I feel as the show went on everything that made the characters unique and not just ordinary people was phased out and that’s why the show lost a large following. It focused more on romance and marriage issues rather than the nerdy science aspect which made the show unique and relatable to nerds like me lol

every time I see Howard outsmarting sheldon getting the sword. it makes me think, at the end of the show Howard should have got the Nobel prize instead of sheldon. it would have been the best catalyst for sheldon to humble himself

It's innocent because it was only trying to be funny. Not like other shows that use that kind of jokes just to be edgy or for political reasons.
Aside from quality, that could come from the difference in lighting and camera quality.
