I like the short shot exhaust, it is quite common though, on mine I think I’m going to remove the heat shields and wrap the skinny part of the pipes to make it look a bit more custom
D Barker probably doing the riders course next month. Considering the street bob as my first bike. Only thing I don’t like is the digital speedometer but other than that it looks like my style. Might get it in the mustard yellow so I can stick out like a sore thumb 😆
If you've done exhaust and intake, you should really get it tuned as well. It'll run better and smooth out the torque curve with better torque response.
Looks and sounds great. I did similar. I ended up putting tab performance zombies on it. The sound beats Vance and Hines hands down. But I sacrificed the looks that the short shots give me. it's a predicament for sure. I also installed the Trask high flow breather. The beauty of this is I can switch back and forth depending on how I feel. Great video...looking forward to more
Bikes looking fantastic Mark and sounds great. If there is one thing I don't like about the bob is the big gap at rear fender and rear tire .great vlog cheers
Short Shots, nice touch...not gone down the old TBR 2-1 like EVERY body else (me included)! Not surprised you put the forwards on knowing your track record👌 Can’t wait to see where you go with it next 🤘
thanks for letting the oil circulate a little bit before revving it. i seen i guy at the dealer start the bike and similtanisaly just rip the trottle and black smoke came out.
What forward controls are you using? I have a 2018 FXBB that I want to do the samething to. What did you use to cover the hole in the outer primary where the midcontrols use to be?
That sounds better!! What’s with the chrome forwards? Rick’s in Baden Baden do some wicked black forwards with matching grips. Was in there last week. We bought their side mounted number plate for my girlfriends Street Bob. Looks sick. Their customised Softails are awesome.
Dave Bavister tbh I would powder coat black but we were in a little rush so we wanted to get the controls on as they were to show you guys. We are going to put some descent accessories on such as foot pegs and hand grips etc 👍
Hi, quick question. Do you think you'll address what all might be needed to swap out the tank and guage for the 5 gallon one? I've been looking at getting the new streetbob and I want change the tank and guage to the one on the Softail slim to get the classic street Bob look with the better performance. Great video!
I sat on some bikes today and really like the street bob but if felt cramped and am 5'6 . Are the forward controls reletively the same as the 48 's distance wize?
bro where did you get forward controls because HD didn't presented forward controls still. Me to I did some modification on my softail street bob I will share and inform you. Have good ride bro.
DONT WISH TO UNDERMINE MOTONEWB,,, HD FORUM HAS GOT THIS , JUST HOPE THEY DONT MIND ME HYPERLINKING. .. www.hdforums.com/forum/softail-models/1214321-2018-street-bob-forward-controls.html
@@jtec99 Are there any perfect HD model on the market? you have to change the handllebars and/or midcontrols to forwards, the seat and so on.... then you have a lot of hd parts, needlessly for a price of a used Japan bike. it would be the fair policy that you customize your bike before you buy. Totally industrial wasting, needlessly processing.
I don't mind the new changes, interesting tank. I am not gelling with the engine sound though, idle seems high and not much of a classic Harley lope. Seems to go pretty hard though.
The M8 is counter balanced for the first time. They actually got the vibration down to almost zero during development but they decided to bring it back on. As the Harley always vibes.
So are you saying the bike has increased ground clearance with the forward control set up? Personally I'm not a fan as your lower legs look a lot more exposed.
I really did not like that bike to start with..... from just that little customisation I am already coming around.... Looking forward to the next stage..... Well done Moto'
I don’t like how they did away with the speedometer and gas cap / fake gas cap. I really like the older birds eye view of the gas tanks before these new street bob tanks
i nearly brought a street bob but i am getting fed up with buying harleys and having to spend 7 or 8 grand on stage 1s pipes forward controls a seat you can sit on for more than 5 minutes and in the case of the street bob a back brake that works and thats just what you have to do to make it a decent ride plus an over priced air cleaner and a fuel pack i think i am over harleys now im going for a triumph bobber next
Mark Noble i know. Just been doing real life stuff and the bikes been in Germany 🇩🇪 for an event. Hopefully next weekend I can show you guys the end result.
As a matter of personal opinion, 2 into 1 exhaust would look better on the StreetBob (2 Brothers). In addition, why not go with the Power Commander? I have heard through mechanics that with emissions standards, you get better results.
Donaldson Cole I was toying with the idea of putting my go to V&H comp exhaust on but you know it’s all opinion based. Think the 2-1 would look good as well.
Not a big fan of the street Bob but I like the changes your making. I hope you do something with that rear mudguard (fender for the American followers), it just doesn't suit the bike at all. A bulkier front tyre would also look sick. Keep up the good work motonewb.
V&H Short shots have very little to no back pressure and are probably the worst addition if you are looking for a true stage 1, don't be fooled by V&H poly graph dyno advertisments you will actually loose HP with those on the bike, best way to gain is to get a 2-1 pipe and a tune
i was allso supprised they didnt use a 2 into one . With all due respect if you add quiet baffels, or even pack wrap the standards you will achieve back pressure, any v&h stage one will knock standard settings into a cocked hat, but yeh unless its my phone speaker thoes pipes do sound straight through, so not the best they could have done, for the resources available. Edit,,, there are generic baffles on flee bay for a tenner and also fiberglass wrap. I dont know if things have changed " me being old school" but i was to believe no back pressure also caused excessive exhaust valve temperatures, so buggerd up the valve seats.
Slightly disappointed. By putting a stage 1 on first you're basically admitting you're not going to be doing a stage 3 (or 4), (otherwise why change the exhaust now).
John McDowall never said I’d have a stage 2 or more for this build. Personally it’s something I would think of last as the look for me is more important than engine performance.
Oh, I know you never said that. I was just hoping. Sorry if I sounded overly critical just a little disappointed is all. When I get my Harley the first thing I'm looking to do is a stage 3 so I was hoping to see you and Blockhead do the same. No probs though. Ride safe, ride free.

