Absolutely love the video guys an thanks for letting me be in the vid with the side by side. Sadly didn’t get to catch ya for a wolftick sticker but definitely next time!!
Thanks for the input man, I like it too but kind of seems like the speed does not come across well, but I think it will be the chain cam when I wear the helmet now! Thanks
Hope you guys find some use for them! I can't believe how well this Axum DP is performing right out of the box. Can't wait to see what you have in store with the fork!
For sure man! Thanks a bunch for the pedals Cody D! We are looking forward to riding with hem brother, see what all the fuss is about LOL. Bike is sweet and def needs a fork!
That trail looks wicked fun. Chest cam would be good for tricks and jumps, chin cam is awesome for trail view. I'm glad you guys like the knives. There's some new brakes on the way for the red Schwinn. Looking forward to unveiling new stickers.
Oh man that is awesome, we were just talking about some brakes tonight as a matter of fact!! CRAZY:) Now JUST WAIT TILL YOU SEE THE STICKERS!!!! #WOLFTICKNATION BABY LOL:) Let us know when you get them!!
Hahaha that's awesome man. Funny story, a while back we had a small, I mean really small podcast for a minute. That short time doing a podcast made me want to do a TH-cam channel and now here we are. I never thought of it feeling like a podcast atmosphere but now that you mention it...😂👍
Roy should be able to get an internal dropper in that frame, just loop the housing around the bb when he goes to a hollowtech and have it go into that bottom opening to the internal routing and out the front derailleur boss at the top.
This was so great guys it’s really fun to try to listen to you talk while you’re going down these massive incredibly fast hills but you do a great job of a dude!!!!
Hahaha thanks man! It has been something that has taken some practice. Sometimes when re-watching the footage it's like what was I talking about, but then I realize it was the Adrenalin talking hahaha.
19:16 keep in mind that if the rear derailleur has some play, leaning bike over like this might result in change how the rearderaileur shifts, as it might sag in more, or lean the other way it might sag out more. but when this happens the rear derailleur is close to needing to be replaced.
The chin mount is better than the chest mount, the natural stabilization of your head helps with the camera view. Your natural tendency to keep your head level is way cheaper than buying a gimbal
Thanks for the input man, I like it too but kind of seems like the speed does not come across well, but I think it will be the chain cam when I wear the helmet now! Thanks John!
9 out of 10 people say my name incorrectly, well congratulations Jeremiah you nailed it! With so many aftermarket wheelsets coming with front thru-axle and rear QR that adapter should keep your options open so you can swap wheelsets around. Nice real time review, the brakes on my Axum sucked too!
HA HA Thanks brother:) 10 out of 10 people misspell my name and you NAILED IT!! LOL The adapters will keep us from spending extra man, thank you for that very much and very thoughtful brother:) Glad you enjoyed the review and I had such a blast with it! HYDRAULIC COMING SOON.....
I love you channel! Recently came across it and i have been watching all your vids. Love seeing bikes that most can afford! Just picked up a ledge x2 from my local Walmart! Can’t wait to upgrade. Thanks for all your hard work!
Well Scott, welcome to the #wolfticknation, so happy you found us man. Thanks for the comment and I cannot believe you found an x2!!! That's awesome, when you start upgrading send some pics to viewersrides@yahoo.com and it might get selected!! Later Brother
I'm 5'8 and the M Axum is all up in my junk. I guess I just have stubby legs lol. The barrel end also came off of my dropper post but that's an easy fix. Good to know that it can upgrade with me and still be a very capable bike.
Ha ha I guess your legs are pretty short! Lol the bike is a monster dude, gotta shorten the cable to the dropper and a little here and there. All in all a good buy!
The Schwinn Axum DP Medium Frame performed the way I was expecting it too. Nice bike for the money starting out. It is definitely worth upgrading! Great video as usual!
That Haze Creek Run trail looks hella fun! I got out on the trail again yesterday, and I didn't crash this time! It was really muddy though so I was being cautious. I still think I need some more upgrades and practice before I'll be confident enough to really send it on a black diamond trail
Always great content! Your channel is 1 of those I recommend for "newbies" not wanting to spend too much when getting into mtb. Of course I point out that your riding skill has a lot to do with these bikes working too.
Hahaha thanks! I do think that I have got better at riding but these bikes aren't as bad as the bike snobs try to make them out to be either. Regardless thank you for the ego boost😄👍.
