I have 2 requests lol (And sorry if youve already filmed what im going to ask for) 1. Can you film a video sharing how you decide what to pay yourself vs. what goes back into the business. 2. Can you create some playlists of your videos? Like one that is all hauls and one that is all shipping? I just wanted to ask because I'm interested in learning more from you!
i love how you are so methodical about placing things exactly back where they came from and also throwing away the little pealy things from the boxes (I do that too - i cant stand having them pile up in my work space!!)
Shipping videos are so genius. This covers you for any issues that might otherwise be impossible to prove! All resellers should do this! I love your videos too! All of them. I’ve learned so many clothing terms from you it’s not even funny.
I love these videos. You've completely changed the way I ship, I used to do everything in clear plastic bags now I wrap everything in paper and am still getting great feedback! And it's nicer I think.
Great sales! Would love to see tutorial videos of your behind the scenes stuff…for example taking photos, general listing info, preparing items for photos, etc. Also, why does your post office have any issue with you bringing in so many packages? Would it be easier if you scheduled a pickup? Thanks!
Love you ship with me videos! Question: do you wash your items from the bins before shipping items to customers? Or do you do anything about the thrift-y smells that some garments have?
That mental block you're talking about is 100% me too... a lot of my friends don't understand why I wear the same things over and over when I'm constantly shopping LOL
It's funny when you say you have to put up a mental block when sourcing...because I have to try and put up a mental block when watching your hauls! I remind myself "I am watching for education"...then inevitably, I will head over to your store, haha! Lucky/unlucky for me, all the things I want are sold by the time I get there. 😉
Assorted Brands means that there is a clear brand tag or mark, but the person entering the item doesn’t recognize the brand. ThredUP’s evaluators have to process pieces very quickly, which means they often don’t take the time to research unfamiliar pieces. If there isn’t a brand mark, or the brand mark is illegible the piece will be placed in unbranded.
Just so you know you calculated your cost of goods wrong on the cost. 1lb 15oz is basically 2lb. Not 1.15. That could really throw your cost of goods off. Hope this helps! :)
I can completely relate to what you were talking about with looking at all clothes that you source with resale in mind. I am exactly the same way! It’s funny because every now and then, I’ll look at an item as I am sharing my closet and I’ll think, that’s really cute! Not even thinking that it’s right here in my PM rooms nd I could go try it on if I wanted. Haha!
New to your channel but I have been selling on Poshmark for a few years. I don't have much of an inventory because most of my items are pre-warned that I bought for myself. I can't believe you find NWT items at your Goodwill! I have never found anything at any of our thrift stores that I could probably resell.
Great sales and video as usual 😊 Do you find that a specific number of active listings makes a major difference in how many sales you make? Do you strive to list a specific number of items every day? I've heard people being specific to listing 3 items each day to be consistent for the algorithms of Poshmark. I would love to see a video about all these random things 😅
I've been trying to list 150 per week but its been closer to half that haha. I dont think there's any magic number, just as long as youre listing in-demand items consistently!
That just freaks me out about your post office! I had planned to ask you what time do you go to the bins but it sounds like you’re there when it opens. Right?your inventory is just amazing! Out of curiosity what percentage of this shipping haul was S or XS? I just hate to pick up small pieces but XS just seems impossibly small! Thanks for your videos. I also wanted to say that it’s very nice for your boyfriend to help you. My husband doesn’t and won’t help me at all, and he’s retired. All he can say is, “Why would anyone want to buy that?” I guess “it’s a labor of love.”
I’m so sorry girl he sounds like a jerk. Any person in your life should be encouraging you to grow, not to judge but you are going to do better if you are encouraged and supported!
XS items sell for me, but I always think they won't because I agree they look SO small! My husband doesn't help me at all either, with reselling or with the house work, or yard work, or with the dogs 🤣🤣 And because of covid affecting his factory, (no parts), he's home most of the time. But I will say, comments like "who would want to buy that" definitely start to dwindle and change to respect when you're making great money, right?
@@jasminemariedarling of course, I just want to acknowledge and tell Thrifty M. that she is so lucky to have a wonderful boyfriend who is supportive of her work. Not only that, her family including her grandma also provide a strong circle of support as well. It’s just so nice to see.
As u mentioned "mental block on shopping for yourself while sourcing" ....I seriously struggle with that....Someone could write a how-to therapy book on how to manage it...
Are you not worried about moths munching on your wool items on hangers? I bag all my clothing and keep them in clear boxes and it’s mostly out of fear of moths. Have found holes in a couple of my own wool items after they were left out for a few days. Maybe they’re not common in Texas. I’m in the UK.

This weekend at the greenspoint bins I found a ysl bag, a fendi bag, and a miu miu bag. They seem authentic to me, all early 2000s styles but I don’t have much experience with designer stuff lol

Well her sales are through the roof and her buyers are happy so I’m guessing the way she folds isn’t a detouring factor, besides I feel like shipping being priority with posh moves my items so fast when they sell that they don’t have time to wrinkle in the mail.
