Hi Capt... Thank you for the compliment, and great to hear from you! I'm looking forward to your follow-up video (Part 2) of your recent trip to the Bahamas!

That’s a super nice shop and all set up you have there. Is that the 1000 or 700 Lewmar? I’m going to add one this winter and like how they mount on the pulpit. I’ve heard some things about the 700 series and thought about getting 1000 as not much different in $. Tks.

Hi AKA, Thank you for the compliment; it's much appreciated! This windlass is the Lewmar ProFish 700. (It can easily switch between 'free-fall' and power-down). I always use power-down for our shallow waters. The 700 is adequate for this size boat, but I agree with you about going with the 1000; I'd do the same. Like with anchors, rode and chain; I've always gone by, bigger-is-better... The largest your boat will accommodate, and largest you can handle. The 1000 would do great on Cat's Cradle! ☺

Hi Larry, thank you for watching and for the compliments!.... We are in the Pungo Creek area about 3 miles south of Belhaven, NC. Pungo Creek runs into the Pungo River, and the Pungo River joins the Pamlico Sound about 9 miles down-river... We love where we are, except when a hurricane hits! ☺

Hello, I have a Parker similar as yours, What do you have at the hole of the anchor locker door? I have recently been thinking what I could put there to block off water from coming into the boat

Hi gpulido, thank you for watching! I've sealed the hole by first using removable 'rope-caulk' under the hatch around the hole opening. (the rope caulk is non-permanent, and is easily replaced when I occasionally open the hatch to clean under the hatch). Then I attached a 'flap' of marine-quality white vinyl rubber over the hole. This keeps the water from entering the anchor-rode locker from that hatch hole. Some water still gets in from the hole under the windlass where the chain and anchor line feeds into the anchor-rode locker. The canvas cover is 90% better than it was without the cover, but some water still gets in there..... I'd love to see some video of your Parker; let me know if you post any on your TH-cam channel.
