My favorite dog movies from this list: Marley & Me-This movie made me cry buckets the first time I watched it and still does. A Dog's Purpose-Just cries My Dog Skip-Can relate to this story so much Eight Below- Cries and cheers at the ending Hachi: A Dog's Tale- Heartbreaking but what a tale of complete & utter love plus loyalty. Not from this list: Homeward Bound Lassie Rin-Tin-Tin White Fang(technically not really a dog but stil....) Beethoven The Adventures of Yellow Dog Benji Call of the Wild & Balto Honorable Mention to: Old Yeller. I could only watch that movie ONCE but it's a classic no doubt.
Hachi is certainly amazing, and I will plan on watching Marley and Me and A Dog's Purpose, but The Art of Racing in the Rain should be in there. It's amazing. No one knows what curves life might throw at you, but the driver has the curse to create his own conditions, and the rain is simply the rain. -Enzo, one of the best and smartest dog
Love how the last 3 were based on true stories. I'm in tears now after Hachi 😭😭😭😭 In 8 Below, the true events were that 15 dogs were left tied up. Seven of the dogs died, still chained up. Unexpectedly, the other dogs had been able to break free and leave the base. The team stumbled upon the dogs Taro and Jiro not for from the research station. They were brothers and the youngest members of the husky pack at three years of age. Somehow the pair had survived the harsh Antarctic environment for 11 months. They hadn’t even resorted to cannibalism, leaving the bodies of their pack mates untouched and unspoiled. To this day it's speculated that they learned to hunt and managed to catch penguins or seals. The true story of Togo should have been here (I know this video came out before Togo did). All the most unbelievable parts were true, from crashing through a window chasing after his owner to pulling the sled across the freezing water when the ice broke. 💕
I've seen "A Dog's tale" & "Eight Below". Those are great movies knowing that both are inspired by true stories. You should also see "A Dog's way home".
My favorites are 1. Togo 2. Marley and me 3. a dog's purpose 4) Hachi 5) eight below 6) art of racing in the rain 7) a dog's journey 8) Max 9) snow dogs 10) a dog’s way home
I was about 4 years old..... Watching some tv. My show went off, I scrolled through, hit this movie called eight below. Saw a dog, saw paul walker. recognized him, Didnt know who he was tho. (I was 4) And finsihed the last half of the movie. Remembered the name. Found it coming on the next day, and set the recording, blah blah blah. We know where it went from there. Still one of my favorite movies of all time. Also one of my first good childhood movies.
My best friend was an American Akita, my very own hachi. Nothing haunts me more than not being there when it was his time to go. I was somewhere else and he had been waiting for me by the door and he ended up passing away there because I didn’t get back early enough. I wonder if he would still be alive if I had not left that day. He was my best friend from 12-23 I just wish we see each other again so that I can apologise
I just loved call of the wild n tego. I dont like sad endings esp dog movies coz i love them so much. ♥️♥️♥️ Someday i will get my puppy n i will be his best friend forever.
I still have my best friend Rex, hes with me still :) he's only 7..I dearly miss him & hoping to see him on thursday, I've waited a month & Hope I can see him again
Very good choices because none of them were ridiculous like Beverly Hills Chihuahua. OTOH it would have been nice to see one of the older ones, like Where the Red Fern Grows. But all in all good list and great #1 pick.
Hachi was the best....but I suffered so much....it was so painfull that I was feeling in depression for a few days. Too hard for me..Im not sure if I will be able to watch it again. You re missing BINGO, it was a really good movie!
