Hearing Alexander Jean sing this last night at the Lindsey Stirling "Warmer in the Winter" concert was amazing. BC Jean singing this live was stunning. She has a beautiful voice and her husband plays the guitar beautifully. I have never heard Beyonce's version, but WOW, this song gave me goosebumps.
I saw her on ET tonight, Beyonce buying this song really gave her the means to be able to live her life. I really wish she could have released it herself, I look forward to BC's upcoming album.

What we ARE annoyed about is that you can't buy a copy of the original artist singing her own song. That's on Beyonce. I feel that protection for the buyer should not extend past 2 years.
BC Jean did not sell this song wittingly. She intended it to go on her own debut album, but the label went behind her back to give it to Beyonce and then dropped BC as an artist.
