@@D0Samp M249 and Negev are classified as Mid-Tier guns so they go in one of the 5 mid-tier slots in the middle of the loadout screen. You have to click and drag them to the slots. They can replace any of the guns in the five slots with the LMGs, or just choose not to use the LMGs at all

I still have terrible memories of playing Condition Zero where one of the maps required killing 3 enemies with M249 without dying and then winning the match. On Hard difficulty.
The funny thing is, the M249 already could be used for suppressing fire even before the Negev update. The start up is wonky but after that the grouping is pretty tight.

Actually, buying a M249 on a 16-0 is perfect because with auto snipers you can still ensure your victory because of how broken they are, but buying the M249 will only further demoralize your enemy because you can still beat them with useless expensive guns
Try shotguns. Flashing and rushing in low economy rounds can be traumatizing for the t side. Especially if you're going to rush in narrow spaces. The flash goes off, t side has 3 deaths and they didn't even shot once. They don't try to come from the same place for at least 2 rounds.
