Yes. It is like a 3 dimensional truss with varying circular tube cross section. It serves two purposes protecting the occupant and is used for mounting the rollcage. Check out the rule book. There are dimensions in it. www.bajasaeindia.org/pdf/2015_Baja%20SAE%20India%20Rules.pdf
