In my opinion Itachi is one of the most Unique, Authentic and Influential characters from the series. The thing that people underestimate about Itachi fights/encounters, isn't just his power, (it's mainly writters or Kishimoto's fault for making Itachi seem or to look very powerful throughout the series) but how smart and intelligent he is during various situations, he never, ever underestimates his opponents because of his composure and his way of being, the level of thinking he's on honestly dwars most people in the series, with only people like Minato and Shikaku comparable with him. More precisly, Itachi isn't just an ordinary Shinobi also, he pretty much knows and he's also aware that all strong opponents have weaknesses (including himself), and he specializes in finding those "weaknesses" and exploiting them ("*Even the strongest of opponents always has a weakness*" - Uchiha Itachi) because he's that type of character who can exceed almost any expectations. Itachi is very unique and authentic, especially in the factor of facing various encounters approach, his unpredictability in his way of fighting style approach it's his key factor in all of his encounters. Being blind or nearly blind has never slowed him down (especially when he's pretty much serious, but that's the point, he has never go all out against anyone during the series.) Itachi it's that type of character who can exceed almost any expectations. (at least that's what we were shown in the anime by the creator Masashi Kishimoto). Moral of the story, never underestimate Itachi. He did more sick then most healthy ninjas do in their entire life. In my opinion No One should underestimate such an unpredictable Shinobi like Itachi, even Madara (I won't say that Itachi can beat him, but at least he will be pretty much able to put a decent fight that Madara will also be impressed in my opinion). Also how can some of you guys even consider that Totsuka Blade it's slow when no such speed feat has been shown through the Shippuden that state it that it is slow? All of you are assuming it to be slow it may not be the case... Its not that the sword is unavoidable but it clearly has a very long range and is a very long blade. If you look at the manga, Naruto, Bee and Itachi are all relatively small from Nagato's point of view, and you can see the Totsuka Blade extending all the way from Itachi, piercing through Nagato, and still managing to nearly pop out toward the reader out of the page. I would say its fast because Kabuto coudldn't even react to it, and its not like Nagato was completely immobile to the point that he couldn't sidestep the blade. Also, Kabuto controlling people from far away is never stated to inhibit the Edos' reaction speed in any way. Being controlled by someone thousands of miles away didn't stop the Third Raikage from dodging KCM Naruto's Rasenshuriken. And as for Orochimaru, the sword struck him in between syllables of a word during his speech. I think that that is pretty fast. Pair the Totuska Blade with a good feint and its lethal because its ethereal, meaning it can pierce through any object. If the sword didn't live up to its reputation then Orochimaru wouldn't seek it out. People need to stop downplaying Itachi and denying the very clear speed feats of Totsuka. There is no room for interpretations here. The advantage of being an Uchiha, especially for Itachi and Madara, is that during an encounter against them, they always have a counter because of their unpredictable way of fighting factor, they don't run out of options or techniques, they almost always have a counter in their arsenal, even forbidden jutsus seems irrellevant against them, only a few Uchihas know a certain way to approach the situation with a certain and effective technique, that's why is hard/difficult to fight against them in my opinion. ☯️ 🤷♂️ Here are the things that make Itachi so formidable. Tsukuyomi - A genjutsu so powerful that you literally can't escape it unless you have the same blood as Itachi, as stated by Itachi himself and proven later by Sasuke, or you're a jinchuriki. Jinchuriki are supposed to be immune to genjutsu but it hasn't been proven, but when Bee was fighting Edo Nagato and Itachi with Naruto, he said to watch out for Tsukuyomi explicitly. Literally 99% of all opponents fighting Itachi have no way of stopping Tsukuyomi. You could have the power to split the planet in half and it wouldn't matter. (Want to know why? - Kakashi pretty much state it in the actual anime and manga that Tsukuyomi it's such a dangerous Genjutsu Technique because it happen in a instant, even if you realize that you are trapped in the Tsukuyomi, it will be too late, because Itachi could approach you during that time in the real world (or he can use an Explosive Clone to approach you without you even realizing it in time and he can pretty much finish you before you can even realize, - 72 hours in Tsukuyomi realm means 1 second or a couple of seconds in the real world. Tsukuyomi can't be broken, when used to it's fullest.) The Sword of Totsuka and Yata Mirror - The Susanoo itself is a near invincible defense but these two weapons take it to the next step. The Sword of Totsuka can seal "anything" if it even touches it. It's completely OP. It's hard to fight a guy that can seal you away if his sword even touches you. The Yata Mirror is even a bigger deal in my opinion. It doesn't block attacks, it's "negates" them. You could throw an Amaterasu covered Bijuu bomb at Itachi and the Yata mirror will negate it, making it so the Susanoo doesn't even need to take a blow. You could punch the Yata mirror and the force will completely be negated. His biggest strength of all: tactical intelligence - Itachi always outsmarts and plans for everything because the plot demands it. You're physically strong? Itachi is already 2 steps ahead of you knowing exactly what to do. You're extremely fast? Again, 2 steps. You're going to try and outlast Itachi in a fight? Good luck. To add to this, some of the 3 most powerful techniques in the verse are due to his intelligence and planning ability; Izanami, Izanagi, and Kotoamatsukami. Izanami - A forbbiden genjutsu technique that allows you to alter someone's destiny. Impossible to break out of even if you know you're in a genjutsu without complying with the users set destiny for you. Even someone like Bee, a perfect Jinchuriki, can't escape Izanami unless he does what Itachi wants him to. Izanagi - You somehow gained an advantage over Itachi? He makes it so that advantage never happened. Kotoamatsukami - Though Shisui's technique, Itachi has his eye which effectively makes it his weapon. A genjutsu so powerful that the person it's cast on doesn't even know they're under a genjutsu. Like the Tsukuyomi, completely OP. To add to all of this, Itachi is pretty good at hand to hand combat, is great with shuriken, is extremely fast, is great with regular fire techniques, is slippery and unpredictable, and has the extremely dangerous and fast Genjutsu style of fighting approach that can caught you off guard almost at any time. With all of these things considered you've got one dangerous ninja. Lastly but not least Kishimoto made sure that Itachi was seen as someone special and he did an incredible job in establishing that in the story. When Itachi Uchiha awakened his Susano'o, he was seen wielding legendary weapons of the Totsuka Blade and the Yata Mirror. The former allowed Itachi to seal anyone he pierced in a world of genjutsu forever, while the latter gave him the ability to deflect any and all attacks thrown towards him, regardless of whether they were physical or spiritual in nature. According to Zetsu (who was around since the period of Kaguya time era until the present of Naruto) he state it in the anime and also in the manga that these weapons, when combined with his Susano'o, made Itachi Invincible. This is why Kishimoto basically had to give him a handicap: Naruto AIDS. 🤷♂️ ☯️

