@Panjabi Pandit A Hindu can be theist, atheist, monotheist, polytheist , idol worshiper, no idol worshiper or anything in Indian cultural sphere. A hindu is free person from any shackle. Just hindu follows some cultural norms unknowingly and not necessarily believers. A hindu can question his own belief and it's ultimate aim is to know the truth not by believing something but by experience. And hindu way of life and it's several books helps in this process. Faith foreign to India are believers and don't like any argument .

@Gaun Yin you don't no anything about India and hindus. Hindus consider Gautam Buddha as 10nth incarnation of Hindu Vedic god Vishnu since ancient times. So we follow him as our own. Butt lots of Gautam Buddha like enlightened sole born in holy land of India . So it is very common for us hindus to follow all or specifically one among them. You are foreigner so you will never understand India properly. It is not necessary that every Indian will follow Gautam Buddha because we can fulfill our riligio cultural philosophical appetite by following Bhagavat Gita, Ramayana, Veda, Upnishad or Buddha and you have only one option.
