Unlike Acc No 229 which is of the same event, this item includes dramatic daytime footage of the blaze itself, before it was brought under control, clearly showing how it spread along the line of maltings from one to the next. At the time, the buildings were used as warehouses by a variety of local businesses, and a huge amount of property stored in them was destroyed.

I was actually there to see this happen, me and my friends were in castle field when we saw the smoke. I had just turned 11 years old in the Febuary.
