I am so glad that I stumbled across this video while researching water transportation in Venice. We will start our Viking cruise in September with a 2-night addon in Venice. While Viking will take care of getting us from airport to hotel when we arrive and hotel to Chioggia on embarkation day, my wife and I will be responsible for getting around Venice for sightseeing and I was freaked out about how to learn how to use all the water transportation options. Thank you so much for this video!!!
Happy travels. Thanks for the comment
When buying vaporetto tickets to the airport make sure you specify AIRPORT. We got the 3 day pass for the vaporetto, but the airport wasn't included. It was a different company. Also be sure the timing works for your flight. If you have an early flight, you may get stuck paying ~£130.00 one way like we did. We would have been better off taking a train back to Rome for a flight.
Thank you so much for your valuable input. Your comment will help others avoid the same issue. I wish you better travels in the future.
Such great tips! Thanks for sharing info about taking trains into Venice - super helpful.
Thanks for.the comment. I've been taking the train into Venice since I was kid. Arriving.into Venice is one of the most unique experiences in Italy.

I have yet to see a video on Venice that matches this one! I have watched many over the past month and yours is the best of the best! From what you see when you leave the train station, to the current prices and purchasing options for transportation (😊!!), to background on the artwork, hours and cost of museums, places to eat and even some necessary phrases. Perfecto~!! Thank you angel. (I love the hilarious part about the disturbance in ‘the force’. 😂
Wow, thank you! Much appreciated 🙏🏼

Recently we were in Venice and our hotel was right across from the train station next to the big church. It was fun to see it in your video.
That’s so cool. Which hotel?
@@TheTourGuyVids Hotel Carlton. I really liked it.
@@floridastitcher1is this outside the island?
@@floridastitcher1I’m visiting from Florida, not sure if you’re from F. But I’m coming from the airport to stay one night. Not sure what will be best since I’m traveling with luggage
Will be flying into Venice 2/17. What would you recommend for the best / easiest transportation from Airport to AC Hotel?
to many you are angel, to me U R buddy
Thank you for all the tips
Would you suggest to find a hotel near the station so it’s walkable distance once arrive
We are coming in for the first time so just need advice where to stay and still be close to everything
I don't recommend staying near the station

Thank you so much your videos have been so helpful
Hi Angel, I'm enjoying your videos, planning to travel in September and will be staying in venice for 2 days. Beside Murano for a 1/2 day tour. I'll have more time to see other islands. Any suggestions to visit, Torcello, Giudecca and Lido, Burano. Plus what are the times schedule for the Vaporatto Water busses to and from Venice to these islands? Any suggestions would be great. I'd like to plan ahead. Healthy Regards,
Thank you. My advice chill more. Sounds like you have a busy two days
@@TheTourGuyVids hi not what I had expected from your answer.
I’m trying to fulfill my time in Venice and wanted to get your expertise on information on the other islands.
how do you gain access to the view from 4:40 in the video? is that from the Torre dell'Orologio or the Procuratie Vecchie?
thetourguy.com/tours/venice/doge-palace-secret-itineraries-tour-skip-the-line
You think it's worth going to Venice for 5-6 hours? I'll be taking a train from Bologna.
Any time in Venice is better than no time in Venice. Use the time to plan for a longer trip. Carpe Diem!
The glaring omission here is that you didn't mention the land bus between the airport and Piazzale Roma. It's a potentially good option in several circumstances.
But I think getting between the airport and Venice and getting around Venice itself should be two different videos. Other than the very pricey water taxi, the options are very different.
I’m looking forward to your videos!
