  • Our day started off with a delicious breakfast at the Andaz hotel where we are staying. The level of service was unmatched, and the breakfast was excellent with Japanese and Western options.
Since we didn't have Suica cards, we had to buy single journey train tickets each time we wanted to take the subway to get around Tokyo. It was a bit of a hassle, so we recommend getting a transit card at the airport when you arrive.
Our first stop of the day was Asakusa, a vibrant area in Tokyo. The sun was shining brightly as we made our way to the famous Sensoji Temple, a Buddhist temple in Asakusa. The architecture of the temple was breathtaking and we all took some time to appreciate this most visited spot in Tokyo.
One of the highlights of our visit to Sensoji Temple was trying the fortune sticks. It was a unique experience, but we wish our fortunes were better!
As we headed out of the temple, we couldn't resist trying dango, the popular mochi snack that was being sold by vendors outside. The chewy texture and sweet and salty flavor made it the perfect treat to end our visit to Asakusa.
Overall, it was a day filled with exploring new sights, trying new experiences, and indulging in delicious food. Tokyo never fails to amaze us with its rich culture and vibrant energy. We can't wait to see what other adventures await us in this incredible city. Stay tuned for part 2 of our Tokyo adventures!
