Great episode. I particularly enjoyed the message of focusing “on what you learn not what you earn”. As someone who just left a multiple six figure corporate job to peruse an entrepreneurial lifestyle, I can honestly say that this lesson is invaluable and something I wish I learned much earlier in life. I love that Mikey Taylor has made it to the biggerpockets podcast. I've been following biggerpockets since 2016 but I new about Mikey Taylor WAY before that. It's cool to see other skateboarders in real estate. Mikey Taylor is the man!

Has anyone confirmed that the bigger pocket people are telling the truth...has an independent accounting firm verified their numbers?
That's why there's no QUICK way to make money in real estate. Who can afford to carry a mortgage? There is too much at stake.
What has always bothered me about BB is the people they interview a majority of them come from money. They did not start from zero. They could afford to take the risks because if they lost it was not the difference between just having to start over and being on the street.
@@redtiger7268They’ve had more of the latter than the former. Or at least nearly 50/50..
Most of our friends who have been on BP came from nothing. (Cody and I included) . That said, BP is more about moving forward with the pieces you have, I hope my kids start with money and they do something amazing with it. I am glad they interview people from all parts of the financial spectrum.
Buy deals low to no money down that cashflow. Literally everyone can afford $0 down and a mortgage that is paid by your tenants!
@@Multifamilystrategy I have worked in the real estate sector for near 25 years now. I can count on one hand the number of times I seen a loan approved with ZERO down. Even if you did this somehow you would still need a hefty income on your own to justify the mortgage. Sure the tenants might be able to cover 100% but you need the outside income incase they fall through. I saw many many units foreclosed on from 07-2010 that were trying to use the tenants to pa the full mortgage.

No dig at the guests, to each their own. But the “influencer” aesthetic comes off as untrustworthy.
Trying to get good information where I can find it, so I’ll still tune in 😅 but, I hope it doesn’t become a trend with BP, as they’re one of the last platforms that seemed “pure”.