@@WOLFTICKVIDEOS now I do have to say that a bike with better components is definitely nicer to ride! But yeah, I hate when people discourage others getting into the sport about the big box store bikes. Not everyone has thousands to throw into a new sport (and I'm one who does have crazy expensive bikes but always try to encourage others to just get out there and will help with foundation skills, etc)
@Brandi Hodges Oh yeah for sure! Our totally upgraded bikes are waayyy better and funner to ride over a stock budget bike for sure. Our whole feelings are get a bike that don't put you in debt, upgrade as you get better and as you can afford it, enjoy guilt free. Thanks for the support👍
Dang!! Those are some sweet knives. Nick out did me LOL no competing with him. Well done! Great Video! Still waiting on the "Dangle Berry" chain tensioner lol as soon as its ready I'll get it to you.
No worrys man! The knives are bad and yours will always be used for MAILTIME! LOL So dont worry ha ha its the thought that really counts man. Appreciate you tuning in brother, looking forward to the dingle berry!!! LOL! Later PARKER PRODUCTIONS!
@@WOLFTICKVIDEOS yes, im 64 yrs old so u can imagine I've ridden many a bicycle in my time. Growing up mountian bikes were not around that I know of. Stingrays were the thing, have had several walmart mountian bikes in the last 5 years but nothing right now, but in the market, im not extreme biker but like quality even though I wont be doing anything extreme, I was leaning g toward the schwin Boundry, and saw your review of it. In your opinion is that a good bike?
@@WOLFTICKVIDEOS I love it. I’m Already doing upgrades That medium frame fits me so well. I accidentally ordered a BUCKLOS fork with a thru axle. Is there any way to make that work with the factory wheel?
I couldn't find the Acolytes derailleur myself, so I went with the 10 spd MicroSHIFT Advent X derailleur and cassette instead. That's gonna go on soon 👍
@@WOLFTICKVIDEOS I will let y'all know how it is. It was challenging to find everything for the 10 spd. I would see it listed at random times and then be taken down or I'd even get a message saying it was actually out of stock. Need to get a 1x Crankset next to complete the next project.
I really enjoy your videos, just found your channel recently and have went back and watched some older vids. These big-box stores "budget" bikes have come a long ways recently, allowing more people to be able to try Mountain Biking without breaking the bank.
The Trek has big differences, they are not similar, dropout design is fery different, the chainstay-seststay design and weld, and then the seat tube reinforcement, and tube shapes. But I i don't know if quality is the same, I had very bad experience with Trek, bad tolerances in head tubes, and various other issues. Basically frames thst should not have passed quality control. It would not surprise me if it's worse than Schwinn, or if it's similar. I can only know by measuring, and of course a obvious one is to see damage in head tube after removal of headset. Also checking welds, is a good idea, also bb shell to see if the bb shell is deformed or threads are misaligned. Sadly frames that cost trise or 20 times more from so called high end boutique brands can be worse in quality, like Kingdom titanium frame Hambini inspected, and Trek road bike frame with deformed bb shell. My old 2010 Trek 3900 disc with banged up bb shell thst was painted over, too big and uneven head tube hole resulting in headsrt movement.anf a wall of aluminium being created inside. 2010 trek 6300 bottom of headtube rear wall was not flush, hole was ovalized slightly enough to make install tight. These ate just osme examples. I will stop now and not write pages long list of everything that is wrong with every frame I know of that has issues.
@@WOLFTICKVIDEOS got some red raceface pedals coming for you too. You need to coordinate. Mushroom belt....mushroom jacket! Wolf should get that one! Gonna be out of the country when you get these for my 50th birthday but I'll be watching!
OH PAUL! You are too good to us brother:) It gonna be SWEET! LOL Very cool of you man, Dad says he doesnt believe he has watched it ll the way thru but has def fell asleep to it a few times! LOL Hope your trip goes well and we will see you when they get here man!! Thanks for getting our backs Paul:) HAPPY BIRTHDAY MAN!
LOL Thanks Stew, sucks you did not even get to ride it! Man that is a bummer, ours surprisingly held up! Appreciate the comment and the love man, see you FRIDAY!
@@WOLFTICKVIDEOS See this is a topic up for discussion. Everybody talks about how the bike shifts out of the box. I worked at a shop for years and never once tried anything new right away. I started adjusting, if the adjustments were correct then left alone but I never gave it a shot to shift right out of the box.
Your findings are about like mine were aside from tires and that could come down to different soil types of our trails.. I didn't care for the stock tires unless it was smooth hardpack. Brakes were awful. I actually like the AXE drive train, I just wrapped a tube around the chainstay to quiet it down lol. I think what you are feeling may not be cable drag but drag in the seat post itself. Mine is not smooth feeling at all going down tho it still functions properly after a year. My pinch barrel on the cable hasn't been an issue but I do not like that set up on dropper posts either. I like the cable anchor to be at the lever, not at the post. The bike does handle very well. I was really surprised at that as well. You can tweak all the other things you may not like but you are stuck with the frame geometry so that alone makes this a worthy buy. Good video and the bike looked very good going down the trail.
