done lads but I have to say the Cobra Aerojet LS is an absolute beast of a driver on of the longest I've ever bit and surprisingly forgiving.... All that's said I still prefer Titleist TSR to everything out there,
from a side profile the LS has the aero shape of the standard Callaway Mavrik. Pretty cool. My only cobra driver was the F9, awesome driver got some of my longest drives ever.
Same, that F9 gave me some of the longest drives I’ve hit. Currently have the sim 2, but seeing the shape of Cobra LS and the numbers it was producing for Ian, currently requesting an increase on my credit line.
Great content boys, having watched all the new driver vids the one company that is to me coming out on top, is a company that hasn’t released one…… Titleist! TSR still showing how good it still is.
Interesting to me how all the reviews I've watched so far are a bit different, everyone pointing out unique things. Just shows the importance of trying for yourself and not going purely off reviews.
I love the approach to new driver reviews, the level of data shared and more importantly the honest feedback. i do however have 1 suggestion; As much as i love Ians perfect elegant golf swing achieving 300yards effortlessly on the fly his feedback would be perfect for the LS drivers, however in the real world Mikey would be the target market and a more realistic swing to test the more forgiving drivers and get a better understanding of whether the manufacturers claims are realistic, the ping 10k, qi10 max , darkspeed max etc. Please hand these reigns over to Mikey rather than you attempting to reduce the speed on your perfect swing. Thanks again for the wonderful content.
All I know from Aerojet is that the crown with the corner of the shaft adapter so huge it already pushed me off the model. This is a great visual update!
Great review! Cobra have done a good job ! I am hoping that you could do a bracket with the most forgiving models, standard and the LS models. That would help alot of people looking for different types of driver. And run a final in the end with all three models to show the difference !
I’m gonna drive 3 hrs to my nearest club champion this year for a full bag fitting. Excited to try all these new drivers! I think the Qi10 has my eye the most, especially that designer blacked out series
Still got my ltdx ls and totally agree I tried the aerojet and it just didn't come close. At end of the year had a wrist injury and switched to a paradym for some extra forgiveness. If these are this forgiving I Def wanna give em a try
Bought the X model, may get another heavier slightly stiffer shaft 2 make it a little more stable? However, even with the light low spinning (white) shaft , this maybe the straightest driver I have ever hit? ( Had 2 put the 12g in the back position) I ordered a weight kit to try 2 Max out the numbers?
I think a Darkspeed X will be in my future next year once the new model comes out and these go on sale. I LOVE my LTDx but these just look so damn good…
Is me or does the height of the “tee” keep changing when he hits the MAX. He hit the yellow a bunch the he switch to the blue and the hit it well. Didn’t mention he changed tee height
Dang cobra might get my money this year. Had the F9 when that was beast, game a sim 2 now which I never plan to marry. The cobra LS and it’s head shape, we in trouble with this one
I'm a little fuzzy about this review compared to the latest Ping g430 10K... I sensed you both were not bullish on the Ping and it seems you really talked up this latest offering from Cobra. But if I remember correctly, the ping was longer and straighter than the Cobra. Am I wrong?
If you add dynamic loft at impact that will increase your spin. So you may need to be fitted into the LS just based off of that alone and of course, if you swing over the top, then all bets are off anyway
@@ianfrasergolf - I was actually gonna to post the question, I didn't hear (maybe I missed it) if you were hitting the 8 or 9* head & if it was the 8 maybe that's why it looked a little odd. Now that I know it was the 9 makes looking at the 8 even more intriguing
So, just got done hitting the 8° in the 9° LS. The 8° is definitely faster by about half a mile per hour. And looks like it’s missing more out of the back heel of the driver. Will be going with the nine°.
In my experience with Cobra F9, the stock weights were a bit too light for my swing. I added heavier weights to the sole, and my strike consistency improved. My clubhead speed went down, but my consistency improved. I suspect it would be the same with this X model. Add more weight, don't just move the weights.
I really thought LTDx LS was the best/longest driver I’ve ever played. Out of the direct center it was and maybe still is, but TSR is so good across the entire face. And feels superb.
@seminolekilla no. I've played the last 2 cobras as I was fitted into them. Just not w fan of the brand. The clubs work. Just wish they would improve the brand.
Brand is a bit abstract-what do you mean when you say improve the brand? Like you said the clubs were good, so what would they do to improve the brand? Get more pros to hit it? Get a sick commercial of Gary Woodland going bonkers on the range? Two page ads in Golf Digest?
How is the durability? I've only had a RAD XB, and the carbon crown popped off, and I've seen a few others have had this, they perform, don't get me wrong.
Do you keep your clubs in the garage or your trunk a lot? I’ve had XB for a while and it’s just fine, but my clubs live inside because that’s where clubs belong
I have very mixed reactions to testing Cobra drivers. Quality wise they are far more variable than the main brands: F8, F9, LtdX fantastic, Rad and Aerojet did not do it for me but I have always struggled with too much spin when I have tried gaming a Cobra driver (almost certainly my fault). Whereas with Ping, Titleist for example you know every year the driver will be up there with the best. But this year they have produced a beautiful looking driver, best of the releases so far and the head cover is just as good looking. Performance though, based on watching several reviews from people I trust, seems a bit mixed. The LS is the surprise, definitely the best of the 3 but overall I am not seeing anything from Cobra that beats the Paradym Smoke (and I hate the look of that driver). What might save Cobra is if fitting, especially if there is a weight kit with different weights to try, unlocks potential more so than other brands. So once release season is over and Ian & Mikey have a touch more time it would be fun to see what happens if you do a fitting for these
Please do some of the reviews with someone who swings the clubs at an average golfers speed. All of you, YOU TUBE guys swing at 110 plus, and that's not all of your audience. Have an average golfer 12 handicap and maybe hit these max and bottom end of the range, someone with 90 to 100 mph swing speed. Please and thank you....
IT LOOKS INCREDIBLE, Just imagine if they made the LS model in a 430 CC head, they would not be able to make them fast enough. Great review as usual !! 🏌🏌🏌
Would love to see a tiered driver bracket this year- a bomber bracket (110+ mph), an everyday player bracket(100-105mph), and the slower speed/draw bracket(90-95 mph).
most aesthetically pleasing driver of '24!
That screens been hammered!!
Cobra crushing it, as always!

