The atms should work more like a giftcard thing. A person can buy and gets a recipe with a unique code. Later at home they can then add at any time the code to their bitcoin wallet to receive their bitcoins.

Watch out for the selling price of Bitcoin on those machines, been buying and took a friend to show how to use the machine. Noticed the priced of 1 Bitcoin was $1760 Cdn, yet on Google the price was $1450, we went to another location, price was $1565 plus a fee, the ATM had frozen up, so we went to yet another ATM they were selling 1 Bitcoin for $2021

pguimond1507 yup you definitely have to pay attention to the fees. This machine has a 5% fee, while I think a lot of others in my city are 8%. Online exchanges are the most cost effective route if you don't care about giving up your personal information.
I would much prefer not giving my personal info, but I won't pay $2021 for a Bitcoin when the going rate is $1450.

Yeah it's crazy that you saw a machine selling for that high. I think the normal rate is anywhere between 5-8%, but that would've been 15-20%. I haven't seen a machine that high before. Where was it located?

A lot has changed since this video. Starting by 2021 KYC will be required over $1000/day in Canada.
I would say the machine in its current form is minimized KYC. If you have a burner phone then there is no other ID. The camera over the screen is security from cash theft.

To buy one bitcoin it costs $1820 CAD. To Sell one bitcoin you will get $1594 CAD. There's your spread. He lost money by showing this.