I think the helmet cam is better than the chest but if you got a gimbal for the chest mount it would be about the same. Now you need to do a shoot out between the al comp and that medium axum to see if 27.5 is better than that 29er.
Jeremiah, glad to see you finally riding a bike that fits you. I give you credit for riding the 19” frames. Goes to show how important frame size is. I threw a leg over the Taff when I was shopping for a bike. I have a 33” inseam and my jewels were resting on the bar. I figured That was a recipe for disaster. Needless to say, I passed on the Taff. I like the chin cam. Hope you keep that in future vids. Thanks for the great content!
For sure man, thanks for the information!! LOL Big bike for sure, appreciate the input as well on camera views man, we will play with them:) Thanks Craig!
Bought an Ascension because of you guys👌🏻 got lots of upgrade plans for it, keep crushing the content! PS: would you consider reviewing the PNW handlebars?
Man thats awesome! Such a good clean bike man. We are fans lol now the one bars if they are budget enough we will look into them man, we like to spend around $30 or less for bars. Thanks for commenting and good luck on the build!!
You are 100% right...the DP paddle is sketchy... but so far it's been working fine. I made sure the DP tip (end of the wire/cable) I used mini allen wrenches to make sure it was tight!
@Chris Horbatt-Man we do as well and are so grateful for our supporters out there. Very awesome, also I agree with clutches all in how you ride, the axum needs one!
I don't think they tighten the lad end on the dropper post cable at the post mine came off as well I put it back on adjusted it and tightened it and have not had one single issue they should really warn you about that
Both camera views are good. But nice thing about chest cam is seeing how much bike is really moving around. You should look into getting help from someone and staging cameras along trail to catch you flying over or around different features.
Yeh man that would be nice, we are on a tight schedule most of the time and riding while trying to film( with a buddy) is near impossile. But good ideas man:) Thanks Kenny! Appreciate the input
The microshift acolyte with the spring lock was available on eBay. The guy had 9 and they sold out in less than 8 hours. I got lucky randomly searching one morning and have the whole acolyte groupset on the way.
We just ordered the AXUM DP (M) tonight. I might mullet this bike so my wife can ride it. I've got her GT Aggressor Pro upgraded minus the fork and bars. Everything else has been swapped out. If she does like the AXUM more, then I'll be swapping everything (minus the BB) over to the AXUM. GT upgrades are the MicroShift complete drive train, 2.6 tubeless tires (Agarro on the front and Trail King on the back), and a PNW external 110mm dropper w/ PNW loam lever. Your vids have helped every step of the way.
I put shimano deore 4 piston on my Axum. Those the the 6000 series, they make a 5000 series that is also 4 piston and honestly looks the same besides some cosmetic difference.
would like to see a side by side with the Acension seeing as how that frame is touted as having a 1/2 lower top tube. Regardless, Schwinn really must drop the standover on all of these bikes... ALComps, Acensions, Boundarys, Tafts, Axums... all these need a re-design to give us a straight line from head to tail. Love chin cam... nice view, natural head/neck gimble and without noodle arms!
So my schwinn project bike was finally delivered by fedex today got it all tore down to nothing but the frame and dropper post but holy hell....I swear they had a silverback gorilla tighten the drive side bottom bracket! My bb tool was useless, if I had a pipe wrench I'm sure that would of worked. But ended up cutting a notch and using a hammer and screwdriver to knock it loose...
Thank you guys for making these videos. I’m not able to ride or do much of anything because I have another back surgery coming up and these videos give me something else to look forward too. You guys need to get some t shirts made I’d proudly rock one !!
Well Jacob thank you for watching us man, its cool to hear you cherish our channel somewhat and we can do a good enough job to make you wanna get out there! Thank you and why don't you email us so we can get some stickers sent your way!
Hahaha thanks man! I think when I use the full face I will run that camera angle instead of the chesty, just to mix it up. The medium frame is so much better for me.👍
My wife's Schwinn AL comp didn't have internal dropper capability either until I just drilled a hole in the seat tube to route the dropper cable up into it. Drilled it at an little angle and filed it out till the cable fit in and BOOM! internal dropper on her bike. I bought external for mine and it wasn't until *after* that when I figured out.. hmm could I just drill a hole? Doesn't seem like it will affect frame durability at all
NICE MAN! I wanted to do that to the GT for so long!! LOL DAD SAID " Son! Not a damn chance, that is going to F up your frame!!! " LOL Glad it worked for your wifes ride and hope to oneday drill a frame completely!!
