I have been diagnosed with 1st cmc subluxation 2 wks ago. I got a glove with support for the thumb. But I felt restricted in use of my hand. So I figured taping would probably help better. So I searched and searched and stumbled upon this video. I watched, I did the method on my thumb. Happy me!!! It helps really. It does not feel restricted, not uncomfortable, I can do the things I need to do as a housewife. Thnx for this.
I really like your videos but I find myself cutting the strips shorter than suggested (I wear a large in the Comfort Cool splint/support). I guess that is okay as they still provide relief and the effect may depend on what type of tape is used. Thanks for your videos. Keep it up.
I have a bennett's fracture in my right thumb that was fixed with surgery. I have quite a bit of discomfort (not actual pain) at the base of the thumb (mcm joint) on the palm side. Would this taping work yet still allow me to move my thumb?
Yes , but you may need to free up the sensory nerve- SBRN. It will probably be stuck at the base of the thumb, or along the thumb and IF. Get a small tool- can be the edge of a spoon even- and scrape the tissue distally towards the fingers. This will help free up the nerve. If it gets irritated, then settle it with vibration.

Not every tape has blocks. Please add a universal measurement to help with size of tape.
Each block is 2 inches long

I've had CMC subluxation for almost a year now and is having nerve problems. Will the technique help correcting my condition? Thank you for the video.