I just got my 2020 Street Bob and I added forward controls and the bike feels so nice.
I've bought the Street bob for my first Harleydavison and I love it, I've put a stage 1 with Vance & Hines exhaust with the screaming eagle force air.

what inside leg would suit these forwards pegs

Ciao e complimenti . Una richiesta . Secondo te , il manubrio dello street bob 107 , deve proseguire l'inclinazione delle forcelle ?
What forward controls are you using? I have a 2018 FXBB that I want to do the samething to. What did you use to cover the hole in the outer primary where the midcontrols use to be?
Hola. Is just put that? Not need anything more? Like change gas hose or something?
Moto, I keep meaning to ask. How tall are you? As I was wondering what the forward controls would be like for a tall rider.
That sounds better!! What’s with the chrome forwards? Rick’s in Baden Baden do some wicked black forwards with matching grips. Was in there last week. We bought their side mounted number plate for my girlfriends Street Bob. Looks sick. Their customised Softails are awesome.

Motonewbrider Nice one. Don’t blame you for changing to forwards quickly. Rode hers today briefly and got cramp in my left leg!!
Very nice. Is possible with this nice pipes to be 2 seater. What about back pegs and fixation of them. Keep goin.

I’m leaving the original instrument cluster but would love to add an old school dial tach in front of it.

I’m 5‘10“ and bought a 2020 Street Bob because it fit me like a glove. Funny how „feel“ is so different person to person.

I cancelled my order of the fxlr and got a FXBB instead. My question is how did you get forward controls I can't find them?!?!
Could we get a parts list specifically for the forward controls

Steve Moody what I do know is that the parts have come from a softail Breakout ( forwards ) 2018 onwards model basically the M8’s
The bike should come stock with forwards. Hate being forced into spending more money.

Did he use the current stock controls to forward mount? Thanks
How far forward are the forward controls compared with the mids?

Do you ever see yourself getting rid of the low rider s for a M8 softail?
The rear brake on my girlfriends Street Bob is awful. Did you find that and has its performance improved after fitting the forward controls?
Dave Bavister I tend to use the front brake 80% of the time so I can’t give you an accurate response.
Hey I’ve been looking to get forward controls on mine. Where did you get yours at? Please help
Isaiah Henry forward controls components from s breakout. The boys at shaw Harley Davidson sorter it.
The forwards look the biz!
I've got to ask, where they made "in house"? Or can you share a contact or link?
davemaxx they are softail breakout forwards that have been modified to fit mate.

Awsome pegs,
And V&H Sage 1 ( Vance & Heins FP3 tuning module & downlodable map database can now be attatched) lol. Awsom.
How much is the stage 1 upgrade? This is my finish goal for my first bike (yes I know what it starts at).
Ive been looking for a cap like yourse for weeks maybe months now! Where could i get it? Great video as always !
Dion the brand is called Roeg.
I’m welsh, like your self and absolutely love that t-shirt where the hell did your mate get it 😂

do the pipes run with or without baffles?
Im curious to
Baffles out buddy
Motonewbrider you lose a lot of low end torque with out the baffles. Need that back pressure.
How tall are you? Is it a considerable difference?
Did you use a fuelpak? Or dyno it?
What forward controls kit did you use ?
BackyardBuild Bryan forward controls fella from a softail Breakout ( 2018 model onward )

Motonewbrider Brilliant, looking forward to seeing the finished bike and what you’ve done with it,
Sounds much better
Who’s forward controls?
Aktuck tuck softail Breakout forward controls. Think that’s what you need?
No but seeing what works cause I’ve pieced together a parts list of a Fatbob for them. But good to know the break out works
Can you tell us the approximate prices?
tom rebel I’ll find out mate tbh I didn’t even ask that bit 😂

WHY is no one customizing the low rider? It's the bigger canvas of the two and we've already seen the street bob done....

V&H generally are very good quality, but suck at making any power !!

The Street Bob looks very much like my Blackline after I put on some apes. I´m sure ir rides way better though ahah
Want one so bad
Looking forward to it.
Id like to see the bike be lowered ,the mirrors be filled, like 48.
That's why I like the Softail Slim version, it's like a big 48.