Got everything installed with the acolyte groupset. Made the same jump in that video I sent you and the chain snapped into pieces... 1st ride with it on. So good ride cuz I cleared that jump but bad cuz I broke my chain
17 inches, most bikes will have short seat tube, so that's not really relevant measurment, but reach, stand over height is, stand over height is what you showed at 0:12, it's measured from ground to centre of top tube. on my g1 it's about 82cm
@@WOLFTICKVIDEOS wheelbase: it can change if you swap forks, like fork drop outs can have different offset, so can frok crown. BB height will raise with longer travel fork, and head angle will get slacker, seat tube will too, but you can still have a fork that keeps the geo the same and have more travel, as you already know some forks only move few cm, like 60 mm when fork looks like a 100mm. Then there is bb drop, which is how far the bb is dropped below the rear axle, yes rear cus mullet bikes can have bigger front wheel.
@@WOLFTICKVIDEOS pedal thickness and shoe sole thickness can make a big difference on the cockpit setup, and top tube clearance while on the bike, saddle height too. So I never use different height shoes. And keep same pedals on the bike. But most pedals are are about the same thickness now.
the lever thing might be just friction in the lever pivot, and play. but I think it's a good idea to check if it's installed properly. also it might have a kinked wire and cable. and I always prefer the wire end block to be at the dropper post, not the remote. and not use a barrel clamp at dropper post. not fun having to have wire loosen cus of bolt loosened from the barrel. I have BikeYoke Divine dropper post. So I swapped it and installed it the wrong way intentionally after I installed it correctly first, and it loosened during a short ride in sub zero temps., yes it had Loctite 243 but it did not help.
thank you for sharing.... NOW I KNOW I have to be 20 years younger to try a black diamond trail!!!! What the trail for senior citizens with lower back problems? Serious question! No Joke!
HA HA!! LOL HECTOR!! Now if you are talking about Mount Nebo def ride the 3 C's trail atop the mountain. It goes form Sunrise point to Sunset point-its fast and flowy, green trail but very fun:)
that is nice looking bike, and it's going to look even better. regarding the brakes, it seems like pads and rotor are contaminated. maybe someone spilled something greasy on it in the store. Also, mechanical disk brakes (for me) have tendency to get "loose" in the rougher terrain, so I have to screw in the fixed pad (inner pad, toward the hub). especially if pads are bit worn. as for the camera, I like chin one better. for some reason, chest mounted one gives me nausea, just too much blur. maybe if you point it out up a little bit, not just down the bars. or am just tired, who knows :) great video guys. keep em coming!
Appreciate the info man, we are going to clean them up and take a look:) Now the camera I kinda agree with you. little hard to appreciate the trail but I like that it shows the grips and everything else, who knows maybe a helmet cam way up!! :) Thanks Mario
Just recommended and assembled a beautiful blue Axum DP, thanks to your videos, for one of the kids' friends. Compares really favorably against a similarly priced Trek Marlin 4 and looks great! Ax drivetrain worked okay. That dang dropper cable, though...I had to install a new one because the ferrule wasn't tight enough and popped off inside the frame. What a PITA. 😅
Man that seems to be everyones biggest complaint!! LOL Including ours!! The dang dropper was so freaking hard to get installed:) But finally got it. Sucks you had to install a new setup. Very cool of you to help out though man.
Dang it I’m at work and the captions haven’t loaded on the video yet! I noticed that same difference between medium and large frames in that top tube though. Medium frames look a little sicker imo because of it 👍
🤣 How do they deal with our captions when we are talking over each other and all of the chicken noises. I never thought about captions hahaha. Thanks man👍
Chin Cam for sure! Had me clinching my butt cheeks the whole ride, waiting for a crash! The angle made it look like you were flying down the trail and the video was smooth. Vist the pharmacy for lube, had me rolling!
LOL hope you checked out the affiliate links!!HA HA oh and I got to send you some speaking of which! Thanks for the input on the cams man, I like the chest for the cockpit view and the chin to see the entire trail...I dot know its gonna take some time getting use to that angle LOL Thanks David!
what kind of saddle bag is that, I've been thinking of getting one too. i saw that one and saw that it fit the saddle so perfectly, and now I want that for my AXUM.
Hey brother it is a speedsleev. I love it and its pretty budget considering what t it is:) Only straps to the seat so it is completely out of the way when it comes to droppers!! Here is an affiliate link and would love if you used it:) Thanks man SPEEDSLEEV ebay.us/TVn8XB
Awesome bike & ride. Too bad about the brakes but I'm sure that's one place Schwinn cut costs and a new set of good pads may help. Even with its MINOR flaws the brand names are going to have to up their game because of bikes like the Axum.
Absolutely right man, other brands as far as price and features are concerned. Appreciate the view and comment once again brother. Thanks and cannot wait for a good groupset, brakes and a fork for this BEAST!! Later brother and see you FRIDAY!
