amazing fish room! quick question… i purchased very similar racks shown in your thumbnail. have you experienced any issues with bowing in the center of the shelves? mine dont have any wire grids or center bracing and it looks like youve loaded your shelves to the max aquariums!
No dramas with mine so far, they do have a centre brace although nothing special, these shelves were rated to 400kg per shelf without the timber which helps even the weight load. I'll certainly keep an eye on it, that's why I only went the two tanks per shelf on most so it's around half the weight the shelf is rated to, I never tryst what's on the box LOL.
Cheers from my fish room in Chicago! Very slick room you have, let alone the outside operation! You're hands are full. PS: Good luck fishing on the boat - my other hobby too ;)
Nice setup Did you buy or make all those tanks? Going to get cold in winter in SA for the tubs, will you heat or just cover them. Puts my little racks to shame lol😂
The tropical fish outside will come into the fishroom for winter, most of the tubs are for growing out fry in summer just to get quicker growth rates. Seems to work well just need to make room inside for everything soon LOL
Yeah I have had to make sure all the tubs have large amounts of weed on top or they cook when it's 40 plus, always a challenge here and weather has been inconsistent
Yep everything from bunings, they have wire on the shelves but they have plg sheets that fit on each size unit. I just painted timber black to match in.
get ready for 200+ kribensis fry XD they spawn massive my pair hatched out 267 fry of which 254 survived to 3/4inch. having alot of trouble getting rid of more than 20 at a time
That's what happened with mine haha i gave away the male and put the female in with my rainbows and they get the culls of other fish fry and shrimp for treats. @@Fin2FinAquariums
Love the way you setup the tub outside! Thank you for sharing 🤝
Thanks, sorry I missed this comment it's a work in progress that's for sure.

Yeah that's the worry, I'll try and breed them once, and then they will find themselves in with other fish that might control the fry.

Do you have an auto water change system or youa re doing manual water change for all of them?
