Replacing Trees in Our Orchard

  • When a fruit tree dies, it dies for a reason. When we replace it, we need to take that reason into account if we can. Today I'll tell you some of the reasons why I don't like to simply replace a tree with an exact replica of the one that died.

    Good points there, sir! Had most of my breeding stock die out this year...it hurts for sure! You've got some some good looking native soil there! Congrats on the magical 1k as well! Sorry I haven't been by to check out any videos lately. Heading over to do that now! Cheers!

      Thanks! Yeah, overall our soil doesn't need amended too much. But this spring has been crazy dry, so we've had to do a lot of watering to keep our young trees and garden in good shape. I've hardly had time to set up my camera and film lately, let alone edit - growing season is in full swing! But the 1k mark was awesome to hit! It's been a lot of fun putting this channel together and sharing what we're doing here - now I just need a few rainy days to edit some of the other videos I've already filmed!
