It can take you years of hard work to learn a new language and by the time you learn it, we wont know what the policies are. Canada may have a new ruling party in 2025 with new plans for immigration.
Hey, I'm Stephane from Toronto. I came to Canada as an international student for the May intake in 2024. I submitted my Express Entry profile on August 11th and got invited to apply after just 5 days! It helped a lot that I can speak both English and French since I'm from Cameroon, a bilingual country. So, if you're thinking of immigrating to Canada, learning French could really boost your chances of getting permanent residency. - October 18, 2024: mail from IRCC for permanent residence portal(PR confirmation) in which I had to send them some personal information. - November 1, 2024: 2nd mail for New credentials for the PR Portal and they were asking me to send my picture and confirmation that I'm in Canada through the PR portal that they created for me, which is a crucial step to confirm your status as a permanent resident in Canada, Now l'm just waiting for them to approve the information(address and my photo).
@studyliveexploreca thanks. I also receive 2 mails from IRCC. The first one was about giving some personal information and the second one asking me to send the photo and my address in Canada. I hope they are going to approve it as soon as possible. 🙏
The competition for bilingual jobs outside Quebec is way less and in many cases you get a small bilingual bonus, it's only $5-10k more but it is something
@studyliveexploreca yup. But that clb is only additional points for pnp, still not guaranteed to get nominated. unlike clb 7 u can straight away get ita from french category base express entry draw.
in tops of all the harsh requirements, despite having multiple degrees, now I need to learn french just so I can stay ? no thanks, I personally will take a one-way ticket home the day I graduate !

Yes, it can take 1-2 years to learn it, we dont know the future holds but being bilingual can be useful too. So its up to u if u wanna do it or not.

Ok, mag-aaral na ako ng wikang Pranses!😊❤
Aja! ❤❤❤
Thanks coach MC 😊
no worries ❤
Unless you live in Quebec or parts of new brunswick, French won't be used at all. Some government jobs in Ottawa may require french.
being bilingual can be useful too
If you don't use it, you lose it. I used to live in Quebec and view some french. Now I forgot how to speak french.

Can I complete my degree in one year from canada? Please tell me😊🎉❤

Yes, it will take time to learn it but I guess it will be helpful for pr too
It is easy to say learn french. But u need to get CLB 7 for each category to qualify for ITA permanent residence.
yes clb 7 for express entry, but clb 4 atleast for pnp

If you are learning a new language, just go to Europe then where life is much better.
Life much better in Europe? LOL
in tops of all the harsh requirements, despite having multiple degrees, now I need to learn french just so I can stay ? no thanks, I personally will take a one-way ticket home the day I graduate !
bye felicia! 😂
This is just a suggestion - again its not for everyone, if you want extra points then learning French would be helpful.
Only in Quebec
For PR it would be helpful if you are in other provinces