Great review, and the first 'x' version shows genuine forgiveness that others promise, but often fail to provide.
never regret having LS version.. fully satisfied..
Ian crushed the LS. I got fitted and the Cobra AeroJet LS worked best for my swing last year. I love the driver. The new LS looks really good also
Top banter on this
Great video well done lads but I have to say the Cobra Aerojet LS is an absolute beast of a driver on of the longest I've ever bit and surprisingly forgiving.... All that's said I still prefer Titleist TSR to everything out there,
I will test the LS model. I'm curious because I've seen mixed reviews (mainly about shape).
That was some crazy forgiveness all around - great review guys.
The banter cracks me up haha. Great review fellas

@@beammeupscottsp7952 I was custom fit late last year for TSR3. It's staying in my bag for at least 4-5 years or longer.
We need more mid handicapper reviewing these clubs. Make it more relatable.
Ian really sending that ball out of province with the LS.
Goodbye RadSpeed hello Darkspeed ! Love it

Could this driver take place in Ians bag this year🤔👍
Mike calling Ian weird made me laugh out loud!
HOW FAR ABOVE SEA LEVEL DO YOU HAVE THE FORESIGHT SET AT??????

LS on order 💪
This is the review I was waiting for.
The hovering of the LS reminds me of a past Callaway driver before rogue came out

Mavrik standard had a similar shape. Especially the floating back.
Play around with weights and shaft in the LS, will be interesting to see it fitted.
We’ll do a deeper dive later in the year.
What does X look like with the weights flipped?
what swing speed are we thinking for the LS?

Off topic question, I have a GC3. My driving range is not the same as yours. Does your Quad come with different range backgrounds?
Nice work Ian after testing out so many driver on a single day. That said, I really like the "dark" look of the Cobra. In addition, very well priced.

Ian, what number tee do you use normally indoors it looks like it's a 6 or 7 but I can't tell for sure?
5 or 6
Best looking driver ever
Looks are so subjective, glad you like it.
@ianfrasergolf Yes, I totally agree. I think this cobra will be there best selling driver to date
I think a Darkspeed X will be in my future next year once the new model comes out and these go on sale. I LOVE my LTDx but these just look so damn good…
11:38 awesome comparison XD
When are the fairways coming?
Why is the dynamic lie so different on the Max vs the others? Is the club more upright?
I DEMAND a mikey bracket this year let’s see what these things can do with his speed

8 deg version has a different looks they say. Is that a version you guys will test?
Does it look like a modified Callaway Maverick?

Man the LS goes a country mile. If only I had the cash to get fitted right now
LTDx LS also goes a country mile for half the price…. no fitting though I guess
Have Any of these new drivers made you want to take the tsr3 out of the bag ?
Nice. I wanna see the black ops pxg driver!
Ian, can you imagine seeing a claidheamh mor
…Great Sword ?
The "raised skirt" of the LS brings Maverick vibes
Way to many letters for the average Callaway consumer to comprehend. I believe it was called the MVRiK
@@blakebarone1809 Lol I'm just now realizing they dropped the "E" and the "C" 🤣
The Aero LS also had a raised rear skirt. They just took it even further
So what is the winner so far, Callaway or Cobra?
how fast should my swing speed be for me to consider using a LS head
Speed is only one component, I’d want to see your strike consistency, face to path relationship etc.
If you add dynamic loft at impact that will increase your spin. So you may need to be fitted into the LS just based off of that alone and of course, if you swing over the top, then all bets are off anyway

Looks like the Burner Tour from TM in 2009
the only driver family youve hit the ls model the best...
