    great info, thanks. Preparing to go 2021. And I am already fuming about the cooking rules like you. Especially with covid.

      When are you going this summer. I think we are around a 617 or 618 this year.
      At least you can pretty much ignore the PSR prescribed cooking method once you lose your Ranger.

      Yeah. I'm one of the more vocal folks about how insane the PSR cooking method is.

    Good video! I will be there as a lead advisor this June. Crew 617-DD, Troop 13 and 1013 out of Cental, Louisiana. That’s right, we decided to up our challenge and do this thing co-ed. Am I nuts? Maybe we’ll see you out there!

      I'm on 618-A1 doing trek 16 this summer and should arrive a day early to help acclimate. That means we might actually be able to can cross paths in base camp or on the trail!

    How did you get your sponsors did you just email them

    • @GearreportdotCom
      @GearreportdotCom  4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Not really. At that point I had been reviewing outdoor gear for about 8 years and already had relationships with many of the companies.
      EVERYONE and their brother asks brands for "free" gear. The brands prefer to work with proven, professional reviewers that have a proven track record.

    For mounting a GoPro or camera to your shoulder strap, the Peak Design Clip and POV kit is hands down the best. www.peakdesign.com/products/pov-kit

      @@samwilliams874 Not sure where you saw that, but most of our last crew (the ones you see in the video) had Crocs as camp shoes. You can see the crocs hanging off of their packs. :)
      Are you mixing up that they won't let you HIKE in Crocs? That is true. But you absolutely CAN use them as camp shoes.

      Yep. Would be great to catch up at the ranch. Biggest suggestion is commit to lightening your load... Pack, gear, shoes, clothing... Your body. The older we get, the harder it is to carry the weight.

      If you have arthritis related knee pain, ABSOLUTELY!
      My Orthopedist suggested it to me after my first knee surgery in the late 90s. I was skeptical, but have found that if I stop taking it for more than a few days, then my knees hurt a lot.
