Literally just embarrassed all U.S nfl journalism with one question.
English accent is what drops the 🎤.
The UK is on another level.
@@hrysivjt67 i think the UK is on a standard level, the US is just as bad as it gets
Shits on them. US “journalism” in sports is now more about drama and what not and very rarely about Xs and Os.
I love it I wish there were more mainstream outlets that talk about football like this.
A lot of journalists know but have to dumb it down for their audience. Most people don’t know X’s and O’s and will check out if they get too technical
Mike is amazing but I wasn’t expected this British dude to have top tier football iq. There’s some Americans that don’t even know wich position does what
So called “analysts” on TV dont even break it down like this foreign reporter did..
Some.... Lol
Most 😂
Hi im a Iraqi Jamaican living in Afghanistan 🇦🇫 and even I know what a vertical post wheel and rail wheel positions are
Obviously every single person won’t know something that’s like saying even tho 7.5 billion people on this planet know what air is some don’t of course theirs not one thing on this planet every single soul is aware of not water not air not anything
@@naklovesjesus3204most? Vast majority.
It’s such a dope feeling when someone else actually understands and knows about the same passions that you have, just cuz they aren’t in the profession doesn’t mean they don’t know. Fantastic reporter right there
This comment hits me. I do music so it’s a different field, but your comment applies so heavily
I don't know the feeling because I have no passions
@@sibaroochi wow thats deep. But i'm in the same boat as you
@@soren_prod who doesnt like music though lmao
Mike is such a cool dude
Broncos ball boy to head coach, I like this dude
Totally! Anyone who is a longtime close friend of Dan Soder probably is.
Wish there was more like these guys. These are the type of reporters players and coaches don’t mind dealing with.
Agreed. Thanks for this comment. We appreciate guys like that you’re correct. As we put a lot of time and effort into this gig so to get a an in-depth question like this makes our work all worth it
Mike didn’t let him finish the question I kinda wanted to hear his answer
Who’d watch though? Most fans are casuals. Getting technical w football makes it schoolwork for them
Hire that man
I could see Mike McDaniel doing it too. It wouldn't have surprised me if he asked him if he wanted a job right then and there.
Mike is the coach we all wish we had
Mike Tomlin I knew it
My niners did have him 😢
and Dad...
as a 49er fan I can't tell you how much I miss him... and Demico... and Saleh...
The British reporter has a deep understanding of our game.
The reporter is for sure getting a job with the Dolphins soon. JK. But nah seriously, seeing Mike amazed is a wonderful sight to behold. Dude is so chill
Kudos to that reporter
Classically trained actor W
Cut to the american reporter: "Uhh.. were you sad when you lost?"
Don’t forget “Do you think Taylor Swift being in attendance caused your team to lose?”
You cant help but love this dude 🤣
A true student of the game.
Give that reporter a raise !
we did
Dude wish him nothing but the best.
Mike is suck an upstanding man. His battle with addiction is an incredible story
Doing the 🇬🇧🇬🇧🇬🇧 proud, never seen a British journalist in NBA, NFL, etc
very much so very very very rarely do any us journalists ask in depth scheme questions or anything of that nature they don’t understand it for the most part
I'm not a Dolphin fan but Mike McDaniel has to be the coolest coach in the NFL.
Dan Campbell
Mike need to hire that man he knows the offense better than opposing dcs
Nice to know the London expansion team has an OC candidate lined up.
Give that man a job in sunny Miami. His level of examination and understanding is an asset.
He pretty clearly has a job in sunny Miami lol
@@portlandgoose4727 My dude they played this game in Germany. I’m talking about the Euro reporter dropping knowledge.
Edit: To the guy who says “clearly” with no clarity.
@@GotoyourhomeBall oh yeah i Guess i am that guy lol
@@portlandgoose4727 All good 🤙
If you look at McDaniels eyes man hes a thinker. He always trying to absorb and then adapt.
WOW this britt knows his stuff
Love this dude he’s gonna be the new style of coach you need someone young who can relate to these kids he’s in his prime right in the freakin slot like Julian.. he’s older than the 20 something year old rookie yet he’s not so old he doesn’t know the youth m. Miami nailed it with Mike absolutely nailed it
Love the change in body language when he realized that someone was actually asking a question of substance. A total switch from "let's get this over with" to "now we're talking", almost reminiscent of Bill Belichick when you ask him about his favorite punt formation in the 1960s.
“Now im just flexing” 🤣🤣
Denver should hire this guy as a Defensive coordinator
Coaches like when people care, and put in the work, and take their stuff seriously.
This guy does.
With a coach like Mike a championship is just around the corner!
If I could be like Mike!
When did Logic start coaching in NFL?
I love coach Dan Campbell because I'm a Detroit fan all day every day lol. But, I love this guy as a close second lol!
Yet another great byproduct of international NFL games. Fans and reporters over there can't simply take dudes like Mike McDaniel for granted since they may honestly never see him on their soil again. Notice the reporter isn't ask nitpicky questions (despite the Dolphins losing the game) in order to bait him into buzzworthy headlines about something his players did or didn't do correctly. Not only is his knowledge of the game exquisite, but his APPRECIATION for the NFL is on full display here. Hats off sir.
That was nice of Mike to humor him
Somebody would be smart to hire those reporter as an analyst. I’m getting Jobah Hill in Moneyball vibes
haha! "clearly you have an accent." What a funny thing to say
NFL Knows what they doing bringing football over seas
Mike's thinking to himself: bro your NOT wrong BUT don't share so much! Other teams could be *listening* 😂
He didn't really say much honestly.. just how he runs his offense, nothing coaches in the NFL don't already know
He was literally taking aback 😂😂 he rules
There's so many good elements to this clip.
