I feel like this is just a great example of how fun sea of thieves is if you open your eyes. I know everyone's all about distrust and saying new ships should be put in the deep end, but it really does benefit everyone if you take the time to help newer players, and even just anyone who might need it. it's fun.
Exactly! Because by helping out the new players, teaching them what to do an how to do things, not only are you helping to grow the community even more, but one could say you're investing in future ships to steal loot from xD
if you want a bit of that, this one time some kids started playing and tried to go for us, but they got krakened and sunk, so we gave them a lift to reaper and then said goodbye.. they eventually found out later that when your ship sinks it just respawn lmao they where so polite and cute
It’s a conundrum. As a solo slooper I would love to form an alliance. But at the same time I am too scared to intentionally go near other ships. Instead, if I see a mast on the horizon I usually go the opposite direction. Risking a possible sink by going toward another ship and ruining hours of work isn’t worth it most is the time.

Man that's the most priceless interactions in this entire game. Nothing best than people who comes in peace and you're able to help it's so great, and everybody gets a really good day out of it. Yesterday I met a guy who needed help to acquier his last titles for the Legendary title and the shanty. We went to reaper's Hideout to buy his last compagny title, fought a kraken and he finally entered the tavern of Legends, I was really happy for him and really happy to be part of it, it was a big moment. Thank you for promoting that way, you're gold ! Keep the good vibes 🙏

This is genuinely so super wholesome and wonderful. I didn't see a single soul on community day and I played for 12 hours =\ Admittedly I was fishing in the devil's roar... but that's never stopped people before.
Despite encounters you may have had there, in my experience everyone tries to avoid Devil's Roar unless they absolutely must go there. And if they DO go there, they're usually busy dodging volcanos and not interested in taking fights due to it lmao
@@cappytalysm Yeah usually the only reason any one goes is for the tall tales, avoiding other people in combat, or for open water events like megs and krakens and skelly ships as there is a lot of open sea and not many people looking to tussle there. In my experience though, terrible for loot as the bonus that ashen stuff gives is barely worth the trouble. Great curse tho.
Man I’m so happy I joined this community 4 years ago. At first my brother was the one really passionate about the game but after a few moths it just became my absolute favourite and it is still one of them. It’s awesome to see all the once smaller youtubers grow with the game just like Phuzzy as well. Love to see all the content brotha see you in the next stream

These kinds of encounters are the reason this is one of my favorite games, I know its a game about thievery but my recent encounters have just been so discouraging, the only dialogue i've received is toxicity and insults and not even the fun banter kind, we need more pirates like you willing to give people a chance and have fun

Was playing last night with friends who are new to the game, we came across two other ships one was a brig doing shrines/treasuries/forts but they were next to the vault we were about to clear. There was a sloop actually at the island where the vault was. Approached both ships in peace. Nothing came of it, but at least didn’t have to fight.
Oh no, he didn't even knew how to check his rank. 🤣 Me thinking: _" Yeah he doesn't have the rank necessary for the emissary flag. "_ €dit: But he had. 😏
I recently met this brigantine full of children that was really nice. They were quite new, and their mics were terrible, but they could sink a skeleton ship like no other. They said they had fought three krakens earlier, and when i left to go do my own thing, I saw them get krakened again, so I had to go help. After the kraken was done, we had about ten seconds before a Megalodon and two skeleton ships spawned. I helped these poor kids with every AI threat on the water, and just hearing them pop off when I sold my big ticket items with the alliance was just heartwarming. I'll continue to help the swabbies who need it. I'll ask questions first, shoot later, and always respect the right to parley. This video was good to see.
See these are the kind of interactions new players need to have to keep coming back. Certainly they'll run into someone who's going to sink them eventually, but they'll always have this memory and remember that not everyone who plays is a PvP sweat. This is the kind of thing that builds a community and its people like 7:15 that would have just dunked on these kids because "lolpirategame". Keep up the good work Phuzzy.
Wholesome to see this, I like Pvp games but in sea of thieves i love to role play or encounter wholesome moments like this. You can always go pure pvp in arena or whatever if you like to sweat
I'm not really one for always being friendly all the time, but I also believe it's important for newer players to have a good experience in the game, and for people who aren't on the same level to be brought up to the same level. Well done.
This is awesome. My first month on this game I ran into a really toxic player, I almost put it down. That weekend was a Community Day weekend, and I ended up in a spontaneous Server Alliance where everyone grinded a different Faction to help get my rep up, and it ended in is doing a Glitterbeard. I haven’t run into another server alliance even two years later 😂 but those formative experiences showed me the possibilities of this game.
This is what being a pirate legend is all about. PvP is fun when the time is right, but I just can't get behind the in game reaper ideology because of things like this that would be lost if everyone adopted it. I know the game is not sea of friends, but I view other pirates as rivals, but not enemies. Except for the reapers that hit down (meaning a reaper brig targeting a sloop) Hit across or up if you're looking for a fight is my approach.
Honestly I respect what you're saying a lot, but as someone who started playing with a bud only a little while ago (we've been playing for a week or so), it feels more dangerous to try and approach people nicely than to start shooting asap. We just fully embraced the PvP nature of Sea of Thieves and we're going full shoot on sight, but I hope other players don't resent us. I haven't yet gotten mad at any players except myself for making dumb mistakes, really. Edit: to our credit, we did leave a Gold Hoarders rank 2 emissary alone last time we played, and just whizzed past them while yelling "good luck" haha. I'm sure it'll happen more as we keep playing. But if we spot any reapers at all, or regular emissaries with high ranks, we always go for the kill.
jesus one in ten is so great like this. after being chased by so many toxic weirdos a pro player took me around and helped me beat monsters and forts and even other ships. these guys are the real MVPs. you can even make friends and have a battle - it's just a game. having fun and making friends is 10x more awesome than trying to feel big by being a weirdo and trying to mess up someone's good time. people like that are unhappy and you could just have fun and make afriend instead, and be happy. sea you out there!

All these streamers "tucking" and killing other pirates just to be "better" than them are the pirates I really dislike. It's not magic because of them, it's magic about the people that help others and just wanting to have fun in a game. Fighting is a part of the game and I love fighting enemy ships that do it for funsies and are really nice while or about the fight. The last 3 fights I was chit-chatting with the people we fought (I lost) and we had fun while fighting. This is the magic of Sea of thieves. This is what makes the game be enjoyable. I never expected so much wholesomeness between Reaper captains. If the game was more like this I'd definitely give it a try, but from personal experience, open PvP always means getting spawn camped by players with endgame resources.