@@brajeshsingh8222 What I meant when I said Itachi's clones are legendary and unpredictable is that they can explode, no one in the series has used clones like Itachi to explode, what I want to point out is that , even if you could see them with the Sharingan, you'd have no way of knowing for sure which clones explode or not, and that's where Itachi's intelligence and battle IQ experience factor comes in, as he's one of those characters that it can bear you by surprise almost always. I tend to remind you that Obito was indeed afraid to face Itachi in a real encounter: he himself admitted to some degree in the anime and also in the manga, Obito's words: "The Leaf Village is no longer "off limits" Itachi's dead... Nothing stands in my way now." "Fortunately I managed to keep some a few secrets even from him... If I hadn't, I'd be dead right now." (episode 139) (Although knowing Itachi is sick, Obito admitted that if Itachi knew the full truth about him. He will be dead.) Or maybe Obito didn’t fear Itachi but he knew that he could die fighting him. When Obito and Itachi were about to face off in Road to Ninja (Movie) Itachi states that clearly: “From your appearance, it seems that physical attacks will not work against you, however I’m not completely out of options...” then activates his Sharingan and Obito says “If you feel like it, you can even burn away flames huh? As always, you're a troublesome fellow." Then he gtfo of there. xD ☯️🤷♂️ If Obito hadn't said those words in the anime and in the movie I mentioned, then I wouldn't have been debating so much the confrontation between the 2. Obito admitted in the anime that if he hadn't kept certain informations hidden from Itachi, Itachi could've killed him if he knew certain things about him. So even If he knew that Itachi is sick, he didn't want to go against him in a actual encounter. Still... This fight could go either way, but for me Itachi has slightly better chances because of his calmness, intelligence and battle IQ experience. I don't understand how some people can underestimate Itachi like that, that's why in my previous comment I said that their matchup would be quite unpredictable, because in my opinion they both have a real chance to win against each other, it bothered me just because they singled out Obito as if only their opinion mattered, forget that Itachi isn't just any ordinary shinobi either, he is still considered by a very wide range of Naruto connoisseurs to be a very unique and unpredictable character at the same time and no one should underestimate him as they currently do. ;/ 🤦♂️🤷♂️

1. Your saying Obito is afraid that Itachi will expose him to the world.
a. He said if Itachi knew the truth he would be dead. Not exposed to world.
b. Shortly after, Obito went to the Kage summit and revealed himself to the world anyway. He declared war on the entire shinobi world. Who was he afraid Itachi was going to tell? He waited until the one man he feared (Itachi) was dead to declare war. He waited until the one man he feared (Itachi) died before telling Nagato to attack Konoha.
This alone makes this point look ridiculous.
2. Obito would never have taken on the Edo Akatsuki. However, you know who would? Madara. Who was Obito pretending to be? Madara. Obito backed down immediately after Kabuto called his bluff by showing that Obito was a fake Madara. Obito dropped the act real fast when Kabuto showed him the real Madara.
3. Itachi easily kept up with Naruto while holding a Conversation. See how that statement can go both ways and proves nothing. Edo also negs your speed and strength. So, Itachi is not even at full power as Edo Tensei. Kabuto;s edo tensei while better than Orachiamaru's was atleast a -10% power.
4. Obito was on the complete defensive against those four the whole fight and still got his mask broken. Thats not really a big game changing feat. He's still leagues below Madara at that point.

If you watched the whole series then you would know that the is no chance of Itachi defeating Obito in battle I admire Itachi but Obito was the Closest to Madara as we can get from a Character than all the other Uchihas, No Itachi's Jutsu would surprise Obito as he almost know all the Uchiha Jutsus and how to counter them, not mentioning the Chakra difference between the two as Obito would fight all night long and Itachi would easily get tired

The only way they were able to do any damage to him was cause the use of kakashi kamui. Itachi does not have kamui therefore he has nothing to counter obitos kamui. If you ask me itachi potential ran out after sauske surpassed him. Just think about it cause the fight with killer bee showed you just how ineffective itachi is against an opponent like bee. Sauske used tsukinomei on killer bee and immediately killer bee broke it and dam near killed Sasuke if it wasn't for Karin. Sauske used amaterasu on killer bee and dude faked him out by hiding in a tentacle. And killer bees movements were unable to be read by Sasuke sharigan. The reason I'm using sauske as an example is cause he surpassed his brother, and by the time he was fighting bee he was relative to itachi. Obito fought killer bee, kakashi, kcm Naruto and guy sensei all at the same time and they couldn't touch him without the aid of kakashi kamui. Obito is a boss and would destroy itachi.
