Happy Saturday Moshpit! Hope your weekends are going well. Gonna be hard to beat yesterday’s madness, but that title tells me we’re going to have a Rocking time. Start Stats are okay, tear rate leaves something to be desired. The damage is great thanks to Death’s Touch, but we all know the star here is Death Certificate. I think we can guess what that’s getting cashed in for. Floor 1 GB Bug is not a good item, so we punch our ticket to hit Rock Bottom; it’s always a great time. Dad’s Lost Coin is a bummer, but nothing’s going to bring us down (because it can’t, that’s how Rock Bottom works). Floor 2 X-Ray specs are always a good shout. Not the flashiest, but you never miss out. Caffeine Pill gives us a large movement up thanks to the experimental pill it dropped. Pentagram or Athame is a hard choice from Stanley, but we can’t take both- Athame it is. Floor 3 Moon card TPs to the secret room where the D-Infinity awaits. The Item Room just gives us Soy Milk. That’s a wrap boys, runs over. Boss gives a range item, Stanley drops Abbadon & Empty Vessel- whew lad. Floor 4 After some coaxing, the Item room spawns Tractor Beam. The range is whatever, but we are staring at 20 tears. Bruh. Synthoil from the boss is good- we may actually be able to boost our damage soon. Floor 5 Gulping Pay to Win is good. Mulligan is madness with the tear rate. Super Bandage does take away empty vessel flight, but having the hp to trade is great. Unless, of course, it’s a Krampus fight- at least it’s Coal. Rerolling a claw machine drop we eventually get Number 1- let’s just round that up to 30 tears. Floor 6 Spindown die in the Item room is huge. We reroll D Infinity into Sad Onion to cap out our tears at 33. Negative Taken, Blood of the Martyr from Boss Rush. Watching Boss Rush get mulched is never bad, but I do think we could use a bit of shot speed. Ipecac is offered, yes- it is a bad idea Sin, but one we should take for the memes. Which, thankfully, he does! We finally move the needle on our damage. Floor 7 I do agree on Tractor Beam needing to overwrite the Ipecac tear height thing. It’s bullcrap that is doesn’t. Boss had a shovel, where we dig up some glasses. 20/20 on this run is animal cruelty. Speaking of which, 9 Lives! It took some doing, but we got there. Floor 8 Very high Kaboom levels & a Reverse Devil card. Personally, I would have played the Blood bank with all those red hearts, especially post-placenta, to roll into Brimstone but either it slipped Sin’s mind or he didn’t want to bother. Hush Starting to think he just forgot about Blood Bag->Brimstone. Fate puts flight on permanently, Sulfuric Acid is moving that damage floor, but Hallowed Ground is an insane boost with Rock Bottom. Hush gets blown away. Sheol Stanley stands no chance. Dark Chest The Kidney Stone play is…well it’s very silly. Tears rate is 65.69, so close to perfect Nice- but it gets boosted all the way to 120 TPS. That is starting to make the game behave funny. Sin spins into Brimstone finally, so no more…whatever that was. Inner Eye gives us what is functionally Mega Brim. Last room before the boss having Polyphemus is an official surrender by the game. The Lamb barely even animates. Victory Lap Vanishing Twin just doubles the amount of boss items that will drop. I think all Sin would want is some kind of explosion immunity. The Wafer is close enough. Halloween fans are 1 of 3 kinds of people: parents who want any excuse to do stuff, college kids who want any excuse to get drunk & wear stupid clothes, or a Christmas-replacement for people who really don’t like their parents. A second Hush? You spoil us. Mega Mush for frankly stupid Damage & host hat to seal the deal! Isaac does not get an animation. Quadshot seems to push the limits of size, but Brim 2 shows up to prove Sin wrong- the CAN get bigger. There is no screen, only beam. I think Blue Baby lived 3 frames, thanks to an Instant Replay courtesy of Forget Me now- yeah about 3 frames. Final Verdict: 10/10. The game did not break, but that’s all I can give it today.
27, no kids, Halloween is best holiday. It gets me mad seeing Christmas things in OCTOBER. I wish I knew others who loved Halloween like me, or that there was better Halloween things to buy, or that people celebrated Halloween again.
When you get the spindown dice, always look out for blood donation machines. The blood bag turns into the brimstone. I don't even play Isaac, but this has been engraved into my memory and it always pains me to see Sin ignore the blood donation machines while saying "now all we need to do is to find the brimstone".
Securing the first devil deal is the number one priority for any run. Especially if you’re going for angel deals because there needs to be a devil deal rejected for an angel deal chance going forward.
I think you could have used the devil and the strength card at the same time and gotten the damage boost. I’m pretty sure they stack when used in the same room
When you have rock bottom it is always an amazing idea to use the D8 to get an increased tear cap and damage multiplier. Always a benefit as you lose nothing from rolling till you get it
This run left the strongest impression on me out of all the strongest runs so far Also the MEGA BRIM revelation at 1:03:20 was one of the best moments of the year so far

At 26:05 I doubt it was even necessary, but you could have easily taken the Golden Razor and spent all your money to significantly increase your damage (although I actually don't know if it would have been enough to increase it)
Hey Sin, did You know that above 15 tears rate brimstone damage scales with tears rate? Basicaly Your damage gets multiplied by fire rate divided by 5 So with around 10 dmg and 120 fire rate You had efectively 210 damage per tick (2100 damage per second since they nerfed brimstone tick rate from 13 to 10) Edit: size also scales but that's prettybapparent in the video

why not take GB bug in the beginning? rerolling useless drops into potentially useful ones like bombs/keys/etc is super good. Could have also helped with getting rerolls with Spindizzle
Hey sin 👋 I installled Isaac today and it is really hard especially since I never really have played on computer. Do you or anyone in the mospit would recommend playing with mouse or controller or is it better to play with the keyboard
You shouldn't be struggling, first runs of Isaac are nothing compared to what comes next, kids below school age are capable of finishing an early run. Play with your gamepad if you played Isaac previously on console. If you didn't but have some experience in console games, stick with a gamepad. I'd recommend using a keyboard only if you are already familiar with controls and have some muscle memory, which is likely not your case.
I noticed something, when you took that first devil card you effectively permanently increased your damage to 7.80 with the „damage floor” staying at 5.67. But then you took synthoil, which should have raised your damage floor. Then you took another devil card, which should then raise your actual damage even higher, since the floor got higher from synthoil. That didnt happen tho, i’m wondering why
I think Sin is slightly mistaken on how rock bottom works. The wiki explains it best "Prevents Isaac's attributes from falling below their highest values reached. Attributes continue to be calculated normally internally. Rather than use Isaac's current stats, items and effects will impact Isaac the same way they would as if he did not have Rock Bottom".
