I tackled a 110' ponderosa pine this summer in a very similar way. It had powerlines underneath the tree with the canopy spreading over two houses, so very small drop zone and a lean back over one of the houses. I approched it very much the same as you did this one using that "Jib" redirect technique, which i probably would not have thought of if i had not seen you do it in a earlier video. I can't tell you how many awesome tips and tricks ive picked up from your videos over the last couple years as i have ended up in the lead climber roll for the last couple companys ive worked for. Thank you August for sharing your knowledge and experience with us youngins. And that Buddle and Deliver technique is aweosme!! Gonna have to give that a try the next time i get the chance. Much Love and respect from a fellow climber up in BC, Canada.

Wow....Re notch-height, and "taller opening means the wood is more committed to the fall-direction when the notch closes, preventing/reducing any inaccuracies" F'ing LOVE it man!! When someone puts words to something you kinda know "by feel", damn man it was a treat watching this (Oh and "ermagerd....your notch is >25% deep!1!" lol ;D )
Will readily admit that, being away from TH-cam and from other fallers, I now realize consciously just how shallow my notches have become, seeing that beautiful notch at the end, man I wish I had a good pic of the too-shallow notch I did on an Oak on Monday, I *finished* the back-cut and it wouldn't fall - did pinch my bar though - ended up taking its tagline and attaching it to my hitch & pulling it over, thank god that was an option!!!