Dude rocks
Dudes rock*
@@Retarded_CatHell yeah dude
Not a Dolphins fan but Mike is my current favorite coach.
McDaniel is my favorite NFL head coach and it's not close
McDaniel doesn't talk x's and o's, the journalist knew more than he did 😂
There's this great reporter, then there's the ones that ask those absurd ridiculous even offensive questions to players (usually after a tough loss to boot) & then whine when the players get mad.
It's incredible the range of people in the exact same profession. Especially ones that speak publicly for a living.
The way he knew he threw in Mike Shanahan elements is phenomenal. Good show. 🎉😮
This could be a movie!
Now that is ball knowledge
Mike cut him off without actually answering his questions. He was like “Stop! You’re giving the whole scheme away!”
Finally, a GOOD reporter!
A great way to avoid answering the question because you're getting too far into strategy while still charming the media--Coach is great!
That's how you get a job real quick.
Germans basically loves and adores anything Americans do. Whatever Americans do, Germany won't be far behind b/c this is the nation with the most American military bases in the world, outside of Japan. They truly love America over there.
Is this what actual journalism looks like? Wow.
I love how Europe and the UK are starting to get into American Football!!!
He definitely says it’s called soccer 😂💀
😂
"Now you're just flexing"
Yeah, I am 😂😂
hes like okay let's hear another dumb question and..... wow I'm impressed
hes probably thinking I wish more American reporters were like this
The guy that asked that question was Simon Clancy of the 3YardsPerCarry Podcast
I know this guy that's Trent Crimm from the Independent
Better question than he'd get from Screaming A
Soon as the reporter says the word Vertical. Mike realizes this guy is wild.
Reminds me of patrice talking about them putting pam Oliver on the field to report. The guys are gonna kick the ball and then throw it around a few times and then run it to the end and make a score.
Thanks Pam-male newscaster
You're welcome!!!
Impressed to see an English guy bringing some actual knowledge to a press conference
The reporter did his homework
I fuckin love coach!!
I bet that gentleman works for the NFL very soon
after this presser the dude was given a position as Assistant OC.
Reporter: evaluation
Mike: this dude about to expose my 5 year plan, let me cut him off real quick
American "Football" is contagious I tell ya😂
Should have offered him an analyst job…scouting opponents schemes 👍✌️
This is a guy you would like to play for
Trent Crimm: The Independent
These guys are definitely pen pals now
Most coaches aren't ready for real though out, in-depth questions in the media. Usually they're just pundits trying to cause drama or get some kind of emotional outburst out of a coach.
Great guy
Wtf did Mike just say every word that i was thinking???
This is the type of reporter that we need for the past 15 years at least! Not these reporters that say Hey did you hear what this paper said about you or what this person said on Twitter about you.
It's long past time to stop the nonsense and get if meaningful reports.
McDaniel looks like a guy who's not aloud within 500 feet of a school.
You look like a guy who's not "aloud" within 500 feet of a thesaurus.
The idea a foreigner knows what's up is sic. The 49ers miss this dude.
Europeans understand sports on a tactical level way better than us Americans. If they decide to pick up American football, that learning curve will be quick. Especially on the coaching front.
This is my favorite coach ! 😂
Honestly... Dudes knowledge is surprising to me also 😅
The way he cocks his head as soon as reporter says "Kamikaze style RPO's" ...like oh, what do we have here...lol
Mike is a great guy but good teams give him a hard time
Mad impressive
Football is so simple. For example the quarterback is clearly the only player guaranteed to be back every single quarter
If reporters did more of this as oppose to just asking basic drama filled questions I might watch post game reports
So refreshing. It would be nice to see a higher, more intellectual, or even just meaningful level of discourse in general in the world but I won’t hold my breath lol
ESPN or the NFL needs to hire this reporter because there are some ‘analysts’ that are just absolutely clueless if it’s not the team that they support.
Now imagine if this same question was asked to cam newton by a female reporter.
I was expecting the reporter to say, YOOOUU have an agcent!!
I’ve been a Cowboys fan my entire life and McDaniels is easily my favorite coach. I mean McCarthy may not put up much of a fight in that race but McDaniels is well ahead of any of the others. I just love his approach.
He just referenced McDaniel's former HC... actually the easiest reference of everything that reporter said but, ok? 🤷♂️
If that's all u got out of it. 😂😂😂 ok
@@Vamp-tc8bx ...at the end, when McDaniels told him, "you're just flexing now".
It's become a shtick for McDaniels at press conferences by now. Maybe it's endearing to city of Miami and Dolphins fans but, to those outside Dolphins bubble? It's run its course.
@@R__Kbuddy calm down this ain’t calculus 🤣😂. Who gives a fuck lol.
@@R__Klmao I mean plenty of people enjoy it, you’ve gone out of your way to engage with it yet are saying it’s run its course. Strange behavior
@@R__Kno you're nterpreting flexing wrong lol he was still giving him props for his knowledge because he noticed how his RPO style was similar to his old HC after already breaking down the RPO differences..he wasn’t mad at him..he was saying now you’re just showing off type of thing in a good way..
Reminder that Mike Shanahan, a top 10-15 all time NFL head coach, whose offense heavily influences so many modern ones IS SOMEHOW NOT IN THE HOF!! FIX IT NFL
Man i love football
"vuhtically down the field"
Yeah. American press asks shit like “coach, did you lose this game or the the other team win”? That should be a slapable question.
love me some Matty Brown but GET TO THE QUESTION WHAT ARE YOU ACTUALLY ASKING
One football nerd notices another. That’s awesome.
He should have offered the guy a job.
"Football is like magic. There's a certain feeling you get when you're real and you spit and people are feeling your sht."
Eminem, probably
Meanwhile, American reporters: So during the last two minute drive, tell us what’s going through your head 😂😂😂
