I get severe anxiety and feel stressed at night and I was not at able to sleep and during the time negativity would eat me up but now while listening to this my heart my mind and my body felt at peace it felt like somewhere lord shiva is sitting there and keeping a watch for me with a calm smile...and it all feels right while listening to this...

All That Is, a.k.a. Shiva itself that you truly are. The pure mind only sees emptiness, external or internal - no attachments, all phenomena is fine and equal. I meant that we have to go "inward" to find the pure mind. The external world cannot help us. I find the center of silence (like in prathyara). It is from that that I take refuge. I just follow the peace and not live in judgment with strong attachments. Lord Shiva is the only and first yogi with the power of silence, acceptance and moving the universe. I remember hearing this for the first time at my second PRIDE celebration in PDX a few years ago. One of my worst and best times so far in my life. There were a few people sitting in a drum circle chanting this on a patch of grass near the water front. I picked up one of their cards for their church instead of staying. I really considered joining them but my ego was very much in control back then. Marlene, sometimes we do not realize that certain foods can cause us to have anxiety and lose our calmness. o not realize that certain people can do the same to us. Especially if you happen to be a sensitive soul. Keep a diary of what you eat and who you meet, every day and write down how you feel that day. Then you will realize whom or what is making you lose your calmness. You deserve only peace in your life. Throw away anything or anyone that is taking away your peace.
I always listen to this with my eyes closed. This music has the power to take you into a trance, where you can imagine Lord Mahadev meditating, accompanied by the cosmic vibrations of the drumbeat, resonating with 'Om Namah Shivaya.
The continual sloshing sound of a flowing river reminds me of my youthful days in Kalayaan, Laguna where I enjoyed wading and playing with the small fishes and aquatic insects through the waters as my aunt was busy washing clothes by the riverbank. Then, when its time for bed, I could still feel the sensation of the flowing waters on my legs, as the crickets lull me to sleep. Happy memories indeed. :)
Everything is Shiva, holy and unholy. All are elements of Shiva for he's the purest form of darkness. Humanity has gone about eulogizing light only because of the nature of the visual apparatus that they carry. Otherwise, the only thing that is always, is darkness. Light is a limited happening in the sense that any source of light - whether a light bulb or the sun - will eventually lose its ability to give out light. Light is not eternal. It is always a limited possibility because it happens and it ends. Darkness is a much bigger possibility than light. Nothing needs to burn, it is always - it is eternal. Darkness is everywhere. It is the only thing that is all pervading.

I meant that we have to go "inward" to find the pure mind. The external world cannot help us.
I find the center of silence (like in prathyara). It is from that that I take refuge. I just follow the peace and not live in judgment with strong attachments.

I remember hearing this for the first time at my second PRIDE celebration in PDX a few years ago. One of my worst and best times so far in my life. There were a few people sitting in a drum circle chanting this on a patch of grass near the water front. I picked up one of their cards for their church instead of staying. I really considered joining them but my ego was very much in control back then. I'm so proud to say through my spiritual journey, I truly feel awoken and turn to this kind of meditative music when I need an extra boost in spirit

Marlene, sometimes we do not realize that certain foods can cause us to have anxiety and lose our calmness. o not realize that certain people can do the same to us. Especially if you happen to be a sensitive soul. Keep a diary of what you eat and who you meet, every day and write down how you feel that day. Then you will realize whom or what is making you lose your calmness. You deserve only peace in your life. Throw away anything or anyone that is taking away your peace.

I always listen to this with my eyes closed. This music has the power to take you into a trance, where you can imagine Lord Mahadev meditating, accompanied by the cosmic vibrations of the drumbeat, resonating with 'Om Namah Shivaya.
The continual sloshing sound of a flowing river reminds me of my youthful days in Kalayaan, Laguna where I enjoyed wading and playing with the small fishes and aquatic insects through the waters as my aunt was busy washing clothes by the riverbank. Then, when its time for bed, I could still feel the sensation of the flowing waters on my legs, as the crickets lull me to sleep. Happy memories indeed. :)

Everything is Shiva, holy and unholy. All are elements of Shiva for he's the purest form of darkness. Humanity has gone about eulogizing light only because of the nature of the visual apparatus that they carry. Otherwise, the only thing that is always, is darkness. Light is a limited happening in the sense that any source of light - whether a light bulb or the sun - will eventually lose its ability to give out light. Light is not eternal. It is always a limited possibility because it happens and it ends. Darkness is a much bigger possibility than light. Nothing needs to burn, it is always - it is eternal. Darkness is everywhere. It is the only thing that is all pervading.
