4:30 for the bullet bill as a platform thing, if you want to make it more accessible, put a platform on that left side that is set up so that throwing the bullet bill while standing there always aligns with the height of the door.
the point was to make the player nail the height though, I believe. The first throw is lined up with the coins, the second throw you have to line up yourself.
It's cool just how good Alpha is at making something that could very well be boring and tedious into something remarkably fun to watch. Mans spent 3 hours on one jump and 7 Thousand people watched him the entire time.

I like how he designed the world like an actual descent into a dungeon, the ideas that could have actually ended up in the world are near the entrance, whilst the bullshit just got scrapped into the depths of the dungeon

Man, those level sketches remind me of when I was like 5 or 6 and was doodling my own little sonic levels. Nothing sadistic, just TONS of slides, springs and loop-de-loops.
Although, it also had an underwater route under the “main course” so it’s not rly w/o sin lol

Seeing all the rough sketches of your ideas and then seeing what you tried doing with those ideas is really cool
I gotta say seeing him with Level sketches is genuinely really fun to me. Because that’s stuff legit game designers do so it’s cool to see how serious some people are genuinely taking with making these levels. I wasn’t super interested in Mario maker but seeing Alpha make worlds has led me down this rabbit whole of people super seriously designing levels has us kinda tempting me to actually get the game

I like these kinds of videos. It's fun to see Alpha gush about his creative process. I've been trying to come up with some levels on my own so these kinds of videos motivate me.

He means "if you guess wrong, you die immediately". Most platformers give you some sort of warning you can react to.