Cant wait for all the upgrades! Do you have any videos covering how to adjust these bikes out of the box? I’m having trouble making sure everything is safe to ride after assembling it
Man unfortunately we do not, that is not a bad idea but since we are not professionals!! LOL It may be a better fit for another channel. But that is a very good idea for a channel to do and focus on:) Thanks for the input PK.
@@WOLFTICKVIDEOS did you have any rubbing at all on the front brakes? If you do plan on changing the brakes soon, please do a video on how you installed it, I’d like to learn!
For sure man:) Word has it we are going to be getting some hydros for it soon:) You may want to "bed" them. This will help ware the uneven pads. Pedal up to about 15mph then brake to a walking pace with each of your levers-one at a time. Do this for each brake about 3 times and your rubbing noise should be gone and your pads and rotors will be ready to rock and roll man!
@@WOLFTICKVIDEOS do you have any recommendations for good comfy grips? I had my first ride on the Axum yesterday and I love it, but the grips really hurt my hand lol
Ok well I like thin grips, I love raceface half nlsons for the feel not so much the comfort and here recently shooby bikes sent us some pnw loam grips that are freaking sweet!! Red should go with it:) You will love the feel and comfort, very sticky:) Here is an affiliate link man, enjoy!! Thank you for asking -ebay.us/IXprbE
Man Jones! We have thought and thought about that brother, we wrote everything down and just never took flight. We will be doing one oneday I am sure so let's see....The nishiki for what it is is a hard ride to beat. Simple and to the point, the Malus is a sweet ride as well clean and very fun. But the most fun I have had on a bike out of the box has got to be the new Axum DP! I felt so one with it man, I was so comfortable jumping and taking corners, very well built and such a fun ride.
19:52 that's one of the things I hated with Shimano 11 speed XT8000 & XTR M9000 shifters, 4 downshifts was useless, 3 was possible but uncomfortable, and 2 was doable, 1 was more comfortable. but still I had to move the thumb too much for my liking. But I've not tried the 12 speed triggers yet. but I probably won't try them on my bikes, cus I have Archer D1XTrail. but if I get a chance to try it on someone else's bike when the covid thing is over then I will try it.
@@WOLFTICKVIDEOS true, sunrace 12 speed is pricy. Looks lik sram HG 12 speed is cheaper, but you can do 11speed, which is cheaper it works with 12 SPD rd. But if you have small wheels, 42t cassette will do 11 or 10 speed. Like in 26er. 46t max, 34t chainring.
Yeah Jeremiah is kinda weird about liking bigger bikes since he is only 5'5" but I think he is now starting to prefer his medium sized bikes a lot more. Thanks man, we are glad that you are still around after all this time👍👍.
My dropper cable broke a few times, now the piece of metal that holds that tiny barrel thingy broke, so I just emailed Schwinn. We'll see what they do about it.
Hahaha probably. I guess yellow or red would work as well. Did you enjoy the special downhill Realtime Review? We had you in mind since you enjoy downhill so much😂. Thanks Dan👍
@@WOLFTICKVIDEOS lol glad you enjoyed, and hope you picked up some cool stuff for future videos i think the tick will be happy when he see's what you bought..
We have tried so many pedals, and we luckily have liked most of them so far. Some are certainly better than others though. Thanks for watching our older videos man, you are dedicated for sure.👍
Great video guys. Would you be interested in doing a video on the complete geometry of both the medium and large Axums? You would be doing a great service to a lot of riders interested in knowing especially the reach, and also stack, bottom bracket height, wheelbase, head tube and seat tube angles....
Hey brother that is a great idea and thanks for the kind thought...Now unfortunately we shy away from geometry and angles due to miss information on our part. We are not professionals and try not to go to in depth when it comes to the geometry and complete measurments:) Not really our channel but man hopefully someone sees this that has both bikes and is a lot smarter than we are!! LOL Thanks W X
For sure man, I am glad you understand! Everytime I mention a measurement I get put on blast ha ha, the "professionals" come out of EVERYONE!! LOL Thanks man and such a good idea
Haha man it is not very fun for most people to ride with TH-camrs. We have to talk to our cameras and not each other plus we have to stop too often to make adjustments to camera gear and change batteries or to show something on the bike. We will be doing some kind of riding with subscribers this summer but it probably wont be always recorded. We will have to see how it goes. Thanks man!👍
@@WOLFTICKVIDEOS Noice! I really appreciate that. Someone blessed me with a Shimano Hydraulic front brake today. They said they didn't need it. I'm just going to order the rear. Seat and half the brakes knocked out already. This is going pretty well. Thanks for the videos. WolfTick Nation! 🐺 🪲
Its great to see you testing the downhill capabilities, but thats not what this frameset is for. The price is competing with bikes direct packages which offer more bike for hardtails.
