It's more that the round for them is insane. I've not seen a LOT of tenor literature, but when reading the music for RCC 2009 it still holds as the hardest by a good margin in my experience.
I figure even with tenor drums, singles tend to have most intensity and amazing show. Scraping is pretty fun too, but to keep up with singles at that tempo for so long is really amazing when synchronized perfectly.
Who said anything about disliking it? I said I stopped enjoying it. I'll always like it, I'm just not going to drive 6 hours just to see a show in another state like I used to. You know how it is, at a certain point in your life you are fanatical about something, then you just become a regular fan, then new interests arrive and you don't "dislike" something, but it just doesn't grab you like it used to.
prolly a tie between rcc's and rhythm x.. but x's was more rhythmically complex, but the speed and use of rcc's drums in their break was just insane. plus the centers drum 3 head broke and it was still piss clean... mad chops there. but then again, x had a blind guy. you cant choose
I just love it when the tenor solo isn't covered up by the front ensemble.

@jsk8drummer RCC which stands for River Side Community College
Glad I'm a brass player.....I have no shot at ever getting that good at tenors.
Landonb1994 you can get good at anything if you practice and work hard
Noob I am that good. I’m sorry that was kinda mean. I love tenors though and that’s why I play them.
I just realized that Jeremy Somers has a busted drum 3 head at around 5:20... rock on dude.
those singles at the end. so many shivers
the tall tenor player at 2:17 has a brilliant mustache
Thanks for the upload ! Long live the Fox. :)

@xxiTzBLACKxx Are you referring to the girl from Pulse? I'm marching with her at The Academy this summer. Amazing tenor drummer.
And to make you feel worse, that dude at the end wearing sunglasses is legally blind.

0:42 was fonky man, good stuff.
@drumboy1313 blue knights. Their 2009 program was "Metaforest"
i dont know why but that clip in infinity's show " Come back to bed america, your government is in control" just makes the break 10 times more bad ass
two years and no dislikes! it better stay that way
5:21 best by far
I definitely agree with you.
arrangers sure loved rim shots back then.
I like that tenor feature at 0:00-8:43

Whats the last line from 7:46 on cause the writer is just genius and i liked how they used the cymbal girls from 8:00-8:07. nicceee
The break at 7:22 has some sick writting and sounds even sicker with the pit. It's not all that clean, but still cool.
yeah you should do a snare compilation vid
wich one do you like the most? ithink you started with the cleanest one
