I feel like that would still be true to the spirit of Isaac but still make things easier for seasoned players

Easy to say as a spectator, but when you did the devil deal with cupon, using cupon without taking anything would have given you a 50% chance to get either Guppys tail or Contract rather than the 33% chance after taking the tail xD In any case, another good monday evening with Sinvicta :)

Happy Monday Moshpit! Looks like we get to unwind with a good one, so let’s jump in & rate this Start Mr. Mega is rock solid. Okay stats except for shot speed, we could mail those tears & they’d be faster. Berserk is not the worst active, but I find it wonky to use. Floor 1 Curse Room drops some cards, one popping a Trapdoor for a HP up. Small Rock is a tough call- we need damage & tears but is it worth the speed? Not really, but with 4 HP it’s worth holding out for IMO- Sin appears to agree. Bumping to 4.5 damage & 2.7 tears is good. With better shot speed it would be better defensively. Popping Berserk to clear rooms & boop the boss works out. Item Room has Quints- never bad. Bombing the Shop gets us the Coupon, bye Berserk, & the Treasure Map. Floor 2 Curse of the Blind. Of course. No keys means no doors, but Curse of the Blind means we don’t care. We finally get one right before the boss, so hopefully that’s useful next floor. Quints rips double red Monstro apart thanks to some Mulligans. We get the Box- resources are never bad. Taking a blind Devil deal thanks to the coupon gets us Lil Brimmy, stepping on a spike, & then we pay a heart for Guppy’s Head. Not bad. Floor 3 Item Room has Bobby bombs, probably the worst bomb item in Isaac, so we leave it. Reroll the shop for Piggy Bank. The Fallen drops False PhD, we pass- we can’t stomach stat downs. No Devil deal Floor 4 Item Room has Candy Heart- very solid here. A Blood Dono machine turns into a stat factory. Boss loses its Marbles, no good trinkets- but the Gulp effect is nice. This Devil deal is excellent: Guppy’s Tail & Contract From Below- we’ve seen that go gangbusters in the past. Coupon picks Cambion Conception, of course, but it’s not like that’s a bad item. Floor 5 Trap room takes us to Stanley- oof, wish coupon was charged. Taking Goat Head secure re-entry & heading back to the room gets Guppy’s Collar! I repeat WE HAVE GUPPY, the curse is broken! This run just opened up. We have no red hearts atm, so Candy Heart is offline, but Guppy tho. Planetarium spawn Mercurius, speed woes are sorted. Shop has Black Candle, woot. The Library will secure Book of Rev for hearts, but also Bookworm for a bit more dps. Eternal heart from Super Secret Room is excellent. Tower Card+Mr Mega just destroys Sisters Vis, Stye is whatever. Back to Stan for our free Incubus. Getting Conjoined off Incubus feels like the best way to do it since he also fires the 3 shots. Floor 6 Beeline to Mom for Boss rush, taking the Polaroid. Devil deal is meh, I don’t hate Ocular rift like Sin does- but even I wouldn’t take it with conjoined. Infamy is the take from Boss Rush & we Fool out. We roll into the arcade, play the blood dono machine & the beggar- no HP but I doubt we’ll complain about blue map. Floor 7 Beeline to the boss- Jesus Juice is never bad. Krampus fight- wheeee. Coal is still fine. 5 Room- redo the floor? Yes please. Cursed Penny- dis gon b gud. Floor 7, Again Oh wait, we have Black Candle & that is a curse effect. I did not know that, bummer. A Womb Room taunts our lack of ability to yeet red hearts away. Glass Eye from Scolex is damage. Stanley says Abbadon? We say Yes. Candy Heart, we appreciate the .14 damage you gave us. Floor 8 Guppy’s Tail paying dividends- Mom’s Ring for more damage. Squeezy from a stone chest for some tears, finally. Beggars seem averse to food today, we get Lil Chest. Devil deal is too pricey. Cathedral Zoop to Isaac, who gets clapped handily. Chest Sac dagger is the major take- zip to Blue Baby & secure the win. Final Verdict: 6/10. No one POG item, but the Guppy transformation early on more than makes up for it.
i honestly prefer treasure map over the compass purely because of the times where the compass shows the boss room in one direction but turns out you have to go a different way and loop around
Aight, I knew about Conjoined's damage down and didn't think it was a big deal; however, since WHEN does it give a tears down?!? That makes Conjoined so much worse unless you have homing!
Sin just no hit blue baby with sac dagger... (I been watching Sin for about 5-6 years now. That's lowkey rare for Sin to do, most of the time he'll get hit atleast once, maybe twice... maybe) but a no hit on a "decent" run is a good sight to see. GGz good run Sin.
Hate to be a nerd but int the devil deal with guppies tail and CFB it would have been better probability wise to use the coupon before taking one, giving you a 50% chance to hit something you wanted rather than taking one and then having a 33% chance. Unless I'm missing slmething
To be fair, the one episode when you needed a Quarter and you used your last bomb on a set of pots to try and get it, and called that it was in there, that has to be your luckiest run.

Hello moshpit! I would like to give a small yet fun update to my dead god progress! I have finished the unlocks for Tainted Samson besides greedier mode BUT the fun part was I was luckily able to do it ALL IN ONE RUN! I ended up having such a lucky run with getting good items off rip and getting boss rush AND hush done and then pulled an R key after going to the dark room. I then proceeded to get schoolbag and spindown dice and had habit, dark bum, old bandage, and gimpy with pyromaniac and curse of the tower so I was able to rig my run to get a bunch of r keys (though it took a LOT of time) and did every single final boss including getting lucky enough to get delirium after mega satan! So safe to say I got my first ever omega run doing unlocks AND all without a victory lap!!!

i think it was a slight misplay to use the coupon on the 33% chance and not the 50% chance. since your walking out with contract and guppy's tail no matter what you started with a 50/50 and lowered your success rate to 33%

They do not count as decoration and you can drop on them. As Blue Baby I frequently drop the Poop on a fireplace to make it a poop space instead
