Yes, definitely get her checked out by her pediatrician. When I was little, I had an undiagnosed UTI. It got so bad that I ended up in the hospital with sepsis. Best to get it checked out before something little becomes a bigger health issue.
My daughter kept complaining of back pain, and it ended up being a urinary tract infection. She had no other symptoms. Maybe do a urinalysis for Layla.
And uti tests are available at walmart
It could also be kidneys which is why it’s a good idea to see your pediatrician if it remains consistent even after trying some things at home
I agree with @Lo Lo It's best to take her to the pediatrian as soon as you can get her in. This truly isn't something that shouldn't be second guessed. Besides, it's always good to have peace of mind and a prayer 🙏 for her on top!👍🙏✝️👑🔥❤️

Definitely could be a urinary tract infection, my daughter also only gets lower back pain when she has them. And when I was younger that was A sure tale sign for me also.
Something to think about for Layla’s back pain… Kidney issues can present there. Could she have a kidney infection or something? It might not be a bad idea to go to the pediatrician. Prayers for all of you!❤️🙏🏻

I am SO happy you went to the 'special' neurologist! I did this myself and my life has completely changed. The Migraines kicked my butt. I went through the whole heart tests and such and I was checked for epilepsy and finally migraines! I would have them where folks thought I was having a stroke. I couldn't talk my face drooped, my body went numb and down I went. It was awful. But it was severe migraines! I was put on medicine and praise the Lord, I haven't had any 'bad' ones in a year. I'll get a 'headache' but none of the symptoms of the 'other' stuff. 3 IB will cover it for me now! I will continue to pray for your healing and getting answers! On another note, you need to watch a youtube clip of "Les Nessman" and his "Office" (WKRP). That's EXACTLY what I was thinking of when you were setting up your new "office space!'🤣 And Zack slapping his feet up on the desk...hysterical!
Continued best wishes during your search for answers! My daughter has had chronic migraine disease for six years which took over two years to be diagnosed, and our specialist told us it takes a *long* time to get under control. As a mom I implore you to have all the tests; you never know which one could be the winning choice in discovering what you need. Your sweetness and kindness to each other and your children is a beautiful thing for all of us to see. That love you share will support you every step of the way. ❤️

Omgosh, the same thing happened to my husband. We had to go the ER and he had to have 9 staples. Glad yours wasn’t bad.

My husband experiences complicated migraines that present as epilepsy. Finding answers is definitely taxing and scary! We will pray for you both as you continue to take care of each other and walk this road.
Yes, the scalp/head is very vascular meaning a great blood supply. Glad you just have a little wound. And, as a nurse, I agree with lady peach as have seen these symptoms & causes in other children. Blessings to you 4! 🤗

I cut my head open, and it bled some much. I thought for sure I was going to die. For real though. It sounds like the doctors are finally getting to the real source of your problem. Hey Carlin! So glad your feeling better & starting to get answers. I really wonder if changing your diet could help. Health starts with healing & nourishing your gut. I used to be on a laundry list of meds for a laundry list of conditions & sick most of my life. Going gluten free & eating pretty clean & even going low tox in my life has healed a good bit of my health issues. I’m off ALL meds which is HUGE for me. I’m feeling better than I ever have. Most doctors don’t have much nutritional training & won’t suggest making these changes but are often shocked at how big of an effect nutrition can have on the body. Something to look into. A 30 day gluten detox can tell you a lot. I used to gave daily headaches & multiple a week migraines & now I have a migraine maybe ever 2-3 months. Prayers continued for you & now for Layla.

We go to the same church. I had Layla in nursery that Sunday ❤ she wore my necklace the entire time. Love her cute personality.
Something to think about with Layla, my daughter complained about her lower back hurting for a while they kept saying growing pains. Her pain progressed to her legs and she was having a hard time walking long distance. After 5 months going back and forth with her peds they referred her to a specialist (rheumatologist) and turns out she had Juvenial idiopathic arthritis at age 3. She is now under medication and seems to be doing better.

As a flight nurse-mom.... the 1st thing I would check for your beautiful baby girl is urinary tract health. Such a common problem, yet most of us fail to just get a UA. A relatively easy problem to fix. Little girls are notorious for urinary problems. Definitely the first thing on my list. Y'all have a blessed day!

Thank God things worked out the way they did. My migraines caused my seizures as it was found out (after 3 years) and finally the 5th Neurologist (the BEST) figured it all out. And Carlins brother Zack deserves a great BIG thank you for being there when they need him. ❤Zack❤ God Bless You 🙏🏼

Y'all should record your dr appointments in your voice memo app or something so that you can pull it back up and remember everything they told you! It has helped me SO much because my memory is so bad. Glad you are safe Carlin!

