    Nice setup Jeff! I've just started collecting wood. Can't wait to buck and split! Thanks!

      I like every aspect of firewood, from scouting for trees to fell to delivering it to customers. It’s so different from my mechanic career I’ve had for 35 years! Refreshingly easy on the mind! Thanks for watching. All the best Jeff

    Hey Jeff I have to say that is a pretty neat setup using the Split Fire to run the processor and itself.

      No sense in re-inventing the wheel! the 3255 has a pretty decent sized pump, I figure I should take advantage of it. Thanks for watching! :)

    Nice looking log deck. See if you can find some roller conveyors for your rounds to go to the splitter table. They only need a slight angle down to roll easy. Saves bending over to pick up heavy rounds.

      Another piece of the puzzle will be a way to keep from bending over to pick the rounds up. I keep looking on the locals by and sell ads for some inspiring equipment that I can repurpose for that job. Thanks for watching! All the best, Jeff

    How's she goin'? That's a pretty neat set up Jeff. All powered from the splitter too, that's a big plus I would think. Great camera work too BTW!!! Thanks for sharing!!!

      Thanks Mike! My splitter operator doubles as a camera operator! She’s way more patient than I am! What would we do without our partners!
      Thanks for watching! All the best, Jeff and Leslie.

    Hi Jeff, I see they have the live deck and infeed table for around $2100. Thats a very decent price I think.

      It’s not a bad machine either.

    any way to get a quick video or photo on how the chainsaw pivot is set up and chainsaw attached?

      I’d have to reassemble it all- maybe I can find the pieces and have a show and tell video one day of the evolution of my firewood business… it worked great- but at the 50 full cords a year I needed to be a little more productive- and another upgrade at the 300 cord mark…

    Instead of a "powered conveyor" system between the saw and splitter, maybe gravity slide. An old truck bed liner between the two and the splitter downhill a foot should do it

    Im looking to build something like this but with a spliter at the bottom , How do you find the Range road table is it sturdy enough to load up with say 2 tonnes ?

    • @thelogfather5002
      @thelogfather5002  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      It’s plenty sturdy, not sure about 2 tones though. I put about 2/3 of a cord on it at a time and the larger logs, say bigger than 14” I put on the ground beside the table, usually about 4 logs. All together it makes about a cord of cut and split wood. By myself it takes about 2 hours maybe a little longer with a helper, about an hour and half. There just isn’t room for 2 tones of wood, in my opinion anyway.... Thanks for watching, all the best and have a blessed Easter!

      I’ve got another wood splitter, it’s a split fire 3 point hitch mounted unit, I was thinking about do the same as you are thinking about, but the wood I cut and split is of such various sizes and most has to be split more than once, I wonder if it’ll be more work than it’s worth. Right now, I cut for 10-15 minutes and then split for 15-20 minutes. That’s only if I’m working alone. Ideally, I’d have 2 helpers, I’d be cutting, and 2 would be splitting. I bet we could process a cord in way under an hour! My wife and son are both willing but to get everyone assembled on the same day to make wood is hard! Lol
