    Very nice video Phil and beautiful images! Wish we had more opportunities like this in Canada. Thank you for giving us a peek into your world. I know that you are a busy man and I also appreciate you taking the time to comment on my photos in Flickr. Take care and be safe, Steve Large "The Owl Man" - Nanaimo British Columbia Canada.

    Looks a wonderful place. Fantastic images and footage of some magnificent birds. Marvellous to be able to be above the birds in flight.
    Great to see them having such success with the Lammergiers.
    I did find the music a tad annoying but great video.

    Superb video Phil with the footage and stills of exceptional quality , looked a great trip , interested to know what dictates whether you used the prime or zoom lens for the still images ?

    • @philgowerbirdphotography
      @philgowerbirdphotography  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Cheers Steve. Size of subject and distance to subject…with these large raptors the 200-600 was the go to. The images out of it were top quality and it performed better than the 600 behind glass. That said, if I wanted creamy bokeh the 600 f4 ruled!

    Hi Phil being a sony A1 user i have watched this video and have a real itch to go there now could you give me some details on your stay ie travel and accomodation and booking the hides also best time of year winter looked gorgeous .kind regards paul stuart

    • @philgowerbirdphotography
      @philgowerbirdphotography  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Fantastic place. I favoured winter but I’m sure it’s brilliant most times of the year. Might be migrants there in spring and summer also. Accommodation is provided at the project but the nearest shop is 45 minutes away, so you’ll need to take supplies in with you.

      @@philgowerbirdphotography Ok thanks how did you travel did you get a flight to andorra ? Also looked at the hides they are glass fronted is there somewhere you can photograph ,i would not want to book a hide and not be able photograph properly ,also does the accomodation come well kitted out thanks paul stuart.

    • @philgowerbirdphotography
      @philgowerbirdphotography  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Flew into Barcelona, hire car to Buseu. If you are going to photograph large raptors, it’s most likely going to be through glass. So there will be around a stop less of light and some image degradation (a lot if you shoot over 22 degrees to the glass. Straight on it’s fine. You’ll see the image quality you can expect in the video viewed in 4K. Have a great time!

      @@philgowerbirdphotography Are the el barraco hides the same or are they set up different ?

    • @philgowerbirdphotography
      @philgowerbirdphotography  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Pretty much. They’ll be the same wherever you go in Spain. You’ll get a Booted Eagle from a none glass hide somewhere like Extremadura but probably not the bigger raptors.
