I decided to not waste 200k on random cosmetics and bought Operation Crimson Hammer a few days ago. I played it for the first time and goddamn... IT WAS SO WICKED! It made me feel giddy and I was the happiest I'd been playing SK in a long, long time. But it was also a bittersweet happiness, because it made me realise this game still has SO much untapped potential, despite already being phenomenal. It could honestly have been elevated to legendary MMORPG status along with Runescape, if we were getting content updates. I'll listen to the SK OSTs and those nostalgic pangs from when I first started in 2011... I wish this game could live on forever! But all good things must indeed come to an end. I've never been good enough to try a Shadow Lair despite being a Vanguard for years now, so huge thanks for your awesome runs which allowed me to experience them too. I also learnt how to blaster switch and flash charge because of you, aha! I hope you're in good health and wish you all the best in life, dude!

I got so many memories out of it ever since the beta and it's always been installed in my pc, even if I didn't play it. I think I got kind of an obsession with sk lol. About the lag and not getting hit part, I'm from South America so we *ALWAYS* had lag, and it's a shame because latin america had a lot of players, and I know a lot of players who stopped playing because of the lag Oh well, it was nice to hear from you talking about SK again, and addressing what had to be said, ty
You know, I've started paying attention to the story, and in the DaN mission they straight up infodump you the lore that wasn't used. The Sleeper, Parma's team, what happened with Hex, the core and everything. It's like Marc Laidlaw releasing Half Life 2 Episode 3's story because it wasn't ever made. It was a cute thing to do, and the little message Parma's scout gives you about being Cradle's new champion and to continue "fighting the good fight". It honesty made me tear up. I really wish for a miracle, and for as sad as playing a dead game makes me, seeing what few new players come and being able to help them out with what little I have from the old days, just makes me really happy, and gives me a bit of hope. Let's hope the core one day opens up for us too, yeah?
Spiral Knights was so fun because of its community. I've met so many great people through this game and pretty much lived life with a good amount of them. I feel that I owe this game for providing that to me. I wish that there was more content and support in this game, especially since it has the potential to be greater. But I don't think that will be anytime soon. This MMO was great back in the day, but now you can't really see anything good put in by the developers. SK is a good game to come back to once in a while, but there are many others games out there that have tons of work and love put into them by both their developers and communities.
I wish we could have our own private servers where we could make our own mods and tweaks, to keep the game alive. Oh, and have Grey Havens give/sell us the rights.
@Augur eh, maybe. It could also be a launching point of a Spiral Knights play-alike. I've been tinkering around with some concepts. I think a Spiral Knights like game would be a good candidate for voxel graphics, for starters.

You may not remember me since we sadly haven’t gotten into a lot of interactions with each other back when I was still roaming around the havens but despite that fact I urged to leave a reply on this video, since I am aware of how difficult it can be to put an end to the nostalgic journey and move forward. Spiral knights used to be a unique game with so much potential and in its core that is still the case but frankly it has been adopted and altered by a parent that doesn’t care. It takes a strong will to leave the home of this channel to the past and move on to more fulfilling things. I respect that decision and even If the sk related content had initially been the predominant reason as to why I’ve subscribed back then, I will assure you that your commentary and upcoming content will make me stick to wherever the journey goes next. never change, A random subscriber
The community has definitely tried to help out and there's been a history of people volunteering to work and help out for free, but Gray Havens has refused it all. If the game dies, I doubt they'd hand over the keys to the game to the community.
It is really sad to hear all these things about SK. But it is even worse knowing that they are all true. Seeing such a wonderfull game full of potential, with a great community being used as a money printing machine, with the only cost being running the servers (which get worse), and without any developers... It is heartbreaking. Not to mention how GH completely ignores the community with every chance they get...

I’ve personally recommended Hyper Light Drifter to some of my SK friends if they ever want to scratch that top-down Zelda like itch. As far as future vids go though, I’ll probably watch anything you make, since I enjoy listening to your voice. Wish you the best, hopefully things work out for you in the post-SK era :D
Game Recomendation for any SK Player: Monster Hunter (any of them, specially Rise for the switch) - Similar grinding system, where you have to fight the same enemies several times to get their Items - Similar leveling system, where you have to get stronger armor with skills that benefit your playstyle and weapon of choice - Similar mission focused multiplayer, where you can play with up to 3 more people - Actual weapon variety, with different melee and ranged categories, and all of them are good and fun to use - A very welcoming comunity, if you get lost with that much information, you can always ask for help or guidance - Frequent updates and event missions - The online runs on Capcom servers so it's always up and running smoothly, even if your party is at the other side of the planet
I recently decided to pick it up again after playing it in 2012-2014 and I gotta say it's really nice to find out the playerbase isn't dead as I've found a guild with about 10 people online at all times. I've never been able to get past the 8-2 hall of heroes cause I didn't even have 1 5* piece of equipment and now I'm working on it to be finally be whole with this game and not feel like it'll be a whole that I'll never be able to fill after the servers eventually close down

Oh hey, I did stream arknights a bit when the last chapter came out. That was more for a group of friends who wanted to watch but I could always stream CC when it hits too.
Sad to see no more commentated content for sk but understandable. Servers were unacceptable a year ago, I assume it's gotten worse. Looking forward to see videos on games that you can feel good about uploading.

I got permantly banned for a stupid reason too about 2 months ago, and i have appeal twice already and they havent even answer me i just gave up with the game
From Chile I keep playing this game, I have played like straight a week for like 40-50 hours, trying to get into Ice Queen SL, I completly understand about the lag, not so hard for me to play but I have seen some friends from EU complaining about it, guess it's really laggy there

They literally own the game, why wouldn't they have the rights to add things into the game!? They also added the vault and starlight cradle updates. Sorry but that's completely false.
I’ve recently got back into SK tried to follow you weapon switching tutorial. I couldn’t switch as quickly as you could in the video. Could it be the server lag disrupting the inputs or am I not finessing it correctly?
A lot of it comes down to practice, lowering your shield in particular is a frame-perfect input if you want to do it as quickly as possible! Server lag would give a consistent result for all of your inputs so it shouldn't make switching more difficult unless it's unstable.
The only reason the game is still going is because of the same 20 or so "merchants" with gambling problems that act like promo boxes are gameplay. I'm a player with thousands of hours in the game and i think it needs to die already. The "devs" have repeatedly shown that not only do they not care about SK's playerbase, they would rather put their resources into other games like Puzzle Pirates or even some new title they could be working on. The same people who complain about lack of new promo content are the same ones that spend hundreds on rehashed promo boxes. It's sickening. It must be nice getting paid for doing nothing.

They should instead of just deleting the game open up development to the spiral knights community and have them just take over.

@Augur I'm afraid it doesn't, Hunts are placed in several maps with different areas, but no dungeons :^(

another game that i been trying its "Moonlighter", its a dungeon scroll with rpg mechanics, i thing its good and seems like SK in some respects.

I prefer gungeon over isaac any day, even though I enjoy both. The tighter movement and existence of weapon switching make it more engaging imo.
