I really liked Leech but I can absolutely see it not being for everyone, it did take it a bit of time for it to click for me though.i need to read more Tremblay alhough getting physical copies is not as easy where i am as i would like like.Overall looks like a pretty good month bud.

Leech was well-written, but it just wasn't clicking with me. Have you read any Tremblay? I recommend 'A Head Full of Ghosts' as it has been my favorite by him. Sorry for the late response, I have fallen WAY behind on comments. ;p Thanks for watching! :)

@Man-With-a-Hat-Who-Reads haha it's all good, Leech was an odd one, it took me some time to click. I have read a couple of shorts by Tremblay but not a full book yet, I want to next year

I have Like Death in my shelf and after hearing some of the things in it I feel good unhauling that one. Not content I am okay with. I DNF'd Leech because I was really confused by what was going on. I loved Dead Eleven.

Yeah, I cannot in good faith recommend Like Death. It just...was icky at times, and not really worth going through for the payoff in my opinion. Dead Eleven was so good!! Thanks for watching! :)

I actually started Boy's Life earlier this year and was enjoying it, but I got distracted by something. Can't remember what. Knowing me, something shiny may have drifted by on the breeze. But once I go four or five days without reading something, it ain't gettin' finished. I'll have another go at it eventually though.
The idea of puppets living in the walls sounds absolutely horrifying. And I'm not sure I've read anything that King's published in this millenium. Doesn't sound like that collection will be the convincer.
Regarding Dr. Jeckyll and Mr. Hyde: A while back, I read a nonfiction biography of John Hunter, the anatomist and surgeon who was supposedly Stevenson's inspiration for Dr Jeckyll. Ironically enough, the details in that book about the late 18th century procurement of cadavers for medical instruction, and the experimental advance of anesthesia free surgery in a pre germ theory era were far more horrific than anything in that novel.
Sounds like an interesting reading month. Have a good one!

I really wanted to get to Boy's Life this year, as I have heard nothing but good things about it. It can be so easily to get distracted on reading though. I never used to have that problem, but it seems to be happening more often lately. :P
If you want a good King book from this millennium, try 'Revival.' I really liked it, and it is one of my favorites I have read by him.
The John Hunter book sounds intriguing!! I might have to look into that one at some point. As if I don't have enough to read. ;p
      Thanks for watching! :)

Seems like you had a hit or miss month. Oh Sesame Street book! That does sound like a nice chill book. Stephen King…if he could be trusted with the animals maybe we could be friends.
Hunter of Evil?! Love the cover! It looks like a great time, glad it lived up to it. But typos?! That’s just rude!
Coil part 2?! Instead of chins, they had youngsters 🤮
Awesome review!! Hope you have better luck next month!

Hunter of Evil just needed a once over on the proofreading. The cover was fantastic though. And November was also more up and down, but you know that already. Just so far behind on comments. lol Thanks for watching! :)

@ I get that one! Typos aren’t the worst, but they are frustrating! And it’s easy to get behind on comments when the notifications get buried! No worries! 😊
