Spoiler alert: In the 26th chapter of Inuyasha Kanketsu-hen (The Final Act) Kagome was forced to enter into a meido. Kagome's mind enters into an alternative world in which she can't remember Inuyasha, the Bone-Eater's Well didn't open and she dreams of she in the middle of the forest. Mean while in the Feudal Era, Inuyasha didn't figure it out right away how he would be able to reach Kagome, so he went to see Totosai. Kagome, in the alternative world, feels like she should remember something. One day at class, she has a blurred image of Inuyasha, and so she runs to the well, but nothing happened. She tries to ask people but nobody remembers that "character". Suddenly she has an image of her and Inuyasha, still she can't remember the face of Inuyasha, neither all the memories of the Feudal Era. On the Feudal Era, in the middle of a storm, Inuyasha's figures out how to reach her, so he runs to the place where she disappeared. Kagome's close to the Sacred Tree finally remembers Inuyasha and all the memories of them. The rest of the images are similar to the 26th episode, when they find each other the memories are reflected on the background and with the kiss they are able to unlock the Bone-Eater's Well. Rewatching the entire series now since SAO is on break and just got to final act, I had never seen final act before, holy shit this takes Inuyasha to the next level, modern anime. I absolutely LOVE how the final Inuyasha opening contains the lyrics „fukai mori“ (ending 2), „shinjitsu no uta“ (ending 5) and „owaranai yume“ (opening 3). Also, the lyrics „meguri meguru“ remind me of the chorus of Every Heart (ending 4).
I wonder if the opening and/or ending of the sequel will do something similar.

Still here in 2021!! I've loved this since I was tiny (around 3 maybe, now 16). Yashahime is announced to have a season 2 and I cant wait cuz Inuyasha and Kagome are to have more screen time from what is seen in the trailer!! :)

Inuyasha has been the only anime I've seen so far that blends shonen and shojo genre successfully. I know it's published as shonen but the romance is legitimate, the development is natural, and the chemistry is spot on.
The action is tight and even though there are a lot of deus ex machinas Inuyasha had a fair share of failings too. The romance in my opinion is what sets Inuyasha apart from other shonen because the fluffs are delivered through short skits which made fillers minimal. Every moment is earned by Kagome and Inuyasha and doesn't feel shoehorned. Both Sesshomaru and Kikyo were a well written rival for Inuyasha and Kagome respectively that's constantly straddling the "I wish the prick would just go away" and "I wish they can reconcile".

Just finished Inuyasha final act finally and I’m over here in tears, felt like my childhood left with that, still my favourite anime. seeing Inuyasha happy with Kagome wearing the same type of clothes as Kikyō, was symbolic and beautiful, Sesshomaru bringing Rin clothes and everyone just happy, finally, peace. I know people want another season, but I feel like it was left at the perfect ending

I love all the inuyasha song!!😍😍😍 I don't know why even I don't understand the lyrics. Maybe because inuyasha is the first anime l watch when I kids..
I watched inuyasha when I 4/5 years old and 7 years later, I rewatched again. And next year I will watch it again...
