You can pick up the otter in the beak of the argentavis and dismount the argentavis after landing with the otter in it's beak and feed it from there. It's actually really easy.

The deinosuchus rules over the rex any day. I'm actually breeding indo raptors for the megapithicas boss fight
im a sucker for the deinosuchus myself, they just seem to have weird hitboxes in asa like the sarco atm

That’s wack, it’s a mod it shouldn’t be allowed in a boss fight, both of the tames you mentioned
The Dire Bear 🐻 is my personal favorite tame in the game. They have very strong damage, decent health and high weight stats, a momentum based sprint for getting around very fast that drains stamina slowly so they can basically run fast all day, a bite attack that can be used at full sprint speed and a claw swipe that does higher damage with a much wider hit box that harvest an insane amount of berries and fiber and they can harvest bee hives without being attacked by bees. They are also easy to tame pretty early on. I’d argue their usefulness rivals that of Argentavis.

Someone know what setting is to can carry wild dinos with argentavis and others in host-local and singleplayer? And in oficial u can carry them or not to do my singleplayer better to do bosses for first time in asa
For the newer players. Here's some other really nice creatures that I personally recommend.
1.Sarco
Exells at speed and ignored by Piranhas.
By far the best choice as your first water mount.
2. Oviraptor because of their Changes in ASA. Oviraptors now pick up eggs when set to wander, and of course is a must have for breeding. Quicker gestation and Less time between mating.
More Melee=More Range.
They will still collect even when overburdened.
3. Dung beetle. Passively makes Fertilizer and some oil. Now collects poop automatically from any creature in a certain range. No wandering needed.
Melee=Range.
made the Phiomia pretty much obsolete.
4. Archelon if you have mods.
Amazing health and weight. THE Bio toxin gatherer. Of course immune to jelly's and Eels. Also quite easy to tame.
5. Gigantopithecus.
Less versatile than the Therizinosaurus. But the best at strictly farming fiber.
I agree with these guys except for the Saeco, ASA murdered it and it's super buggy when it comes to attacking stuff atm

yep you sure can :)
Am I blind or is the Theri not on this list? Seriously it can farm everything except For the things you need an Anky for and it can beat every boss on alpha difficulty.
Yet another list that the Archelon gets left off, y’all are sleeping on this underwater tank
I do like the archeleon but i feel like the tuso has more versatility
The dinos are either way too big now. And or the humans are hella small now 🤣
I like comparing all these to original ark hint vids on the island. Theyve really changed so little heh. Its just a cpl mods added in minus the other twenty I have heh. Ill buy it when they have maps and a full modding list heh. The island is sooo boring.
