- Prime Minster Justin Trudeau posted a video on X telling Canadians who have filed their taxes to check their bank account for the Canada Carbon Rebate. Sun political columnist Brian Lilley talks how the message backfired after Conservative leader Pierre Poilievre posted his own video as a response.

The rebate doesn't do anything for me. I have to drive to get my mail, my groceries, and a 40minute drive to my doctor's office. Anything I need I have to use my car.

@@mysparky2011 Yes, international students in Canada can qualify for the carbon tax rebate and other rebates like GST rebate. They just need to file a Canadian income tax return for the year in which they are claiming the rebate. Since all of them are working part time and file their returns (they get their 100% income tax refunded due to low income bracket & tuition credits, and bonus is all these Canadian tax payers funded rebates on top of that tax refund)

I went to the grocery store today and I noticed the prices of gone up yet again. I don't check my bank account, I look at my pay stubb and realize that my gross pay isn't going up, but my net pay is going down. Justin, call an election, period.
