What a great channel you have, thanks for sharing your fine collection, you are of my generation, heard you mention you got ur first cb in 1977 that would of been the old am days.. that makes Craig I've never heard of, it sure sounds good

@ItsRael108 hi, thanks for your comments. The Craig were a good American company. They produced some great radios . The L232 is a Uniden built set, very much like the Stalker XX base, and the Land Command LCBS-8.
My first rig was a Sharp little window, model CB-2460

You have some great radios there. Just one thing I would never have a CB with Amp’s built into them, amplifiers are meant to be one of the last thing before the antenna.all these new wigs that push out power as well. It’s just a matter of time before they won’t work. Not saying that you don’t know what you’re doing because I already know that you know what you’re talking about and doing, but all these new rigs will not last long with most people.anyway sorry for the big story still love you’re radios and thanks for letting us see them. Alan CT48/70. Saying 73s were on the side.🏴󠁧󠁢󠁷󠁬󠁳󠁿🇬🇧👍

@alanslade2319 Alan, you're absolutely bang on what you're saying, mate. This old stuff is running low power into half decent amps that stand the test of time
Blow the finals in a high power radio. you're out of action, unlessyou mighthave anothercoupleof hundred sets laying around the place?.. not everyone has. Best let the amp do the hard work..
It's like having a different and barking yourself.
I run low radio watts, and get good barefoot contacts, but when called for, I have the capability to run a 2 pill. And also it can drive a selection of tube amps i have. So final word is, your antenna is your best friend..
      Nice comment, cheers Alan 🍻

Hi Kevan that Craig is a Beautiful Base and I Love the Look of that Cobra with its Big VU meter and the Little T Bear is a Nice old unit.
P.S I worked my first international station tonight from New Zealand into Hawaii on my Little barefoot 1977 Midland 23 channel made my day, my mate said you’ll be pushing shit uphill to get a contact overseas on only 4 watts but I did it, so stuff them!😉😁

@gordonlowe8473 Wow, brilliant Gordy. That's a good contact to make, and on the little 23 channel, too!
The Cobra works really well, but it is not a radio I go mad about. I must get the Bases set up again very soon.
      As you'll see, I've made a start with a Realistic TRC-490.
I hope you make some more contacts very soon, mate..

The Trouble is No one talks on the CB any more. Maybe truckers that's about it. Wish it would come back. I've got a Washington base station . Fully Packed. Uppers Lowers And side band And a few more. and A Linear that puts out 1,000 watts. tube type. I've talk just about all over the world , Back in the day.

@FredMoore-x1s get it fired up again Fred, it's never going to be the way it used to be back then, but there's still some great stations out there around the world.
A great little base, them Washingtons, I have a couple of them. What's the Tube amps you have there? I often use them..
      Nice comment, 😊 thanks.