I'm pretty sure that this is what they are trying to market this bike for. With the slacker headtube angle and wider tires it is aimed at the beginner downhill rider, or at least the idea of it. Thanks man👍
@@WOLFTICKVIDEOS You need to take a look at the TAZ 27.5 and 29er from bikes direct when reviewing hardtails. You will see the value for the riding your doing. Your audience will appreciate it.
I like the chin cam, but on your venue the bikes are the stars and and we get to see more of the bike in chest cam! I wanted to ask you...I have my bucklos 29 tapered coming in Friday. I’m kinda thinking about putting an extra spacer vs cutting the tube as low as it comes stock. Any thoughts on what’s list raising the handlebars clamp? I am 5’6”
Appreciate the feedback man, now when it comes to cutting your steerer tube I would say to just add spacers, You can always set your stem in the middle, bottom or top:) If you wanna raise the the stem Ill find you an affiliate link:) Good luck man! This is a 70mm with a 17degree rise. I like the 70 but nothing over that, then the 17 will be a good rise with not a huge climb:)
I may be on vacation, but Wolftick never sleeps!!!
Man thanks for watching on vacation! We NEED ONE!!! LOL #wolfticknation never sleeps!

Thanks a bunch B appreciate you watching at the end of your day! Lol have a good one man and see you FRIDAY!
Like the chin camera more than the chest camera. Able to see more of the trail. Just my preference.
I agree with you! Chin all the way for me. It shows off more trail and I could see the angles of the jumps and features better
Thanks for the input man, I like it too but kind of seems like the speed does not come across well, but I think it will be the chain cam when I wear the helmet now! Thanks
Just ordered this bike last night. Seeing such a positive review makes me feel alot better about it.
Man Kenny I think you will be pretty happy. If you got the DP model be careful of that dang cable situation.👍
Hi is the bike good for mountain?
Man did you watch the video? The bike is pretty damn good:)

@@WOLFTICKVIDEOS By the way. I noticed that you were very excited about that bike. I still haven't gotten over mine.
I love you guys just because it gives me this podcast community not TH-cam and I just love it. Keep it up !!!!
Did this on my specialized, was tight but got it in there and works a treat
Nice , hopefully he sees this! Thanks again Lost Trail:)
HAPPY TUESDAY!!! Shit... Wolftick are celebs!! Autographing bikes now???
YOU GUYS DESERVE IT!!! Best MTB channel on YT!!
Hahaha thanks man! Went from autographing posters from mma to bikes😂. Thanks Jason
Awesome start to the day off. Some pancakes and a wolftick video
Ha ha ain't nothing better man! Thank you Javier👍
6:50 love the orange. Sometimes (very often) I do also call orange green and green orange, lol
Man I knew it was not only me! HA HA Thanks for having my back brother:)
19:16 keep in mind that if the rear derailleur has some play, leaning bike over like this might result in change how the rearderaileur shifts, as it might sag in more, or lean the other way it might sag out more.
but when this happens the rear derailleur is close to needing to be replaced.
You are absolutely right man, I gotta play with it some more and learnt he bike. The shifting is so long in between lever push/pulls.
Thanks man, the Axum DP is really my favorite 29er and is really really close to being my #1 !! LOL
That Haze Creek Run trail looks hella fun! I got out on the trail again yesterday, and I didn't crash this time! It was really muddy though so I was being cautious. I still think I need some more upgrades and practice before I'll be confident enough to really send it on a black diamond trail
Sounds like a plan!! So happy you did not eat it😂😂 get some more upgrades and some seat time! Thanks Josie👍
I bought the blue axum non dp because of you guys. great bike, its perfect for what i need. Keep up the good work, you guys are great!
Tim love the comments man, thank you!! Glad the Axum is panning out for ya, it was a little big for me but man such a good bike for the $$$
I had to tighten my dropper eyelet on assembly. I need to go back and shorten the cable as well.
Man that thing was a pain in the BUTT!! LOL
I say you categorize stuff how you see it! You guys will take anything down the mountain which is awesome!
Hell yeah thanks Chris! Just wait till we get them rotors you sent on a bike!👍👍
I like your channel and I've been looking around, like your down to earth out of the box reviews and the knowledge you have and share.
Well thank you, appreciate the comment and glad you found us.
I just got my Axum put together last night. Definitely a sweet ride
Awesome Jason! Let us know how you like it.
@@WOLFTICKVIDEOS I love it. I’m Already doing upgrades That medium frame fits me so well.
I accidentally ordered a BUCKLOS fork with a thru axle. Is there any way to make that work with the factory wheel?
No sir....Not that we know of:( Would have to get a new hub or a new wheel...
