No I haven't. I've seen a few videos on it from e.g. Solomon Ruddell.
Maybe this series is a good chance to play the Scotch Gambit? You have said you always wanted to learn it.
Ooh, that's a good point actually. I was leaning towards the London System, which I used to play. Scotch Gambit, like it!

@@ChessBootCamp It's a great opening and in over half my games I am up at least +2.0 after 10 moves even against 2000s, but it can be a bit tricky to know why as is very tactical.

That was fun Ben. i know what to do with the Caro-Kann, avoid playing it like the plague, if anyone is cheeky enough to play it against you, punish them severely. It was only when i moved up to the North that i understood why the Northernmost part of Scotland is called Sutherland. Thanks mate.
Ya, we were in SE Sutherland the other week on a two-day road trip, start of the NC500. I will do the Caro against e4. @Lucan23 has suggested the Scotch Gambit as White, which I think is an excellent suggestion.