Carlin & Evan I'm excited you have been feeling better with your new meds. One of the meds I take to control my migraines is Topimax it is used for epilepsy too!😊 also when we were potty training our daughter would complain about sore back and we found out she was constipated.. thru ultrasound

My epilepsy is triggered by changes in my hormone levels, so during my cycle I’m more likely to have issues. I tend to have grand mal seizures but It also brings along headaches, tiredness and pins and needles all over my head, among various other things during that time. It took along time to diagnose so keep on going even when it feels futile, you will get there albeit slower than you’d like x
We live in Knox and had a VERY similar problem with our daughter. Her back hurt for years and the doc called it ‘growing pains.’ It took years to diagnose and was way more serious than I ever expected! I hope Layla’s back pain improves. I would be happy to share more details with you. Our doctor, diagnosis, treatment etc. I just don’t like to say too much on social media. Blessings to your sweet family.

I have never had seizures, but migraines are terrible! I have a neurostimulator for the pain, and my doctor is in Nashville. I am so much better, mostly pain free after living in constant pain. Hang in there and don't give up!

Poor Layla girl! Usually with my kid’s growing pains are pretty intense and subside after a while. And usually it’s their legs, feet, arms. Don’t ignore that mama instinct. It’s definitely a real thing. Maybe a new car seat will help her though! Maybe she’s also saying this because she sees mama hurting at times. Little ones don’t know how to navigate emotions like that yet. Just a thought. Sending well wishes and good vibes to your sweet little fam 😊
Personally about Layla, I'd def get her check. I've learned to follow my mom gut. My daughter was 4 and I thought appendicitis and argued with a Dr for 7hrs in a hosp to get her scan just to be sure. She was comfy in the hosp after being in ER they thought for poss start of pneumonia. Just before leaving she screamed in pain, I went to find Dr cause he didn't want to do a scan cause of the dye at a young age. Dr came back and said he should listen to mom gut. Thankfully it was done, appendix ruptured as it was taken out. If you feel something is off,go with it. Like you said she is complaining about it when it wasn't even in the seat. Our mom gut is a really good resource to follow. It's helped so often when my older kids were lil(now adults) and now with my 2yr old. Who finally last wk, Dr ordered a CBC after I insisted it being done and found out she has extreme low WBC,body doesn't fight infections and germs,so gets sick all the time. Follow your gut girl!

I learned the hard way on irons overhead. I was putting hot iron on a shelve away from my dogs. Fell off hitting my chest area leaving 2nd degree burn. stay safe from irons.

I would have her pediatrician check her out. I would ask for him to order a urinalysis for her . Also, make sure she is going number 2 regularly. Constipation can cause back pain. Absolutely there was a time when my son was 3 years old he was complaining it hurt when he urinated! I took him to the doctort thinking its a UTI and come to find out my aon had strep throat! Apparently strep is lond of like mumps and others that will dropped to thr testicles!
Our daughter at the same age would say this exact thing. And we couldn’t figure it out either. Took her to the pediatrician and orthopedic doctor…for us, it was constipation and a Miralax regimen helped! I know what it’s like to wonder why they are saying this and it’s scary to not know because they are old enough to say it bothers them, but they aren’t really specific behind that. I hope you figure her issue out. 🙏🏼

Evan I feel you so much on your panic. My son split his head open last year and there was sooo much blood. I panicked and also called an ambulance, by the time they got to my house it had stopped bleeding and ended up needing a few staples :(.
Definitely get her tested for a UTI! Rest is so important, if kids are restin, they say momma should too but I don't see why daddy can't join! Down time is so important 🙂
My son, right before he turned 3, had the same thing! Started with complaining in the car seat and then he would wake up at night as well. Always his lower back. Started running random fevers too. Ended up taking him to Denver children's hospital and he stayed a week... ruled out lots of scary stuff but never found out what was wrong. My parents flew out to us and brought a handkerchief anointed by our preacher and he never complained again! We went home the next day... it was tough never getting a diagnosis but at the same time I'm just so thankful and blessed it wasn't anything worse! We ended up switching car seats too and even did some physical therapy just to make sure!
I feel you Carlin I have been dealing with a lot of health problems currently sitting in the emergency room as I have been dealing with severe stomach pain it gets so bad that I throw up from the pain so hopefully I can get some answers