Those Knives look awesome!! 😁 Also that glass is hilarious 🤣🤣🤣
Hahaha we have the best viewers don't we. We are lucky for sure.👍
I couldn't find the Acolytes derailleur myself, so I went with the 10 spd MicroSHIFT Advent X derailleur and cassette instead. That's gonna go on soon 👍
Dude seems everyone loves that thing! Please let us know how you like it man. I am surprised you found one

Absolutely man, that's what we are trying to show EVERYONE! LOL Thanks for being here and understanding us man.
Bravo!! That was awesome 👌. I am starting to love that red and blue frame especially comparing it with the Trek.
Man it looks so sweet! I'm with you a little funky in the beginning but outside it looks sweet!! Thanks brother!
Yeah man just showing the mans cool ride on the trail:)
Love to see you guys enjoying the goodies!
LOL DUDE!! Just what th eDOCTORM ORDERED! HA HA MY MAN! Thanks a bunch Paul, gonna be going on soon dude! HALF NELSONS BABY!

My dropper cable broke today. Never even got to ride the bike yet. Thanks for the videos. Great information.
LOL Thanks Stew, sucks you did not even get to ride it! Man that is a bummer, ours surprisingly held up! Appreciate the comment and the love man, see you FRIDAY!
My dropper post came apart from the eyelet piece when I was putting it together and I put it on and tightened it down hard
Man it seems like everyone has that PROBLEM!! CRAZY RIGHT??
@@WOLFTICKVIDEOS it’s a weird cable a different lever and cable would be better
@@WOLFTICKVIDEOS bad assambly and no threadlocker used? Not surprising.
Just a weird design.....It is all dependent upon the rider to install.
You gonna love those Orange Rockbros pedals. The wider platform and grip is awesome!! Love the new Axum DP!!
Dude! Is it sweet or what! Love the pedals and they will go PERFECT with the GRIPS!! Thanks SHOOBY BIKES!
Thanks man, we agree a good buy for sure. I think it is a groupset, brakes and fork away from an amazing bike!
I think the helmet cam is better than the chest but if you got a gimbal for the chest mount it would be about the same. Now you need to do a shoot out between the al comp and that medium axum to see if 27.5 is better than that 29er.
Appreciate the input man, I think so as well. Now the al Comp vs the Axum?? Hmmm, what about the GT vs the AL COMPZERKER!!
@@WOLFTICKVIDEOS 🤔😮🤫😁
See you guys finally got a set of fookers. Now you guys have to get a Microshift Advent X, great rear derailleur.
Might as well get a Manitou fork too!! LOL Thanks brother
Good, glad you tightened the crap out of it! but man it is a SKETCHY!! LOL I cringe every time I press it and it seems to hang in there:)
I really like those knives! You guys really get some great support! Not everyone needs a clutch, depends on how your using it.
I ride my Comp so hard I need 2 clutches!!!!
@Chris Horbatt-Man we do as well and are so grateful for our supporters out there. Very awesome, also I agree with clutches all in how you ride, the axum needs one!
@@WOLFTICKVIDEOS yeah, didnt mean you, you definitely need a clutch!
The only time I turn my clutch on is when I'm riding downhill or hitting jumps and I'm not doing alot of shifting
🤣🤣YES!
I don't think they tighten the lad end on the dropper post cable at the post mine came off as well I put it back on adjusted it and tightened it and have not had one single issue they should really warn you about that
Absolutely man, it is a mess! LOL I tightened the one under the remote as well, it was very very loose!
Awesome video, suggesting this bike to some of my friends that are looking to get into mountain biking. Nice wrestler ears BTW.
Hahaha thanks! It is a great bike for the money for sure.
I love when I watch your videos over again. I laugh at something new every time.
"The UK's" 😂😂😂
😂😂🤣Awesome man, its like the movie Superbad! Everytime there is something to pickup on:) Thank you Dan
Just got my Axum from Walmart for $228! I can can't believe this bike was half off. Great value!
Crazy deal! I almost had to buy a spare. 😅
The microshift acolyte with the spring lock was available on eBay. The guy had 9 and they sold out in less than 8 hours. I got lucky randomly searching one morning and have the whole acolyte groupset on the way.
DUDE!!!! You lucky DOG!! Drunken Ebay must have missed it ha ha!
Awesome man! That sounds like a pretty good build👍.
1:15 sounds like maybe a bit of chain lube down those cable hoses wouldn’t hurt 🤫
Not a bad idea! Thanks man, we will see after I shorten the cable.
I put shimano deore 4 piston on my Axum. Those the the 6000 series, they make a 5000 series that is also 4 piston and honestly looks the same besides some cosmetic difference.
