    Characteristics of champions
    1) clear plan for success
2)champ welcomes challenges as means to learn and grow(because lot of becoming a champion is failure)
    3) champion produces normal and predictable performance in abnormal and unpredictable circumstances.
    4) champion rehersal success on daily basis physical+mental+emotional
    5) they value the process of success more than any perticular outcome (coz process is what is controllable and our ability to deal with it, outcome depends on what others are doing, don't look at score bord just play next play ie we are not worried about scorecard but We r worried about next turn in swimming)
    6) champion have a dream , dream is critical because thats wr it starts)
    7) dream ignites creative process
    8) no body can become best ever if they don't make a right decisions on daily basis
    9) dream is good but u got hv a plan ( coach role comes in), plan should be intense, start backwards from goals
    10) two types of goal a) long term 2) short term/immediate
    11) short term goal :- plan every day of 365 days, what ur going to do now thats wr rubber gets on road
    12) if you have an very good eye for goal setting and if you could specifically turn that in to training on daily basis you can predict what ur performance is going to be
    13) deliberate practice on mistake during final performance/daily practice
    14) learn best possible performance in worst possible condition
    15) daily confidance through daily visualization is key thing in tr repertoire (treasure/ability)
    16) following is more valuable than anything:->see the clear picture wr they want to go , set up plan how they want to get tr and on daily basis come and rehersal that success because that makes a champion .

Love the part where he stepped on and cracked Michael's goggles so he could train with water in them, as they both knew the goggles would inevitably fill up with water while swimming. "If you fail to plan, you plan to fail". They planned in depth, and they won. 🥇

    1. Champions have a plan
    2. Champions welcome chalanges..
    3. Champions reherse success on a daily basis
    4. Bob theory****The process is more important than outcome... ****.
    5. Champions have dream, that carry them at tough time, it is what get them start..
Dream ignites the creative process , if you have clear picture.
    6. Dream is good but you must have a plan... Goal setting then reverse engineer it..
Then making goals..smaller goals and achieving them
    .
Immediate goals what are you doing write now...
    7. Progress is about making decisions at time when you have cockies in your hand what will you do keep it in your mouth or keep it your table..

You have to have what it takes inside you to be a Champion… great coaches can take you to a totally different level. Start w a vision of being the best and then figure out what needs to be done daily to drive the end result. 1% improvements result in 300-400% growth from where you are in a short period of time. Champions don’t always win but they always reach their potential!!! Put your inner champion behind the wheel in your brain!!! Cheers!

I love how passionate he is about his job and how proud he is of his athletes. Great tips. I'm going to try to implement your advice and find an immediate goal where "rubber meets the road," i.e., a system of specific training that gets me closer to my exciting dream via achieving smart, daily goals. After all, what's the alternative? I've lived most of my life checked out with my head in the sand. Why not go for it, no matter how many times you've failed?

Bob Bowman, Marta and Bela Karolyi, "Wizard of Westwood"-Coach Wooden. Their common thread is similar: belief in themselves and instilling beliefs in their athletes'. They all have a : Yes, you can do it mentality!

  • @torres9378
    @torres9378 8 ปีที่แล้ว

That's strange: I am a swimmer and for the most important competitions you have your goals and your coach trains you as hard as he can and you are pushing as hard es you can. So if I said, i wanted to swim world records, i couldn't train harder. And that's what Bowman does: It seems like he was trained in a special way for beinv worlds best. So would he have trained Michael another way if he hadn't said what he wanted?
