Love this clip!! One of my favorite topic of the Romanov family is the Tsar's 4 daughters, or the OTMA!! The OTMA were beauties!!

They were beautiful and pure. Tatiana and Maria were noted beauties but Olga’s beauty is sublime which perfectly reflected her compassion and humanity.
    by
Semen Pavlovich Pavlov - a wounded soldier nursed by Olga at the hospital
“Grand Duchess Olga, was like the Emperor. The Emperor never visited the hospital: He was at the front. But the Grand Duchess Olga was like the Emperor, the Princess said, her blue eyes that the emperor was a man of exceptional kindness and gentleness of his heart.
Grand Duchess Olga was a slender girl of medium height, very proportioned and surprisingly feminine. All her movements are soft and elusive grace. And her eyes, quick and timid, and her smile, fleeting - , - gave an enchanting impression. Especially the eyes. Big-big, blue, turquoise color of the Urals, burning soft radiant shine and pull.”
From the memoirs of Dorothy Seymour a representative from Anglo-Russian Hospital who had an audience with the Empress and Olga just before the Revolution in 1917
“Pretty eyes. Nice little thing, very pleasant and informal’, recalled Dorothy. They sat and talked for almost two hours, at the end of which she came away impressed by Olga’s spirituality and sensitivity. She was ‘evidently a pacifist, and the war and its horrors [were] on her nerves’. “

Jamás ha habido niños reales en ninguna dinastía con más belleza que estos príncipes

Thank goodness we have so many pics that were taken of the Romanovs otherwise there would little evidence of their lives for future generations. The composition of these pics is superb , but it's a shame the family always looked serious and wooden. This I think is because early cameras had slower shutter speeds than modern cameras and the subjects would need to be still.

Some very rare photos in this video which I haven't seen before- I like the one near the end where it looks like Anastasia is saying something, her mother is waiting to hear what she says and Olga, Tatiana and Maria are like "oh God what's she gonna come out with now?" let's face it she was rather famous for it!
Has anyone else noticed just how many photos there are of the Imperial family together somewhere and the Tsarevich Alexei is nowhere to be seen?
Those four young ladies were equally unbelievably beautiful in their own different ways. They did look a bit wooden and serious on alot of photos but there's just as many photos where they're obviously having fun and figuratively letting their hair down.
    Great video anyway.

The looking serious and wooden was the proper attitude in photography in its early days. I’m thinking of Matthew Brady’s Civil War photographs as one example. It was the norm back then. I would imagine even more so with royals. Their position in the world pretty much demanded it.