Hmmm gotta check those out. I've got the 420s on my GT and love them, kinda scary good. We are in the market for some more 4 pistons!
would like to see a side by side with the Acension seeing as how that frame is touted as having a 1/2 lower top tube. Regardless, Schwinn really must drop the standover on all of these bikes... ALComps, Acensions, Boundarys, Tafts, Axums... all these need a re-design to give us a straight line from head to tail. Love chin cam... nice view, natural head/neck gimble and without noodle arms!
Ha ha thanks man, cannot have noodle arms!! Lol a side by side with the new axum sounds good! Thanks brother👍👍
DAMN man!!! LOL ben there but so stoked you got one!!! Keep us updated on the build brother:)
Another awesome realtime review, thinking I might have to buy another Axum 😉 I like the chin cam on the downhill section.
HA HA Love it , I saw the pics and was all excited! Man the chain snapped huh!! :)m Sounds like you sent it!!! WAY TO GO!! HA HA HA!
17 inches, most bikes will have short seat tube, so that's not really relevant measurment, but reach, stand over height is, stand over height is what you showed at 0:12, it's measured from ground to centre of top tube. on my g1 it's about 82cm
I gotta measure then BB height:)
👌👌👌
Thats a lot of info!!
the lever thing might be just friction in the lever pivot, and play. but I think it's a good idea to check if it's installed properly. also it might have a kinked wire and cable.
and I always prefer the wire end block to be at the dropper post, not the remote.
and not use a barrel clamp at dropper post. not fun having to have wire loosen cus of bolt loosened from the barrel. I have BikeYoke Divine dropper post.
So I swapped it and installed it the wrong way intentionally after I installed it correctly first, and it loosened during a short ride in sub zero temps., yes it had Loctite 243 but it did not help.
You use LOCTITE?? LOL!!
@@WOLFTICKVIDEOS what's funny? don't worry I don't use Loctite as lube.

thank you for sharing....
Can get some more cow bell with that into song?
🤣🤣🤣Might just need a little towards the end!! LOL Thanks I guess?? Christopher 🤣🤣
You may need to go to the pharmacy section to find the lube your looking for... lol Great video man. Always enjoyable!
LOL Thanks brother! Hope you looked in the affiliate links!! HA HA HA!
Dang it I’m at work and the captions haven’t loaded on the video yet! I noticed that same difference between medium and large frames in that top tube though. Medium frames look a little sicker imo because of it 👍

I just bought a Schwinn Axum (non-dp) for $50 off of Marketplace, the bike itself looks brand new the only issues are that both tires are flat... 😅
Do you have a scoring system for the bikes like you do for forks and tires? Which one, out of the box, is your favorite?
We may look into a budget 12spd man, we were pricing stuff out today and it seems the cassettes are SO EXPENSIVE!!
Got my acolyte derailleur yesterday hopefully gonna record the install tmrw :D

Hey brother that is a great idea and thanks for the kind thought...Now unfortunately we shy away from geometry and angles due to miss information on our part. We are not professionals and try not to go to in depth when it comes to the geometry and complete measurments:) Not really our channel but man hopefully someone sees this that has both bikes and is a lot smarter than we are!! LOL Thanks W X
@@WOLFTICKVIDEOS I totally get it. No doubt riders can get too obsessed with measurements 🤣
For sure man, I am glad you understand! Everytime I mention a measurement I get put on blast ha ha, the "professionals" come out of EVERYONE!! LOL Thanks man and such a good idea
I would raelly like to see you ride with this subscriber 👍
Haha man it is not very fun for most people to ride with TH-camrs. We have to talk to our cameras and not each other plus we have to stop too often to make adjustments to camera gear and change batteries or to show something on the bike. We will be doing some kind of riding with subscribers this summer but it probably wont be always recorded. We will have to see how it goes. Thanks man!👍
I’m waiting for my boundary to get here baby
Good choice man! The Boundary is a fun bike and a good value.
There might be a little oil on brake disks from the factory…
Man I hope so! The brakes are in need of some HYDRAULICS! LOL
Why did you get the red not the dark blue but its all preference
Man we did not have a red bike!!LOL Thats about it:)
Those knives are pretty cool!
They are sweet man! Oh and got that seat sent out today!!
Thats bada$$ man! Co, a rear should be pretty budget friendly!
After riding what would you say are the "must upgrade" areas? Seems like the brakes are one of those areas along with a fork?
Brakes then grips!!
Ok will do man, that site is a mess! LOL But we will look into it, thanks!
@@WOLFTICKVIDEOS Top of the page MTB.
Brother!!! That hat! Digging that hat!
Lol thanks man! It fits so well! Very budget 😂😂 hooie man👍
I like the chin cam, but on your venue the bikes are the stars and and we get to see more of the bike in chest cam!
@@WOLFTICKVIDEOS Thanks!
