I’ll take seniors and graduates over freshman any day we have guys that’s been there and done that by staying in school for 4 years and 5 years if we gel and play together which I believe they will this will be a special year that we been wanting for a long while .. GO BIG BLUE !!
He's a good solid reliable dependable experienced stretch 4. Fits well with the other two bigs. I like the way Pope put together this rag-tag bunch of portal scraps to build what looks like should be a top 4/5 team in the SEC with the potential to maybe get to the 2nd weekend. And who knows, if everything gels perfectly could be really good?
Honestly Carr might be the most important piece we have right now bc of his versatility. If we stuck with this exact lineup right now I think there is a good chance he leads us in scoring. Now if we get Chaz or Jaxson I would say those guys would lead but as of now Carr is the number one option
At first I was skeptical about Carr, but as I went and watched him play I actually think he is exceptional with the basketball when it comes to ball handling at his size. He can pass extremely well, and has killer footwork. Kentucky can literally put out a lineup with Kerr Krissa, Kobe brea, Collin Chandler, Andrew Carr and Amari Williams. With literally every body on the floor a threat from the peremiter other than Williams, although he is a 35 percent 3 pt shooter in his own right. If you ask me I think depending on who else they add id go with a lineup of Krissa, Brea , Butler, Otega Oweh, and Carr. That's a good lineup, but if you need defense you can always stick a defensive lineup in . Hopefully Kentucky lands one more wing type player that can score, of they land Chaz Lanier or Jaxson Robinson that would be huge.
Seriously bring unbiased I don’t see how he’s not projected being better than Grant Nelson because he was last year maybe not in the SEC but still the ACC, he does everything better than Grant especially on defense not because Carr is great but Nelson is terrible but he handles the ball Better has better post moves shoots the 3 as good probably better Nelson might be more athletic but I’ll take skill over talent all day Nelson gets more attention because the team success but Carr was the second best player on a team that overachieved and he will be better than Nelson this year overall and on paper with probably less playing time, Carr will average more points assists and blocks at 22 min compared to Nelson 30 minutes he might even average more rebounds
